OP that’s not the whole truth of what we read in US documents. Paragraph 7,8,9,10 are not correct. From the official documents, Hush contacted Abba and told him that someone wanted to kill his family. Abba contacted a police officer to arrest the guy. Abba requested for mobilisation money from Hush to be paid directly to the officer who will do the job. The amount of mobilisation money is not mentioned in the document. Abba detained the guy and sent picture to Hush to confirm that they picked the correct guy. Abba was not aware of the motive of Hush other than the story he was told by Hush - that he wanted to kill his family. After month Abba could not get evidence that the guy actually wanted to kill Hush family, that’s why he was released.

At the end of the day, Abba did not collect any money and he did not know the real motive of Hush. This happens a lot in the society where rich people call the police and mobilise them with money so as to punish their foes. That’s exactly what Hush has used Abba Kyari for, without the poor man realising that a major scam was in the offing.
R

And you think police won't have question the culprit. Are you saying a whole month that the culprit was locked up, they did do investigate on what actually transpired between the two of them, for hush claiming he wants to kill his family. Abba kyari is not innocent. He used his position to acquire wealth illegally. There must have been other evil things he is involved in

USA is light years ahead of most countries when it comes to strong institutions. Look at how FBI took their time and established facts about those criminals without making noise or giving any clue of what they were up to till they finished their investigation.

This Abba Kyari's case would determine the seriousness of this administration on war against corruption mantra.

USA are still the dirtiest people

The CIA and fbi have a lot of skeletons in the cup boards

For all you know, Kyari might not be aware the nature of the business.

Was it explicitly stated?

Yes, he asked Hush what is really happening and Hush sent him a detailed voice note.

Stop lying.

We read the document. He collected money. Kept the person without charging him to court for a month. Asked Hushpuppi to explain what really happened and got a detailed voice note from Hushpuppi that Vincent is trying to divert a fraud deal.

Stop making excuses for someone who is supposed to prevent crime but was helping to enforce same.

That's my greatest joy and happiness.. I hope the twist and follow up of the news will last for 3 months so that the show will be buried naturally.

It wasn't explicitly stated what business Hushpuppi was transacting.

Before his arrest, Hushpuppi was widely touted to be a Real estate investor and social media influencer.

Actually it was stated explicitly. Maybe you should go read the complaint.

Buhari is not the only problem we have in Nigeria. Everyone is a contributing factor toward the present challenges in the country. Starting from the gateman, to Pastors, MDs, HR, admission officers, recruitment teams etc, Inshort Everyone is a thief in one way or the other, if given same opportunity.

You are the one concluding on the fraud component of the deal.

This was never explicitly stated in the voice note but Kyari should have been more circumspect. More so than any regular Joe might be.

Yet not being circumspect doesn't make one an accomplice.

In any case, Kyari has besmirched the name of the Nigeria Police Force (make of that what you may) and as a result, Kyari should be summarily dismissed.

He can fight his case of extradition when that time comes.

I don't see anything that implicates Abba Kyari in this narrative.

As far as Abba is concerned, he got a tip off about a fraudster and he acted subsequently.

Abba has no power to arrest Hoshpoppi in a foreign land.

Case closed. wink

The question now is could Abba have prevented the said fraud taking place in a foreign land?

That is the question the US courts and US Authorities will have determine its answer.

It's bcoz your orientation as a Nigerian is twisted and you don't know any better. It's not your fault bcoz you're only the product of your society.

You simply do not understand the gravity of kyari's involvement and you would wonder why the FBI are after him.

Ndo.

You will never see and this is just one of his many atrocities. By the time he joined his friends your eyes will be cleared to see. The same way people didn't see Ibori as a corrupt politician in Nigeria until he was jailed in UK.

I think as a police officer , Kyari did bad here, Kyari will be punished by PUNISH POLICE, Kyari upon received a called from HUSH, he would have told him to call his lawyer and write petition , it is not part of police work go after someone who dupe another person without petition approved by DIG or IG himself.... But where he will escape is that, according to the DOCUMENT hush never told FBI Kyari was part of the deal, he said he bribe him to PUNISH CHIBUIZOR, here are two separate thing, except there are other hidden documents KYARI will not be released by Nigeria government, because Kyari was part of the crime neither involved in the crime.. why FBI is going after everybody that partook knowing or knowing is because they need to get the money back for the owner. I advice everybody not the collect money you never know source, we have the similar case now in our office both people that received 4000 ,2000 naira were all have their account blocked, we had almost 48 account blocked. BE BOLD TO STAND AGAINST CRIME IN GUISE.

He was an accomplice in the deal because he was asked to arrest and detain the guy so that that hushpuppi could continue scamming the guy unchallenged.
Secondly the laptop and gadgets he seized from the chibuzo is of interest to the FBI.

He played a minor role and that's why he's a person of interest mind you not everybody hushpuppi sent money to was arrested.

It is possible that Abba Kyari did not know about the scam before arresting Chibuzor but it is highly unlikely that he remained ignorant of the crime after the arrest. While beating Chibuzor as alleged, do you think Chibuzor would have kept mum about the scam?

Besides, if it is true that he travelled on all expense paid trip by Huss to Dubai, that also increases the suspicion that he later knew about the crime (that is if he was not aware initially).

How circumspect could kyari have been - what was the #8m payment for?

But why are you like this?

Is there any doubt business was involved?

If business was involved wouldn't there be a money component?

If money was discussed does this explicitly determine the nature of the business?

You go school na.

Hushpuppi said "Message the job". Job is a well known slang for scam. A synonym for maga/mugu. Go back and read the screenshot again. Stop trying to be clever by half.

Yes it does. Total payments to Kyari were over 8 million. Including another 1 million Kyari collected from Chibuzor. Go and read the complaint. It's all in there. I repeat, take time and read the complaint instead of playing devil's advocate when the evidence presented by the FBI is to the contrary. Hush also ordered Kyari to keep Chibuzor's devices and not return it to Chibuzor. And yet you say he was unaware.

Anybody that tows your line of argument after reading the complaint is quite frankly obtuse.
