I gave her a convincing example of our late maternal grandfather who invented a herbal medicine that has healed many people of bone fracture till date by our mother, which also healed her son last year without any stress... but she insisted that it was only faith that healed her son without acknowledging the impact of the medicine.

I told her to encourage creativity for our next generations to enjoy the benefits as well... but Mama no gree, na so so give your life to Christ she dey yarn.

I value family so much and I won't tolerate some foreign religion to cause division between us.

What step should I take next?

Was like this 2006 , I think I was 13 to 14years then,..was still young fresh and a bit innocent.
I used to go Church steadily.

The advice I am going to give you, I have practicalised it and it was 100% effective for me back then..

Bro, Call her bluff.. let her know that you choose to live your life in a certain way or manner and no one should question your choice..
Just like KingOG my good friend said.. myself, I got to a certain age and I started questioning my religion (Christianity) and the way it has been bastardized in this country (no apologies to who still hold on to it in this country) I decided I have had enough, and cancelled attending church nor such religious gatherings.. it is over a decade now and believe me, I worship God in my heart and not in any church and I am doing just fine.. back then my mom tried to convince me otherwise even my eldest bro, I was blunt and outrightly rejected such overtures.. they let me be and respected my decision..

Another personal general life rules that I apply and that has been working for me is.. Being Blunt.. Bare my mind not minding whose OX is gored.. see bro, if somethings or plans, decisions etc makes you uncomfortable and you can't voice out because you don't want to CLASH with the person or people behind it, then you would suffer so much and end up being frustrated..
Whatever you are not comfortable with, voice it out and set boundaries.. that is how to gain peace..
Finally.. Personally, The moment I stopped caring about what anyone including family thinks about me (in as much as I am convinced I am on the right path) That was when my freedom started till date..

Make your rules.. and be FREE..
