WHY IPOB's CALL FOR MONDAY SIT-AT-HOME IS A WELCOMED DEVELOPMENT!!

Without mincing words, it is important to clarify why those crying wolf now over the IPOB Monday sit-at-home order are mischievous.

Is it really about the economy? Is it really about the survival of the most vulnerable amongst us as they alleged?

If that is the case, let's consider how many holidays we have in a calendar year in Nigeria;

1) First of January.
2) Workers Day
3) Children's day
4) Democracy day.
5) National Youth day
6) Christmas day
7) Easter Day
Salah Holidays.
9) Armed Forces Day
10) Independence anniversary

Needless to mention numerous sundays that people stay at home to attend church services.

How about the pandemic? Did they consider the sufferings of the masses when they imposed lockdown that lasted for more than 2 months?

Did they consider the economy? Aren't they the same people that hid the palliatives meant to be disbursed to the poor masses to help them survive during the pandemic?

If all these holidays are worth it, why was it difficult for the Southeast Governors/Politicians to accept 30th of May's sit-at-home in honor of millions their own kits and kins massacred during the genocidal war of 1967-70?

Is there any holiday more important than honoring those that made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of their people?

How about Governor Willy Obiano that mapped out a day in Anambra to honor late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe? Why didn't anybody complain it would harm the economy of the state?

At first, we were meant to believe that 30th of May sit-at-home is needless because, it would hurt the economy of the East not until they realize they no longer control the narratives that, they decided to join the queue.

Same thing is repeating itself again now. Southeast Governors were the first to proscribe IPOB. Prior to that, and beyond, there was no record of IPOB physically attacking nor killing anyone. The only reason given by Southeast Governors is that IPOB wants to divide Nigeria.

How about operation Python dance 1,2,3? What was the reason nor the need for it? Was it not approved by Southeast Governors and Ohaneze ndigbo?

From the onset, these people have never supported IPOB. As a matter of fact, they are the ones that aided and abetted the killing of igbo youths under the pretence of restoring peace in the region and sustaining one Nigeria.

To make you understand the level of their hypocrisy; instead of complaining about IPOB's every Monday sit-at-home order, why didn't they come together and de-proscribe IPOB as a sign of solidarity to it's unlawfully detained leader?

Does it mean they didn't see how the Yoruba stood for Chief Sunday Igboho and made sure he wasn't repatriated back to Nigeria?

Does it mean Southeast Governors/Politicians aren't aware that FULANI have stood in defense of not just their people terrorising Nigeria but those that looted public fund?

Isn't it ironical that, despite the fact that international communities have openly identified FULANI herdsmen as the 4th deadliest terrorist organization in the world that, Northern governors are yet to proscribe them?

Does it mean that Southeast Governors/Politicians and Ohaneze ndigbo aren't aware of the fact that, boko haram members are pardoned in the North and reintegrated into the society?

What offense is greater than terrorism?

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was extraordinarily renditioned and illegally kept in the DSS detention. If that isn't enough to trigger a reaction from the Southeast Governors condemning the manner of his abduction, and de-proscribing IPOB, I wonder why they believe anybody would listen to their useless advise not to sit at home until Kanu is released.

Honestly, at first, I had mixed feelings about the sit-at-home order until the political leaders of the East started criticising it making me realize it was a good and effective decision. If they don't want it to hold, they should simply de-proscribe IPOB and appeal to the FULANI led federal government to immediately release Kanu unconditionally, and stop persecuting ndigbo.

As for me; I wholeheartedly support this Monday sit-at-home order until Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released unconditionally, and I will be more than happy to oblige. That man is the hope of Igbos of good conscience. #FreeMaziNnamdiKanuNow
