I see China, Japan, Hong Kong and south Korea are far more developed in terms of infrastructure

Ehn ehn, that's is why China with their population of 1.5 billion is struggling gold medal with US at the Olympics.

Seriously? With all the insecurities, kidnappings, police harassments, irredeemable corruptions, incessant killings, dieing health care we all experience in this country?

Please, tell me another thing. We are not safe in this country. Any day you wake up and see a new day, thank God.

lots of mumbo-jumbo. First, I envy no one. Second, what you FAILED to comprehend is that you can't rubbish the glaring realities of the vast majority cos you are in the privileged few. I suspect you may be a politician, they are the ones who are low in comprehension and only see life thru the prism of their posh lives. To the Nigerian politician, Nigeria is Eldorado and hunger no dey. I pray you get the point now. Bye.

your comment reeks of hatred and envy... there are people suffering in every country in the world.. Your comments show how toxic you are so someone who may want to promote you or empower you will overlook and sideline you due to your toxic behaviour..

Bronx, NY. This place is a ghetto menh. It reminds me of Oshodin.
As you can see there are piles of dirt on the road
Op how dare you compare this place with oshodi?
I was there this afternoon it was an eyesore, traffic, bus drivers misbehaving, molue from iyana ipaja and abule egba scratching people's cars and multitude of people crossing the road, bad spot with big flood decending from oshodi oke to isale plus latsma and police littered everywhere waiting for you to enter their traps.
Again, bad and dirty touts everywhere.
Or is it the dirts we want to talk about? No just go there.

any Nigerian doing fine in Nigeria or anywhere in the world will know not to make denigrating comments about the country because foreigners read online forums and you're indirectly chasing away investors and infrastructural developments away from the country...

you are not doing fine mentally and emotionally....

That means you don't understand the connection between US and England. Most American city were formed by British migrant who names it after their native home. All the names in England are also in America, Liverpool, Plymouth, Yorkshire,

I got to the station at exactly 6:10am, Checked in and got a parking permit for my car.
The bus driver is a very rude Jamaican man with poor customer service, I’m going to report him to the company after the trip, that’s if we don’t fight before we get to NY

Greyhound seem to be the best transport company over there.. nice threads thou

Okay thanks brother, enjoy your stay!

see people attacking themselves based on their different realities.. that you are not enjoying Nigeria doesn't mean others don't too

my boss is a UK citizen same as his children and wife but came back to Nigeria after spending close to 25 yrs in UK but he always tells me Naija sweet o "if you get money" and I would look at him and curse him within myself anytime he makes that statement till he started sharing some experiences on how living in the abroad is not usually what we think it is.. but in the end everybody's reality is different

From the way both of you sound you are the toxic and envy one here..

The guy you quoted might not even be poor but that doesn't stop him from seeing life through the eye of poor people.

You on the other hand because you comfortably live a mini abroad life here in Nigeria think people who are not as privilege as you are because of selfish and greedy government shouldn't complain about how dilapidated a country Nigeria is..

I bet you'd speak ill and even worse about Nigeria if you switched places with who are not as privileged as you are.

Nigeria is where it is today because people like you like to deceive themselves that they can "see life through the eyes of poor people"... the day Nigerians stop "seeing life through the eye of poor people" is the day Nigeria will experience rapid development...

there is no such thing as a poor person... who do you classify as poor?

someone can have a well paid job and still be poor especially if that person lives above their means...

I am not privileged, I don't live above my means and I don't live life to impress people..

only people who live above their means and to impress people are the ones who want luxury apartment, luxury car and well paid job to boast and brag to people or want people to assume they are doing well..

some parts of Nigeria will always be dilapidated because one side of Nigeria was amalgamated with the wealthy side of Nigeria in 1914 and over 55% of that wealthy side revenue goes to the one side who were always meant to be an average country... this is the major problem people of the wealthy side of Nigeria face and most of them can't see it and admit it...

55% Revenue that should go to the upliftment and infrastructural development of the wealthy side is given with the one side, the british saw how wealthy and powerful the wealthy side will become and they put things in place to prevent the wealthy side from becoming extremely successful...

Hi guys, for my birthday this year, I will be visiting New York City via Road.
Kindly sit back and relax

If you can, try to visit SoHo (downtown Manhattan); Broadway Ave (particularly Union Square); Upper West side; Moynihan Station train hall; Grand Central Station; Penn Station and DUMBO. Also visit World Trade Center and Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway. You may as well take the free Staten Island ferry from Whitehall Station (R or W train). You mentioned you're seeing the Statue of Liberty anyways.

There's so much to do and see in NYC. The list is just inexhaustive!
