Hello guys, Please i need some help and advice on this situation. My sponsor is using his business account for me cos that’s where he has enough money. Issue is the last time he received funds in the account was March 2021. So there hasn’t been much inflow because he experienced some sort of decline in his business but there’s enough money in the account still. Now he told he is expecting a lump sum of about 80million on Monday, whereas my f1 visa interview is scheduled for next week Thursday. My question is do i get a statement of account from him before he receives the lump sum or should i get the statement after he receives the money??. Note: the account has enough funds as at now before the lump sum is gonna enter, issue is just that there’s hasn’t been inflow since March 2021. Pls guyss respond, I’m confused

Definitely get it before the lump sum, so it doesn't look like you're packing funds to make your bank statement look better.

it’s not necessary that a US resident pay on your behalf.. if you have a $ master card just fund it and make the payment.. I can help you with that .. I do have a $ GTBank master I use to make payments

Good day everyone. Please I need your help. While seeking an emergency request, I mistakenly uploaded the payment receipt of my Sevis fee (western union). Not the confirmation page. I can't get to request another emergency cos the option is not there anymore. Please what can I do? Should I reschedule all over again and ask for an emergency request? Or the receipt is also valid?

use the feed back option, then (merge all your documents into one)let the sevis be the first page, explain yourself and then upload and pray.


Dont be scared, when I uploaded my emergency documents, my sevis and i20 didn’t upload, only appointment confirmation uploaded. I used the feedback option and send everything by merging them together cos you can only upload one file.

Many people are always viewing, people will come too and say “i have been following but never spoken, my visa got approved” , some people also only talk when they get a visa denial...its not always fair to learn without teaching others. Thats what made this thread get to PART 16, people always shared their knowledge. These days all you see is people discussing how they are buying flight tickets or mentioning ER or Visa approved and on other days its just people fighting through 10pages. Please lets chat, lets relate, teach people. Thats what will keep this page alive

Some schools don't require application fees. Most schools offer application waivers if you know how to circumvent it.

Please can you name some schools that waive application fee and how can you go about it... am I to mail the school. If yes, can you please tell me alittle about how the body of the mail should look like

I don’t think so. You can only view the information by using your application number to choose the “create a new application” button. And if you decide to want to edit and totally change some information on the Ds-160 form. You would have to print both the new confirmation page with the old confirmation page for your interview appointment. I hope that makes sense

You can only use $ mastercard/visa of any bank to make payment.. you cannot use normal naira debit card to make payment for foreign transaction

Have you submitted the Ds-160? If Yes, no issues.
Go to the Ds page and fill all the fields then click on "create new application".
Some of your previous datas would come up.
Fill columns that are void with the accurate information you want to input.
Review, and Submit.
Click on "Print confirmation" Download the final copy.
Note the new Ds confirmation number. Go back to your cgi page, update your profile with the new Ds code.
Print out all updated docs and go for your interview.
All the above to be done 72hrs PRIOR your appointment date.

You can't use the same receipt I think you need to go to Gtbank and make complain if they can help you rectify it and change it BUT if not ... you will have to buy another visa fee for F1category

I applied for an EA since 2weeks ago to Abuja and finally got approved. But the next available date for any interview was end of August and my school classes start on that date. Now I have to defer. Heartbroken but God knows best.
