Hmm, that year for unn, they set exam for all lecturers for the school, they come paste the result for school notice board, over 100 the highest na 30, o boy see mass failure, we wan laugh die. Even with their code numbers I still know who fail.

Telling them to write any test is very demeaning. They are from different departments and am sure that most of their tests questions would be based on English which is different from what some of them studied. However, you are indirectly telling the public that your lecturers aren't capable. They just want to spoil the name of the school.

There is no test a first class graduate can't pass, if truly you are a first class student.

I see no need to do so! Testing them on quantitative reasoning is not even reasonable. If you must test at all, it should be on the course of study.

A very poor judgment by the school management.
If first class students take tests to validate or invalidate thier grades, then other non first class should be made to do the same.

Whoever passes through your school system without being caught in any form of malpractice, that should be his judgement. If you think they're not worthy of it, then its time you make thier learning environment much more difficult.
Because they will say the school simply ENVY thier achievement.

What of those with CGPA under 1.5? They need to prove that their grades too. Some might have been unfairly targeted by unscrupulous letcurers.

And what if many of them fails or scores below the expected, will the institution deny the student his certificate with acquired grade?

Maybe the school should be able to do such for the institution's lecturers and see if truly many of them are supposed to be lecturing!!!!

It's really shameful on the school authority. Obviously, they do not trust their own system that produced the graduates.

The problem with this approach is that it open the door for someone somewhere (haterz) to cheaply discredit genuine first class.

Sentiment won't kill blacks. They lack the ability to reason out issues when emotional sentiments exists.

Having a first class doesn't mean you must pass every text. Some first class students need to to study very hard before they can get their grades. A few others are good all round. To me, the test is absolutely unnecessary.

Policies that can’t be sustained and how does this test decide their graduating CGPA? Will it be like a course of its own or will the students GP which he earned over several courses cause them to reduce his grades of the courses to drop him to 2.1? Quantitative reasoning and testing at best should be introduced as a 0.5 unit course which everyone must pass. Let’s hope there is a policy document and NUC approved it

Also do the same for ur pass and 3rd class students.
May be they didn't deserve it.
It would be nice if Government should be the one to set the exams...
If u prove it then automatic employment and scholarship for you.
