I know how difficult it can be for guys to handle boredom when single.. i don't know how ladies handle theirs and stay sane considering how restricted they are in the society.
@OP you can make friends in your vicinity that you'll visit on weekends and hang out with from time to time.

Well, for me am on my way home right now. As usual I hang out with my peeps at a popular joint around my hood. But when my girlfriend is around , we either Bleep till we sleep or hang out.

1. Enjoy work and take some home
2. Get interested in professional developments/certifications....very time consuming
3. Fall in love with quora....you would read a lot of actually interesting real stories from real people who are mostly sensible
4. Love your sleep....lawddddd
5. Definitely have a boy that is allowed to call you from time to time....makes a lot more sense if he is several thousand miles away from you.
6. Find a dance school close to home....been trying to sort this cos a friend is having a blast learning salsa.

Think Money, try hard focus on making money, I mean more money. Invest. if your investment start giving you more money, flex, flirt, enjoy life and get married.

I've been there..In fact, I'm still there as I type..But everyday that goes by,I find myself adapting to the fact that being single gives all the freedom that a struggling man needs to stay focus....
Tho some people may find their own freedom by engaging themselves in any sort of relationship...But trust me,it's very rare..

I come home around 7pm everyday. Before I go finish resting, taking my bath and eating, e go don be like 9pm then I will watch movies or read or browse and then crash.


My problem is that I have become too comfortable with my loneliness and that will be a problem some day.

Your story is just a summary of what am going through now. Most times i just have travel home weekends...
Not really comfortable with having a roommate but sometimes i get bored. Thanks to dstv, Netflix and my phone(my normal routines daily after work).

It's a phase though and am not really trying to force anyone into my life... i believe the right companion would come when it's time....

How I cope with mine
I actually prefer being far away sha
I work,work,read anything and everything, download movies,watch YouTube video's on anything and many things,then treats ah ah,I give myself treats,take myself out,at times go out with a sibling,I prefer not to meet my friend's.
I pray,I read my Bible,I fill God in on my life
Then I regularly speak to someone pretty lovely I see as a Mentor.
Do I still get lonely at times?
Yes but it's pretty pretty rare and triggered by something's I know
Another thing is trying out new recipe's, trying out new foods
Look out for new Joints you'd like to try out,then I'm big on listening to music.
Download good Books,it helps give you happy tips.
And don't close yourself to letting people in, initiate chat's,I do that,if I feel like chatting, I can chat with anybody,so far it makes me happy.If they like they should feel fly, I'm indirectly using them to cure boredom,so do the same.

You already know that the solution to loneliness is to socialize.
Yea, true though that one could feel lonely in the midst of friends. However, it's worse when there's no one around who speaks the language your heart yearns.

Make right friends and speak with people. Loneliness isn't good. A good way of solving it is getting the right kind of friends. There are people everywhere, on this platform, at your work place, just look around. The world is teeming with people.

Sometimes, I get this loneliness issue. But that's only when I shut people out and try to use objects to replace them. Maybe things like movies, games, etc.

Get some real friends. This is Africa. We are a people who live communal lives. Different from the solitary lives lived in many European nations.

So dearie, get some friends around you. Objects can't fill that space.

It's hard and even worse if you get ill. But thank God for DSTV - Investigation Discovery, Comedy Central, Food Channel, National Geographic, CBS Crime, CNN and all the Mnet Movies channels and Mary Jane. Premier league is back from next weekend.

People, especially nowadays likes to convince themselves that relationships are all about money and sex, this mentality has in turn almost completely ruined the whole experience.

I love to think relationships are for times like this, having someone you can really call a friend, someone who wouldn't mind your disturbances, and who's willing to spend long hours talking with you, both physically, text chat, audio and video calls. Someone who's going to help make your free time eventful and satisfying. I truly hate what wokeness and society is trying to make this sort of bond and friendship become.

Both responsible single and married people get bored sometimes ,you just need to dedicate more time to your hobbies and communicate more with loved ones and finally invest in a side business (either money to work for you or requires little of your time ) that will need you to keep doing some calculations at night.

Buy a video game if you can afford one, and play online with real gamers, you won’t be bored.

It's temporary relief.. boredom will still creep in. Moreover you need another party to play the game with you, scream in excitement and all, except those GOW and FPS games

Even feminists with all the stubborn-head still get tired of love gadgets and start craving the real thing.

Get a TV, watch YouTube, watch comedies, read books, train online and practice new skills. I am 32 and that is all I do when inside. I have learned how to be alone for years now

Pick up a very tough online project to research on. You can research on programming with python. What about studying about manufacturing process of electric cars.

Some field of research totally out ofine with your core competences, you will be drawn to it and get so invested in that you won't even have time to call your family.

The wonderful thing is you'd become more intelligent on a divergent field.

I am mostly alone and hardly take calls except business and would even prefer wife and child being on holidays so I can have much free time after work to read and research while on boxers with a vaporizer on the desk.

It's the best life. Make use of that. Who need Human friends these days

As someone who's been out of a relationship and don't want to have any lady around cos most of them are either toxic or after what you have and have been living a secluded lifestyle for sometime now.

Video Games. I have lots of them.
Check the net for a musical instrument you feel will be easy for you to learn. Buy one and start practicing a few hours after work. You'd be surprised how far you'd go in 6 months of consistent practice.
Reddit. There are lots of interesting topics you can engage in.

But at the end, it comes down to the mindset. You'll always feel lonely if you let your mind
