I come home around 7pm everyday. Before I go finish resting, taking my bath and eating, e go don be like 9pm then I will watch movies or read or browse and then crash.


My problem is that I have become too comfortable with my loneliness and that will be a problem some day.

For me, I spend time working online and making money. You can never get bored doing that.
You can also use that time to develop yourself and learn a new skill.
Trust me, a time will come when you will be so occupied that you wished you had used this time very well.

I think I have become used to being alone as long as my phone is charged and I have data.. off I go to Twitter and it's never boring on Twitter, it's always gists,fights and dragging on that street then whatsapp and finally Nairaland to keep track of some stuff

Being lonely is different from being single.

You just have to put yourself out there the more. Speak to a new face every day. Call or a different number daily. Release yourself and be happy always.

My work schedule does not even create time for me to feel lonely. I like being alone that I wonder how I will function with a partner. I don't feel lonely oo, I have my sleep, studies and church activities etc to keep me busy. Its people that are asking haba i no go come outside ni

My advice is to change your accommodation to a more youth/young friendly environment, join a group online or better still keep your mind/self occupied with reading, watching movies. You can even join a gym at least that should keep you exhausted from feeling lonely.

1. Enjoy work and take some home
2. Get interested in professional developments/certifications....very time consuming
3. Fall in love with quora....you would read a lot of actually interesting real stories from real people who are mostly sensible

Not really comfortable with having a roommate but sometimes i get bored. Thanks to dstv, Netflix and my phone(my normal routines daily after work).

It's a phase though and am not really trying to force anyone into my life... i believe the right companion would come when it's time....

I enjoyed reading so many experiences mehnn. This single life no be small thing iooo.

For me, I enjoy my privacy for the time being. I know it will end soon. Not like I have a serious relationship but I just feel it will end soon. So, I ain't rushing to cage myself.

Being alone is difficult. I manage it by working round the clock. Learn new skills. Arrange the latest movies I have to watch on Sundays. Sundays are for getting high, watching movies, writing poems, and just loving life. No stress.

When the time comes, we sef go marry. Until then, I love this my freedom oooo. Babes wey dey do hookup fit stay like three days max. After that, they geddifok outta my house. No attachments!!!

How to get over boredom as a single?

1. I gossip up and down about people physically stronger than me. For instance, I'd go to AEDC and report some guys that bypassed the lines and would tell the aedc staff that they should tell whoever they confront that I am he that report them. Some of those usually come looking for me and it usually make my day.

2. I usually go police station and claim that I would like to bail a fictitious name. If the police officers claim ignorance of such name, I'd insult them and we'd quarrel and quarrel and quarrel. It feels good.

3. Sometimes, when I'm home, I read religious books especially Church of Messianity, Eckankar, and the Grail Message. There's never enough time on these ones

You don't want to impose on the next person, the next person is seeing you as a private person and doesn't want to impose on you. The circle goes endless like that.

My sister, talk to somebody. There is no way on earth everybody on your contact list is busy everyday. You can talk to Chukwuma today and chat with Folake tomorrow and text Ibrahim the next day.

Also ask yourself if you are welcoming. And then, a lot of people don't start conversations or chats because they don't know how to keep up a good conversation. If that is your case, you just have to learn how to improve yourself. Start with small small 2-5mins conversations. Learn not to just say "Good morning, how are you", learn to also add "That's a nice perfume your are wearing", your hair looks great, what product is that? Hey your skill is glowing lately, did you change skin product? Before you know it, you are having a good conversation that you wouldn't want to end and you have a good time and company.

If you are lonely, try starting conversations with people, don't wait for them to come to you. They might be having the best conversation of their life at that moment you are waiting for them, really.

Very well. The street is full of betrayal and backbiting. However, there are good people too. Just don't trust people anyhow. And don't be too emotional. Some people can give someone heart attack. And I advise you to read books that will help your career and prepare you for marriage.
