Usually there isn’t anyone chatting with me because everyone is busy with their lives. I go to Youtube which I have become tired of watching. And at some time I’m just bored to my mind. I don’t like to impose myself on anybody and so I only chat with people who come to chat with me including neighbours.

Sometimes I just want someone around that I can talk to but I’m alone by myself. Single people, how do you cope with boredom. I mean single people who are really single not the ones cohabiting or visiting their partners. Some tips will be very helpful right now.

my advice for you is that you should not keep late night because of being lonely, evil lurks around at night and early in the morning, so go home in time. Then you can find a good church like New Life Church and join their workforce. Church allows you to meet people of like mind, then make Jesus your friend and part of what he will give you is a good husband.

Women find it so difficult living alone.They always need someone to lean on for at least defence and protection And then when it comes to sex,they are more vulnerable.
Any guy dt has a functional genital can toast a woman dt lives alone and even threaten her.Unlije a guy,if u decide to be,no body will be toasting u up and down as in d case of women.And dis is a real fact.

I really would love to talk to you. I'm single but not bored cos 75percent of the time, I enjoy my own company and space instead of having meaningless chats with some people. I am gainfully employed but I would love to go on these researches and programming. Maybe not as a means of survival but just so I know something outside my area of competence. I would really love to learn something new but truth is, I am confused as to what I should learn. Will be glad if you can help really

Pick up a very tough online project to research on. You can research on programming with python. What about studying about manufacturing process of electric cars.

Some field of research totally out ofine with your core competences, you will be drawn to it and get so invested in that you won't even have time to call your family.

The wonderful thing is you'd become more intelligent on a divergent field.

I am mostly alone and hardly take calls except business and would even prefer wife and child being on holidays so I can have much free time after work to read and research while on boxers with a vaporizer on the desk.

It's the best life. Make use of that. Who need Human friends these days

Well, it's always been I and my tiny lonely world.
Sometimes, when my frustrations got an unbearable level of apogee, I will quickly take an overdose of sleeping pills, with an expectation of not wakingup again.
However, I do, and I always feel a teeny little sliver of guilt.
I will keep on trying. cry

Join a sports club e.g: volleyball, handball or even a hike or travel group
Learn a new skill like swimming or salsa dancing

Ur best bet would have been to share an apartment like a flat or duplex with other spinsters if u are a lady or other bachelors if u are a guy. Start an online masters program or certification program, trust me, u won't hav time for these when u get married or kids starts coming. Attend church programmes like midweek services, teach in children or teenagers church, learn a vocational training like gele, sewing, braiding or somethg interesting or fall on love better still angry

I have all these things you asked me to get but i still feels very lonely. I just want to have the feeling of someone sharing the same space with me. I told my sister to come and stay with me and get a job in my city but she said she wants to stay with my parents and work in the same city as my parents.

At some point I thought about changing accommodation and renting a shared space instead of a full space where it is just only me but on a second thought, I said no because I don’t want to have issues with anybody.

Most Saturday I go out with some of my colleagues who are also my friends and on Sunday I go to church bit immediately I get back home, it is different.

Na husband dey hungry u aunty, go and marry.

My dear God has been helping us.
The boredom got worst on me when my phone got stolen.
I virtually became a complete definition of boredom myself.

I only overcame it by strolling around my street.
I stopped by, whenever something caught my attention.
Fights, exchange of words, quarrels, football matches and the likes.
Thank God I overcame

phone is one's best companion oh, if it's taken away you'll feel the same loss that is tantamount to losing a love one

As someone who's been out of a relationship and don't want to have any lady around cos most of them are either toxic or after what you have and have been living a secluded lifestyle for sometime now.

Video Games. I have lots of them.
Check the net for a musical instrument you feel will be easy for you to learn. Buy one and start practicing a few hours after work. You'd be surprised how far you'd go in 6 months of consistent practice.
Reddit. There are lots of interesting topics you can engage in.

But at the end, it comes down to the mindset. You'll always feel lonely if you let your mind

I didn't want to comment on this thread but it's better to be alone and be happy than be with someone (people) and be unhappy.

Cats are Gody creatures that believe the ~~home~~ house belongs to them and are always expecting the human owner to leave so they can rearrange the house to there taste.....Of course after the owner must have prepare enough food for them

Lady, the best way out is to socialise. Engage in religious activities, join Good groups and read books.

And if you don't mind, I can be your best friend. Lol

If you were a guy,I would ve dropped some of the ways I managed my bachelorhood before I got married.
During my days, reading books, watching football,and learning some skills took my spare time, thereby making it difficult for any boredom.

At 41, i am single but not lonely. My older sisters have taken advantage of the situation and have dump their worrisome children with me. Since my house is littered with kids, and teenagers, i dont feel alone. Not forgetting numerous girlfriends doing turns. cool
