Look being single with some change is really different.

I've read a lot of comments here on getting certification and all that my brother that one too go tire person. That inner longing for a companion is still there read whatever, you'll still come to that point.

Try register in a gym, learn an instrument or a new language. There are lots to do that will keep you engaged and forget the boredom.

Usually there isn’t anyone chatting with me because everyone is busy with their lives. I go to Youtube which I have become tired of watching. And at some time I’m just bored to my mind. I don’t like to impose myself on anybody and so I only chat with people who come to chat with me including neighbours.

Sometimes I just want someone around that I can talk to but I’m alone by myself. Single people, how do you cope with boredom. I mean single people who are really single not the ones cohabiting or visiting their partners. Some tips will be very helpful right now.

Read books. Keep a journal. Write into the future. Study mathematics. Read the works of Adams Smith. Take yourself swimming once you close early from work. Be hopeful that you will find a compatible partner and lo, one day it shall happen. But by then, you have learned to cope with aloneness through intellectual activities, such that when your partner is not available, you will be unperturbed.

I have never known a time so phenomenal and incidental to the development of ones character and futuristic insights than our single days...

1. Enjoy work and take some home
2. Get interested in professional developments/certifications....very time consuming
3. Fall in love with quora....you would read a lot of actually interesting real stories from real people who are mostly sensible
4. Love your sleep....lawddddd
5. Definitely have a boy that is allowed to call you from time to time....makes a lot more sense if he is several thousand miles away from you.
6. Find a dance school close to home....been trying to sort this cos a friend is having a blast learning salsa.

But u can get it on ur phone, from playstore or appstore.

I come home around 7pm everyday. Before I go finish resting, taking my bath and eating, e go don be like 9pm then I will watch movies or read or browse and then crash.

My problem is that I have become too comfortable with my loneliness and that will be a problem some day.

Do u have someone that checks up on u? My friend died last mth and he was just like u, comfortable..chat me up if u are ever bored..will make u laff

Actually I updated this thread at a later date. We tried starting a relationship but we are not compatible. We think very differently and it wasn’t going to work. So, we’ve both moved on.

However, I do, and I always feel a teeny little sliver of guilt.

if your profession has professional qualification then you should start writing now like ICAN .... Use the opportunity to learn new skill e.g. Data analytics, Advance excel, Database... You must use social media as a relaxation spot after you are done with Office and Personal Development..... Sleeps and wakes .... Do your Domestic Chores , Office routines and let your personal development take up the remaining space end it all up with social media .......

This period is the period God is trying to tell you to advance yourself or possibly find a worthy partner and settle down !!

I manage mine by investing heavily in Academics, Professional qualifications, soft skills I mentioned above then social media to cool the brain .... and makes it play so as for her not to fry like akara!

I’m not 26 by the way. I’m 24. I actually have a social life but it ends outside. Anyway people have given lots of tips to keep myself busy at home and I’m grateful for that. The one I liked the most is the musical instrument one and I’m definitely going to try that out.

You don't plan to share your life with someone in the future?
Playing musical instruments is more rewarding when there s an audience.
