Hi everyone,

For someone who has about 26k scholarship from school, then a sister and a friend are sponsoring the remaining $24k ($19 and $5k respectively). When filling DS-160, at the sponsor section, is it possible to reflect the two people (sister and friend)? Because I just filled in sister (other person).
Pls help to clarify, I have read some people share having more than one sponsor aside sch scholarship.

I don't know if denial has anything to do with it. As long as the appointment where you were denied was not an emergency appointment. I know a few people here that were denied initially and reapplied again and requested for emergency and it was granted. Except things have changed now.

haaa, thats like 2 weeks time; apply to abuja, pay for your sevis, apply for emergency, but the emergency date may be in September, which means you may need to request for an extension or defer till January.

But try to run all these processes Tommorrow, i did mine within 2days, sevis confirmation came the same day

Accept my congratulations. Happy for you, Bro.

Do you know if year gaps(period of time without studying or working) can affect US study visa decision? I will appreciate if you can answer my question in any way you deem fit. thanks.

Okay so for me I think you have to prove a strong case to the VO on what you have been doing during these gaps. It depends on the duration as well. I think if is more than 6 months you have to tell the VO something tangible to cover up for it.

Best wishes

My friend's VISA was denied today @ Abuja embassy.

He said the VO asked him 3 questions about funding his studies.
His COA is 32k
He has partial funding/scholarship of about 8k
Personal funds about 11k
Sponsor( uncle) will take care of the 13k deficit.

What could be the reason for his denial

Please how can one go about scholarships. Can I process my admission myself or do I need an agent?

If you have the funds, I will suggest UK schools, you’ll be sure to get admitted and get your visa.

Also, you can go through this thread to find out about US schools and all involved with studying in the US.

If you did not cancel or reschedule your initial appointment, you can cancel your current appointment and switch to Abuja without paying another mrv fee and then request emergency in abuja.
.. Okay like my own case my initial appointment was December at Lagos consulate before I applied for ER twice this month and was denied when I tried to cancel the appointment the earliest date is July 2022..are you saying i should go ahead and cancel it and I wouldn't have to pay for another MRV fee??Then I should fill another ds160 and re-apply to abuja?? then request for another ER because my resumption date is 25th of August!

Me: Medical Rehabilitation
VO: What will this degree do for you?
Me: A master degree in Health Science Education from a recognized institution like WIU will undoubtedly make me develop a deep and broad functional expertise in Health Education, and when I return to Nigeria, I will have accelerated promotion to State Health Educator which will enable me to represent my state on a global scale.
VO: Are you married?
Me: yes, I’m married with a daughter.

Ur sponsor's support and urs should be above the COA, should in case u lose the funding.

Plus ur personal saving and ur sponsors u will see it is below the COA

Yeah, I just called thru the Lagos Embassy. A fresh EA request transferring to Abuja will attract another MRV fee payment. If you feel you can't wait any longer and can afford to pay another MRV fee, please do. But you have no idea if it's a wise decision for you. I also await an EA approval just like you do. I applied to the Lagos Embassy on the 17th July, and my resumption date is 23rd August. I've waited long enough too, but be wise.

Hello guru, please Can I send my transcript directly by myself or through my institution to WES?

Your institution will have to send it directly to WES because after your institution sent it to WES, WES will send it back to the institution to verify if the transcript originated from them or not before they start the evaluation proper.

You visa was refused because you said your sponsor will send $40k to your account when you get to America instead of the university.

Your sponsor can never send such money directly to your account cause of money laundering act.

You would have said your sponsor bank will send it to the school account through Form A or any legal means.

I mean no one from Nigeria can send above $10k from Nigeria without been question.

Not really, you can transfer more than 10k dollars if it is inflow. The problem is it is his uncle that is sponsoring him. It would have been easier to say his step father. Whites generally do not believe in this extended family thing.

Another thing is, he is working, he is expected to sponsor himself.
