What about those with other classes of degrees? Are they less human than those you called or they deserve to be jobless at this time?
They should also create their own thread.

I graduated with a first class in accounting and finance and finished my nysc 3 years ago, since then i have attended interviews but to no avail, but immeidately i finished nysc i started trading forex while looking for jobs, i also involved myself in my friend's entertainment start up 2 years ago as a web administrator on his website, travelled with him regularly for shoots even without pay, i also learnt digital marketing certified from google to improve my SEO skills, i took alot of courses on how to code and build websites which i do today, i equally write books though i do this passively, am still hopeful i can have a tech start up soon which is far from what i dreamt of when i was studying accounting and finance in school, but where i project the world is going to or still get a job and open it later in the future as clients on web development do not come very often. i just love learning, i applied for a few scholarships over the years but still no reply, God will do it for me.

You have a good profile.
Have you done your Professional qualification?

If not (maybe for funds) are you aware that ICAN gives scholarships to first class students?

Also you may want to streamline your pursuits. Too many pursued is none caught. I.e. You'll definitely lack depth in any one area.

Pick an area of focus for your tech interests. Be it Data Analytics, web development, Cyber security, etc.

For scholarships, You may want to be more open.
I.e. not just UK and USA. Good schools abound in much less popular countries. If you don't mind.

Russia has open doors scholarships into nice institutions like HSE University & St Petersburg state university.
Belgium has KU Leuven.
These are English taught programmes too.

Cheers.

Why do they have to? Aren't all in the set of being jobless? This unnecessary segregation is a part of our challenge. Anyways, I hope this thread serves its purpose.

Seek for post graduate scholarship abroad.

Meanwhile, I don't think a first class or almost first class graduate should find it difficult getting a job as they can easily pass aptitude tests and impress interviewers.

Story,

Not as easy as you think.

I go find skill to learn, which I finally settled with programing. Today I am some how grateful I didn't finish with 2.1, e for make me dey dependent on my certificate, and I couldn't have thought of learning the skill I have learnt today.

Sorry to say, but Nigerians are too obsessed with this first class of a thing. You go to university in Nigeria, chew, and regurgitate everything you learned back to them. Graduate with a first class on paper but have no practical knowledge of anything. At the end of the day, you're jobless. You shouldn't be jobless with a first class or 2:1. You need to start looking beyond that paper otherwise you'd be stuck forever.
Guy, don't make a jest of yourself here, if cramming, regurgitating and getting first class is as easy as you make it sound here, many would have gotten it. First class holders are appreciated worldwide, but here, if you know no one, it's all a waste. Our system has failed and nepotism is the order of the day.

You really have no idea what you're writing about. There's nothing like adequate 'practical knowledge' as you've put it in any school of the world. That's why students are exposed to the industries as interns even in the so called saner climes. They also get entry level roles after school because of a good economy and that's why you think they have practical experience from school.

I honestly want to assume you're educated but I honestly doubt that. If anyone is given the benefit to work in a field he has initially studied in school, it makes his theoretical knowledge now applicable.

I'm an engineer who had thought I knew nothing after graduation. It turned out, I'm, in fact, a brilliant chap who only needed a practical exposure. I learnt very fast on my job and I now understand why the theories in school was necessary. I still apply and revisit them day by day.

Don't blame the victims.

Please check out KPMG, PwC, Deloitte. You don't need to know someone there to be hired. Once you pass the exams, have at least 2:1 and is within the age criteria. The pay structure is also great for entry-level
One of my friends is a director at PWC. He has a 2.2. Got in as an associate and rose through the ranks.

We are littered all over the state of the federation. I also came out top of my class. But i don't decieve myself i have no one to run to concerning job. Getting a job on merit isn't feasible anymore in this clime. Particularly, government jobs.

I recently got a transcription job. I'm likely to lose the job due to my inability to get a system.

I'll be rounding off my service soon. Yet no job in sight. Got some cool business ideas, don't have access to loan

Got no connection, nothing nothing

I'm losing my mind seriously

If you are a true first class student and you know your onions, trust me getting job should not be hard. I made first class and i have gotten more than 6 offers in the past 3 years, infact i just got one with almost 500k net but contemplating on accepting because i am enjoying my current place and i have not spent upto 6 months.
If you actually worked for it and you are smart getting job to manage should not be hard. I am not there yet but i know with time i will.
Don't lose hope and keep trying every opportunities (business).

Lol you sound like you just came back to Nigeria from France last week or maybe you're still there. You think people get jobs here because they impressed interviewers?
