These hours are too much! You must make time for your kids and your wife...you might think you are making money to help out with those hours but work hours like this causes more strain on the home as it means the woman will be largely responsible with engaging the kids....

Reduce your hours and find a balance, your wife is just stressed then

lightest:
Well u don't know me and if u must be told I work 66hrs with 6hrs unpaid break in a week and I pay what she ask me to pay as bill and apart from that I spent extra £s every month.

Anyway, thanks for the advise and the polite insult.

It's well appreciated

@justwise, @Lexusgs430 and all other visa gurus

We want my mother in law to visit us in the UK, say in six months time and we want to ensure we get the foundation of the application right from now.

Our main concern is proving she has ties with Nigeria.
She doesn’t work in employment, but runs several small businesses. None of which are registered. She doesn’t have a landed property in her name, that can be used as prove of home tie.

We randomly send money to her, so not a consistent monthly stipend.

We need advice on how to prove her home tie and also plan for the application. We would be the sponsor for the trip.

You have no idea what work stress added to the stress of engaging kids in the UK does to the mind...she might as well feel she could do it alone since he works such long hours...

His wife works full time, that's roughly 40 hrs per week...and our bro works over 60 hours per week...with kids in the mix, the union is under alot of stress

I'm wondering how they manage too. All these long hours, hmm.
Me, I don't want to die young o. Have cut off from overtime. You work and work, no time for yourself or family. Before you know it, u keep relying on medication, coffee to push through.

On your days off, you are too tired to do anything.

Lexusgs430, please come and tell your sister your secret.

No secrets ó, my sister.....

Work flexibility, helps to balance work/life pressures........

At certain times, we put this pressures upon ourselves.... We need to exclude certain unresponsible responsibilities......

Look at the figures of those scammed in Nigeria, via one ponzi scheme or another pseudo investment plan..... It's well over ₦20,000,000,000.......

Yet this same people would heap stories of poverty on people in the diaspora, enslaving them to work much harder than usual.......

If this person in the diaspora kicks the bucket, their life in Nigeria, would continue.........

This same person in the diaspora is paying rent/mortgage in the UK, this same person is building house/houses in Nigeria, this one person supports families in Nigeria etc etc ..... This same person, is still only one person ....... cheesy

Work no dey finish, bills no dey finish...... Having a balance is key!!!!

Please I want to seek your opinion, we have been on Canada express entry and my husband profile expired few weeks ago as IELTS expired, we haven’t gotten Invitation to apply and age is going, now he doesn’t want to rewrite and as we are on road to becoming family of 3 it isn’t going to be easy with POF and all the needs so I suggest we try uk for January intake so we would have landed before giving birth

My husband is skeptical, but willing to start. His fear is that if we pay deposit, visa fee, flight, and some money for accommodation and feeding for the main time, can the both of us pay the tuition balance
Though I read he can work full time during break
Please, he is currently a sales Manager with FMCG here in Nigeria, is there any chances of jobs for the both of us to pay the tuition balance.
I also intend to learn Catering for African dishes so I can do as side hustle by the time I gave birth and might not be working. What can you advice please

Your husband's concerns are genuine........ It completely depends on money, you have to fulfill this plan (cash at hand)........

Working, with a view to using wage pay tuition fees (is like a suicide mission). But, it also depends on your initial deposit paid........

Factor in childcare + other expenses......... We would not want you opening a negatively charged thread in the future........ cheesy

Brothes and sisters.
I am soliciting for advice as an Igbo business minded man, with UK Msc student visa. Before the conclusion of my 4 yrs in UK (2ys study and 2yrs Psw), I intend to be involved in exportation business.
I have some fund I put outside for used phone, laptop, electonics and bicycles. I have my contact in Alaba market Lagos.

Kindly guide me the right part to follow ahead of time or some one I can follow to be mentored.
Thanks you.

MIL provides all she can......

I would say this visa application is 50/50....... Depends on how you tidy your end.......

You would still provide 100% of supporting documentations (bank statements + payslips + accommodation details (mortgage deed/rental agreement) + a precise letter of invitation, indicating you are sponsoring her trip and all expenses on you guys......

Both of you would have to provide supporting documents........

Good morning

Sadly my sch travel didnt work due to one or two reasons. .
Funds went into something else, i got married and now i am making plans to come over.

My Wife passed ielts and hospitals are already calling her for jobs in UK.

My question are.. .

2. As a dependent are there jobs i can do to add up and keep the family going.
3. In ur view what's ur best advise or suggestions on areas i am not considering.
Wish i could have a phone talk

Thank you ooo

My husband na my dependant
He has Been here 2 years. He is not in any of our bills, he only recently asked I transfer electricity bills to his name cos he is trying to build his credit score. I called council may be a year after being here to add him to council tax.

His name on or off our bills has never been an issue, never been raised, never been talked about.

Okay, tuition deposit is not up to half of the tuition
Does it means both of us working over there cannot cover tuition, we have to save it in full before thinking of coming?

Just walking on by.

Nursing is a calling. Nursing is Caring. If you haven't got the calling, no do o because of money.
When eventually, I lay in a sick bed, May God grant me compassionate nurses, Amen

What are people's experiences of using one and is it advisable to steer clear?
