American companies invest in asian stocks. Is it charcoal they are using to buy the shares?
Think independently for once.
American companies are not breaking SEC rules of investment, if they do, they get hefty fines.
Besides, the trade are done in dollars which is not scarce for Americans.

Nigeria has SEC rules banning certain FX transactions without license and within certain limits.
Sentiments or ignorance cannot protect a company that breaks financial rules.

Damn, you mean robinhood, trove, chaka and the rest brokers app buy the shares in their name, receive the dividend and then share the dividend according to how much shares you own on the app.

Btw, i wonder how the shares sold on these apps are more expensive when compared to when you buy it through the normal way.

The guy is correct, robinhood could clean you out.

Their shares are more expensive, they buy the shares in their name not your name and receive the dividend in their name which they then share a little part to you.

The fintech are being investigated for fraud, deception , economic sabotage and using fx to buy cryptocurrencies through buycoin.

Infact, the license they got is different from what they are doing.

U don't use any of those apps, do you?

Cause Robinhood does not operate in Nigeria but America & has no Nigerian customers.

Price of US stocks are the same across all these apps in whatever country, including Nigeria.

The only thing Nigerian apps have is commission fee which is less than 1%. I really don't where different prices come from.

I also trade Nigerian stocks & get charge commission for each stock I buy.

Trove, chaka, bamboo are partners with drive wealth, if they pack, u can get ur money from drive wealth.

Now don't know about crypto but...With soon many trusted crypto exchanges like Binance etc...these guys will go to buycoin.. really bro?

If they are innocent they will be cleared of charges EFCC does have to look at these apps and financial services. They have an annoying way of being down during peak moments and especially when you want to recover your funds.

Very embarrassing meaning you can put it in easy but to remove it na wahala God help anyone who put their all … it’s better to sprinkle so multiple seeds will grow at the same time.

Fintechs your backend is more important than the front end …airlines too you cant fool the whole world.

The app you carry for your head…can disappoint you anytime but the one you doubted can be the best you’ve ever used

..we’ll there are no evidences that this platforms purchase their FX from the banks..rather they depend on bureau we change and all other means of purchasing forex which the CBN do not have any control over..

To extent of using the small fx we have to buy foreign bonds. They are terms and conditions of fintech operations just like any other companies. I will be dissapointed if this companies are guilty. Trust this guys at your own peril. Nigerians are deep rooted in corruption. There's nothing CBN will gain from them by banning them.

Let's get things correct.

The price of US stock arent the same on all the trading app because they offer what is called zero commission trading which is a new concept for retail trading. , robinhood buys various shares in bulk for 1 dollars and then sell to retailers for 1.5, they indirectly make 0.5cents when you buy shares on their app, now Because of this new concept of zero commission, robinhood apps also make money from interest earned on your cash balances, margin and selling your order information to high-frequency traders.

Concerning Trove, chaka and bamboo, they do not have US license to sell shares, what they do is partner with drivewealth using their API to sell US shares to Nigerians, if your money disappears from these apps, drivewealth wont pay any body any cash, it is trove, chaka and bamboo that will be held responsible.

It was frozen pending investigation, they are not on trial. The court pronouncement is a court order, not judgment. You are wrong.

The current system is bent on destroying technopreneurs in Nigeria. From Godaka to Twitter to Risevest to bamboo and many more.

The system wants us to rely on it alone to feed.

Kudos to all survivors surviving this system.

An investigation was done on them before their accounts were frozen.

This is what investigators found.

complicit in operating without license as asset management companies “and utilizing FX sourced from the Nigerian FX market for purchasing foreign bonds/shares in contravention of the CBN circular referenced TED/FEM/FPC/GEN/01/012, dated July 01, 2015.” and using fx to buy cryptocurrencies through buycoins

Did you read this part?

... The apex bank said it is investigating ‘illegal foreign exchange transactions’ by the fintech companies.

It also sought the court injunction to freeze their bank accounts for 180 days pending the completion of investigations...

Empty barrels trumpet themselves. If u had a social class or clout, you would not be shouting from rooftops. Is there any exchange in this world you can access without a broker? Do you buy shares directly from the exchange? If you have issues with dividend is it not your broker that is the first point of call? Try and read more and broden your horizon
