I will answer the 2nd question. You need to attach all you can to prove he marriage is genuine. You dnt need all your chats from say 10 years ago. A few pictures, call logs, chat records etc are some things you can add

I so much appreciate this. Thanks Giselle
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 10:58am On Aug 18, 2021
Your budget ideally should not be more than twice your DISPOSABLE income.
Itinerary means daily plan of what you will be doing during your visit.
Eg day 1. August 16 2021. Arrival, rest and commence quarantine
Like that till you have written a plan for each day.
Final day of the trip will read eg. August 31 Departure
On the form you will be asked about your trip.

Your uncle has to write detailed explanation to tell them he is providing all these things and it is safer also for him to attach a bank statement minimum 2-3 months. He has to state how he is very happy to. You said transportation, feeding, accommodation, sightseeing etccc He should state all these in the invitation letter and send his documents including bank statement. Pls provide proof of this man being your uncle too

bukimireal:

Please explain more about my budget twice than my income. Is it monthly or annually.
I am going for Holiday. On my annual leave.
Help me on how to state and write itinerary on my form. And which section on my form. Thank you sir

Greetings everyone, am confused here, am a graduate. in between masters or undergraduate course which one should I apply in uk. Uni. Which uni does not require IELTS

What kind of work can I do while studying

Go for your Masters, it's acceptable with your Nigeria graduate certificate as long as the certificate is from a well established and recognized school in Nigeria.
Here In the UK as an international student, you're allowed to work up to 20 hours at maximum per week during term-time and full-time during holiday breaks. So choose a work that falls within these time-frame. I hope this helps

Hello Everyone.

Before I proceed, I'd like to thank the MODs and every nairalander out here in this thread offering their wisdom and knowledge to propel others. It's my fervent wish that your coast never runs dry.

Please my situation is this; I want to apply for a visit visa to go and take the PLAB 2 test in the UK. So, I actually only had enough money to book for the test, so my acct is relatively empty. My trip and logistics will be funded by my parents and sister (though marrried) but living and working in the UK. So the only positive as per home tie I have is a landed property that was bought by my parents in my name.

So what are my chances like ? Is it so low that I should cancel the PLAB test booking and focus on getting a job and improving my account ?

Is it possible to be granted a visa with an empty bank acct or prolly just funds sent by my family for my flight bookings and other miscellaneous expenses?

What documents do I and my sister need to provide to support my application?

Any General advise on how best to approach my situation and maximise my chances of visa approval ?

SOS! I need help guys.. serious Help!
I submitted and did my biometrics on the 30th of July. I paid for priority service and expected that my passport will get back to me on the 6th of August since I have a trip to another country on the 22nd of August.

Till now I haven’t seen my passport. I have called UK, I have sent a mail all to no avail.

Please I need help. I need the contact of anyone in TLS that I can contact. If they can borrow me my passport first with that “keep my passport” option and I will return it later.

Please can anyone help me ?

Thank you

So I got the visa. Just picked up my passport today.
Thank you very much.

Biometrics: 28/07/21
Transferred to DMC: 28/07/21
Collection Email: 16/08/21

PS. I submitted my account statement + 6 months pay slip.
I didn't submit a "proof" of the relationship.

Nchabuomo:

Go ahead and apply. Highlight that you start school in Sept in the U.S and attach proof to that effect. Attach proof to establish your relationship with your partner. You can leave out your bank account statement if you want. Your boyfriend should do a letter explaining that he will cover your whole cost, he is a doctor so definitely earns well enough to do this without raising too many questions on the side of the ECO. Attach your US visa, flight ticket and any other visas you might have had in the past. etc

State you are going for plab 2.
You might just be given visa for the period of the exam or if lucky the usual 6 months. Check bivoprad’s previous posts about her list od docs submitted and my answer to her regarding docs to submit as you have no money now.
It is best to choose one person on this application to sponsor and not co sponsors. If after you get the visa, you can decide to get funds from 100 ppl it wont matter at tht point.
Keep it to one sponsor to simplify events.
Also it is best the sponsor can transfer the whole money you will indicate for the trip into your acct and then you apply.

When you called and emailed were you told decision has been made or not yet? That’s where the bane lies.

Since you are a graduate you might as well do a postgraduate course in your chosen field.
You can take up voluntary work such as a shop assistant in charity shops such as oxfam, Barbados and British heart foundation you would not be paid however it is very good for your cv and counts toward Uk work experience.
You can also take up paid work but both for no more than 20 hours a week so as not to breach your visa conditions coffee shops, cinema, door to door fundraising for different causes, university Library and restaurants favour students as hours are flexible.
Don’t bank on this to sustain you as it is minimum wage so very little money that would only cover your basic needs.
Go online and read requirements as every university is different but most would insist on IELTS ,Gcse or functional skills. https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/knowledge-of-english
Also you can search nairaland there is a student board where you can get more information.
Best of luck.
Also i live abroad so might talk different so when i say Gcse that includes any post 11,year 9 or SS3 qualification such as O Level,A Level,WAEC and such they have an equivalency system.Universities like. Newcastle where i went for my course would insist you do a small test but you cannot really blame them as Nigerian documentations are doctored sometimes.

When I called last week, they said “awaiting decision” snd that my request has been forwarded to the relevant department.

When I emailed end of last week, I got a mail this week, they just said they have sent my query has been escalated to the relevant department on the 17/08/2021.

That’s all.

Good evening my people, I have a quick question...
My spouse and I are applying for work visa and we are required to book for biometrics with Tls..on getting to the website, spouse was able to get a near date while the kids and I got a farther date. Is it possible for us all to go on my Spouse’s date for the biometrics or how can we do it such that we'll all take the biometrics at once as we'll all have to travel down to lagos for it. Pls, is there a way we can capture on the same day?
Also, the 3 months time frame for applying for visa, is it the time between submitting an application and tentative date for travelling or the 3 months start counting from when you go for biometrics? Pls I need to know cos I've submitted the application and I'm planning on travelling jan 2022..

From your finances you are eligible to apply together as a family and not sure why you have the mindset they would think you are running away.(you are not running away are you?. )

Being your first trip to the uk apply for Tourist visa 6 months for everyone and remember every application is treated on its own merit, you would not be seen as a group so have four sets of documents.

The document i would ask you to add to your list is;
-Their birth certificate as it shows names of both parents and letter of reference from their school instead of just fees receipt.
-A detailed Itinerary of how you would spend your time covering the 15days ie tourist sites you would visit and such.
Yes,it is more convenient if you rent an apartment as the rules are more flexible and you can do your own cooking and not restrict the children running about. However the cheapest family Apartments you would find is £60-£80 for a decent two bed like the 02 Arena apartments in Greenwich near me so for 15days that would be £900 using £1-570 (Oando.com says 565 but you don’t know the value on the day you will apply)thats 513k in south east areas so adjust your budget accordingly.(The embassy does not need to see a breakdown just the lump sum).
Being that you are both directors do a board resolution on head paper that you have access to the funds to the tune of so so amount because remember it is company money not personal money and get a reference letter from the bank identifying you both as signatory also attach your personal bank accounts as back up.
You can explain the 900k in additional information as that’s a large amount.
Good luck.
