Just look fo IELTS Liz on YouTube. That was all i used. I did the exam last week. Passed with 8.0. Just treat the exam as any other english exam. I did the CBT exam.. PS. I studied for a total of about 6 hrs. Did not have time due to work ..

Finally, IQAS evaluation is out... Bachelor of Law evaluated as First Professional University degree attracts same points as a Masters degree!!!

Timeline below!!
I submitted my application on 14 May 2021
Applied for transcripts on 15th May 2021
Transcripts sent by university on 25th May 2021 via courier delivery (DHL)
Transcripts delivered by DHL on the 1st June 2021
Application Received and Status changed to "pending for transcripts" on 15th june 2021
Status changed to " inline for processing" on 26th july 2021
Status changed to " final review" on 27th july 2021
Status remained " final review" but status date was updated on 10th august 2021.
Since I noticed the status date had changed, I suspected it must have been concluded even though it's not fluctuating yet..so I did the fluctuations stuff and behold, I got the certificate.

So I got the visa on June 7, 2021 and I applied for Canada visa also but it don't come out till I left got to the US. It came out approved the night I landed in the US. Now I already identify a PR route I can apply for in the US considering my publication profile and all.

What I want to ask is, does Canada give PR to PhD students before graduating? My school is in Ontario if I decides to leave the US now?

Pls I'm in my late 20's and my wife is attracting mid 20 this year

Yes Canada gives PR to PHD students only if you qualify. You still have to apply for express entry like everybody else. If it gets approved, you wouldn’t need your study permit anymore.

Go to page 1 of this thread and read the process on how to go about it...it you're less than 30 with a masters degree and you get high scores in your IELTS, you should have nothing less than 470 score should be good enough. Also go on YouTube to watch videos on how to start the canada PR process. There are thousands of videos online.

one report is cost effective. You can have 2 different reports if you have money to waste or like stress

I will respond based on practical experience. I came to Canada as a student - for master. I was already in the pool for express entry even before landing Canada but my score was still very low. After crossing the hurdle of ielts in Canada, I got ITA and PR before I graduated and switch to PR while I was still a student.

So it depends on many factors- You can start ur PR processing even as student in Canada if FSW draws resume as we are all hoping. You will qualify based on that using ur previous degree and experience while you are still progressing on your PHD

Also your wife can work on spousal work permit in Canada ( not sure US gives that opportunity).

Check Ontario provincial nomination system, is there an opportunity to apply via PNP ( now using your wife Canadian experience and she will be the principal applicant). If that is possible ( not sure but I know Manitoba province has such opportunity after six months of working) then you can apply via PNP and then get PR finally.

Based on the above, Canada looks attractive.

In all, let God direct you and weigh all the pros and cons.

Weren't you informed of verification? WES sent mine for verification. The whole process took almost 2months to conclude from start to finish.
