That's why I laugh when people say buy Civic toks 1.5m. If you see any Civic at 1.5m, it's either a dead car thag the dealer just wants to push it to an unfortunate soul or custom duty was not paid.

Clearing is 500-550k, trucking, shipping and auction charges is about $1700. That's 1.4m already. These are standard costs that are non negotiable. Add the cost of buying the vehicle, repairs and the dealers profit. How can anyone now expect to buy a tokunbo Civic at 1.5m?

As for the repairs, it's difficult to say till the vehicle comes. We just budgeted 50k for repairs based on what we are seeing at the moment.
please can I dm for some information?

Third Mainland Bridge. Inward Island

Pitfalls during rush hour 6.30am-11.30am.

Offence. Shunting of lanes.

1. Adeniji Adele exit.
TMB typically has 4 lanes. As you approach Adeniji Adele, avoid the last lane rightward. Cars most times won't allow you to get back into the 2nd and 3rd lane. Before you know it, you are already at the Adeniji Adele exit intersection, grin the lastma guys lurk around harmlessly, once you get there, they pounce on you.

Action plan: maintain 2nd and 3rd lane. Once you pass adekunle.

2. a. Carter Bridge,
b. Osborne/ikoyi,
c. Tafawa Balewa square exit.

You will always spot a lastma guy with their rod of perdition carefully hidden in plain sight at Carter and Osborne. If there's mad traffic, At TBS exit on TMB, they park their van at the intersection and wait for whoever is going to shunt the line from the 2nd lane.

Action plan:
During rush hours, the 3rd and 4th lane are your safest points.preferably the 4th lane. Don't be ABSENT Minded especially during morning rush hours when entering these points.

Let's keep the flame burning.

This is good for those who genuinely innocently fall.
But you see those who deliberately drive without thinking or consideration for other road users I say good for them. Sometimes we are our own problems. Why will I fully functional completely sane human being deliberately do what's wrong??

Good morning honorable. Pls what's the effect on price if a rider changes destination to another destination when rider is about getting to the
initial destination . E.g trip starts from gbagada to yaba, then rider changes destination to Lekki phase 1 2 minutes to Yaba. Note that I asked rider to enter two stops but rider said he hasn't updated his bolt app to support two stops.

No effect if you are using the latest Bolt App version.
Time and distance will keep reading until u end the trip irrespective of what rider sets.

I always try to compare to give intending drivers options and ideas to make up their mind.
I’m not discouraging them but let them weigh the two information. I met a guy yesterday who works in an eatery and wants to get Corolla on HP for the hustle. Told him wrong move, how do you pay 2.7m in 3yrs? A lot of people are rushing into this hustle probably bolt advert of earn 350k per month.

2.7m in 3yrs is okay na Bazzo.
U want him to continue working in eatery?

If u are honest u should tell him it's possible to make 100k a week but some weeks when u r down u can make 50k and some other bad weeks u can make 30k. Tell him it's not easy but it is doable, tell him it will not be consistent o, but on good weeks he can make 150k sef. Compared to what he currently earns, he should weigh both hussles and make his choice. If the price of the car is too much, tell him to search for a cheaper car. At least these are your own believes... So why did u discourage him and in the same breath u r saying it's not like u like discouraging people.

Calabar is a small town na...if u gross 10k u have done well sef. Considering the fact that d distance of Marian to Ekpo Abasi cannot be upto N700 if u r in Lagos.

First thing is, did I say my target is 200k?
My issue with you guys has always beenand will continue to be the constant pessimism. That, you have been very consistent with. So I ask you, is it that every time you come out to drive na tales of woe you de get? If that's it then I'd say it's not the same for me.

I'll also be the first person to say "to each his own". Do what works for. If you fall ill as often as you claim then I'd say something's not right. If you repair car as often or fall into uniform hands often, something's not right. These things don't happen to me as often. I haven't "settled" anybody in more than a year. Last I was ill was in January. Doesn't mean it won't happen too. You cannot carry a negative attitude to work and expect positive outputs. The universe does not work like that.
I also say every time some days are great and some days, not so. However one constant I will state everyday is, there is money to be made. The business never cast. I am making money. So much so I no longer target 10k net daily, that's too small. It's the mentality that's changing. It's the efficiency that's changing. I can now afford to take two days off and still meet the target. I get to spend time with my girlfriend everyday and still meet the target. I work less and make more, that's what I've taken from cheerfulgiver, it wasn't for me to make 200k a week.

We are not the same you and me, or me and cheerfulgiver. To each his own, let everyone do him. You like night work,I don't, I only drive at night weekends.
But I won't sit somewhere and tell someone who needs a fair and unbiased opinion to make what can be a life-changing decision that e-hailing is sh!t.

And Of course it's not the same figure everytime.
Below is the last 3 months. August is my first full month since cheerfulgiver showed up. Pay attention to the trajectory.

All I see here is growth and someone doing better in the month d doom sayers thought it will be worse because no surge and bonus again.
You are doing well Chief.

You guys are changing narratives or forgotten so soon. Nobody ever said the job don cast,
Nobody said there is no money in the hustle
Nobody is discouraging anybody.
The thread has been peaceful let me not talk too much.
But the Genesis of all this started from

Generation 1sadpearl1910/kanuisagoat &me) Earn fixed amount
Some folks said you can earn a particular amount every month 400k and save up every year just like salary earners.
Others said you can’t predict your earning every week cos of unforeseen situations.

Generation 2sadthe whole thread scatter) uproar about posting dashboard or not.
Some folks said don’t post dashboard cos of insecurity and all
Others clamor for posting of dashboards.
Even dru23 drop money to support.
Okay, I’m indifferent about it but it will let us know the truth about consistency of earnings(unforeseen circumstances)
So it’s only you and CheerfulGiver that has been consistent in posting dashboard hence the mention. So let me sound like CheerfulGiver “if you don’t want me to call your name stop posting dashboard, as long as I see it I will analyze to proof my point not to discourage anybody or wish anybody evil”

Sweet trip don enter, sweet riders voice, later

Somebody can walkout of an accident car unhurt whereas the person sitting next to h/h had just died the next day or two that same person is on his way to a long journey by road. Another person can have such experience and will never travel again on a car for the rest of his life.

Look at R. Kelly he now uses ship to travel just because his gf Aliyah died in a plan crash.

Selah...
Do u think Cheerfulgiver is the highest earner in Bolt?
Or the only one making 150k every week??
It really amazes me when u say u have been in this business for the number of years u claim and still display this level of ignorance and naivety.
It's one thing not to be able to do it...that's understandable. What really annoys me is when u say it is not possible and u think u know what u r saying when infact what you are saying is erroneous and misleading. Even worse is your unwillingness to accept it, even when u see proof u will conjure excuses, or make up all the evil things that will go wrong to d person or his car.
I can show you a picture of Bolt highest earners in 2019 and 2020. Some back to back winners are there, there are lekpa, chubby and heavy people there. They aren't dead or gravely ill, we are still in thesame WhatsApp group interacting and sharing tips. I can display dashboard just to convince u it can be done consistently, I can meet with u so u see I don't have pot belly, pile or lost my sight. But guess what I don't have to proof anything to u again. I made u believe 100k net is doable without killing urself, I don't have the strength now to convince u that 150k is doable.
Hope u notice the only time we quarrel is when u post false Information. I don't have a problem with any bodies work habit or style. But just keep it personal, don't generalize.

Hi everyone, someone so close to me just made a very very grievous mistake. I need some help.

He went for a VISA enquiry at a Travel Agency at Allen, ikeja not quite long ago & somehow forgot all his travel & educational documents in a Red Corolla car.

According to him, he requested for a ride, while waiting for the cab to show up, he made some calls & totally lost himself to the conversation, that he failed to verify the ride when a red corolla parked beside asking him for direction.
He said he thought that was his ride & boarded it till he figured out, it was a wrong cab.
Immediately, he realised , he alighted but forgot to take his documents along.
The only thing he remember is that; the man is an Hausa man who drives a Red Corolla.
He went to MTN office at Allen for help , they said their CCTV camera has stopped working.

Please help me paste it on Group WhatsApp.

Ìkòkò tí yio je ata ìdí rẹ̀ á gbóná. D pot wey go eat pepper, d yansh go feel fire.

This issue no need prolonged arguments, you want to drive all day and make 40K to 50K. It is possible just know that your body and your car go suffer am.

The only reason that i will drive from 5am to 11:30pm everyday na if i collect the car on rental and i get target to drive like 6 months straight and drop the vehicle.

Car wey i buy for personal use, i can’t try such with it. Forget say you dey make money, after 2 yrs na you go wonder say shey my car be this?

I started this bizness full time with 07 camry CE in 2016 when uber dey pay well, joined bolt 2017. I work like mad fast forward to 2019 the camry just say oto geh.

Sold camry add some money buy toks corolla 07, since then i don make up my mind. Offline trip majorly and some metered trips cos na you go suffer your loss alone after you don drive all around lagos.

Some of my guys wey dey chill around hotels for ajao estate, they will say they can’t do e hailing cos to them na shit. One trip in a day they fit see 50K if hotel guest wan commot, the other day fit dry but at least they know say dia car dey parked and resting.

Las las all man for himself, whatever decision you make na you go enjoy the outcome. This group na to share experience not to shut anybody down or look down on each other.

Please wey angryigboman? i miss that guy analysis. E.g offline to Badagry 25Million naira lol
