Sorry I am posting this here, this happened to me yesterday. I was in bank to use ATM, I have not even brought out card, then I saw a message from the bank saying please use the OTP code to complete your transaction. Then within 2 seconds, a sum of 100,000 was removed from my account, I rushed into the bank, was told by the security to go and block by ATM card first which I quickly did. I complained to the customer care, and they said It will take 5working days.

Please, anyone know what else I can do to get the person behind it. Please I need your urgent advice.

Did you at anytime took loan from loan companies and gave them your password Security and expiry date?

The problem is coming form apps that ask you to connect your card to their app ... Those guys will collect your information and later use it to steal your money

Stay away from linking your card to any app.

Just search sportypay on Google and you will see a similar story to yours and it involves GTB too.

I think they're working with insiders. And what is striking the most is, in your case and the one I read on Google, the both of you were either in the bank premises or going to the bank when it happened. Can it really be a coincidence?

they don't need otp cuz otp can be routed even though you will get a copy of the OTP

Stay away from loan apps or any app whatsoever asking you to link your atm to their portal... Even any betting company.

They collect your password Security number and every fvking details....then after 6 it 8 months when you have forgotten, they'll come for your money

I have blocked the ATM and the bank and transfer the remaining money to my friend to help me keep. The bank said I should come back after 3days to get new ATM.

But they said I can check back on monday as well to know how far they have gone on tracing the account.

I haven't displayed for them, I want the time they gave to elapse. That is when I will show my madness in the banking all. Everyone around will know a madman is around. They should try and play with it. They must answer how transaction is authorized without OTP confirmation from me.

Check the apps on your phone. Probably one of the apps has the ability to read your text messages for them to access the OTP without having your device. Ideally, if an app is not on the playstore, don't download and install it. Go to your app settings and check access for all the apps. Let us know the culprit app if that is the case.

When you know you never did any online transaction in the first place, why did you have to enter your OTP? You could have understood the logic is wrong. I didn't enter any OTP. I only saw the OTP message and immediately after, alart of 100k.

I checked my app now, it was use at POS purchase
