There is no akpede tribe in Edo, unless you are referring to Agenebode in the Etsako region. Bro there are too many tribes in Edo, we even have towns where they speak Yoruba and bear Yoruba names, and towns up north like igarra, auchi - the region Oshiomole is from that are more inclined to the north in terms of having a huge Muslim population and answering northern names. The state is massive cheesy
Yeah,I think that's what I'm mistaking it for.....They have a larger population in niger state.... Majority of them are muslims

Some places bear yoruba names like in my place largely because the early missionaries used lots of Yoruba as priests and teachers in their schools.. The natives began to adopt the names of those they liked/revered.

tell us another most educated musician Artist?
Have you heard of Prof. Fela Sowande, Prof. Laz Ekwueme and so many others you just don't know who were already even retired professors before Sir Uwaifo enrolled in Uniben.
These information are in public domain , all you need to do is read to find out sir.

It's a mockery of the cherished memory of Late Sir Victor Uwaifo to regard him as the most educated performing Nigerian musician ( even he will dare not lay claim to such perhaps except in Edo State ), when as far back as the 80s, we already have far more educated performing musician than him and even foreigners pay so much to watch them perform and lecture them. That's late Prof Fela Sowande https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fela_Sowande

So the others before him who even became full fledged Professor before Sir Uwaifo enrolled in the university and these legends died as retired professors got what sir? Just admit that you don't know sir.

Please forgive me, I just remembered it is related to Bini history and I don't have the muscle for history revisionism cheesy

'Far more' did not just sit well with me, for every far more he caught up with them and he was on equal footing with them educationally before he died. Fame wise,Achievement wise Victor Uwaifo is a bigger man to both of them combined. Only Joromi is bigger than the career of both combined!. stop making it sound like they are equals in the first place, not only are they not, they are not even close to his resume!. You should have corrected him in a mild way not sprawling your insult to the great one. Your tone is insulting and demeaning.

They call him the Guitar boy.

Victor Uwaifo.

The boy with the incredible skills on the guitar.

Strumming the strings of his guitar, even the lame would stand up and dance when he played.

He would play in the village square, he would play in the city halls and people will gather to listen and dance to his tunes.

The guitar boy knew he was gifted.

He knew he was bigger than his current state.

He wanted to record a hit song, a song that will announce him to the world.

But every song he wrote was substandard.

Occasionally he would fall into depression.

One Saturday evening, he picked his guitar and headed to the beach.

The Bar beach in Lagos.

The beach was surprisingly deserted, not a single soul was in sight.

Click to read more about the story behind the song, Guitar boy by Sir Victor Uwaifo

May his soul rest in peace.

Long before the white men settled on the shores of West Africa.

There was a great warrior and wrestler in the Benin kingdom.

His name was Joromi.

Joromi was tall, young, very handsome, the desire of all the maidens.

His ambition was to be the chief bodyguard of the Oba of Benin.

So he showcased his strength at every opportunity he got.

Joromi's father was a farmer who had large acres of farmland where palm trees grew.

There was a mysterious palm tree that his father always warned him about.

"My son, don't you ever climb on this palm tree!"

But Joromi was a stubborn man.

One bright morning, he climbed the tree and tapped it.

Immediately he saw seven Spirit beings hovering around the tree.

The spirit beings had seven heads each.

Joromi challenged them to follow him to the wrestling arena.

They followed him.

He was happy that he finally had a chance to prove his power.

Joromi's sister turned into a fly and followed him to the wrestling arena.

She perched on his right ear and began to sing to him,

"Kri kese, kese, Joromi o...Jomijo, Krri kisi kisi"

It was an ominous tune admonishing Joromi,

"Don't wrestle with these ones Joromi, don't wrestle with these ones!"

Clich here to read the full story of Joromi the great Benin Warrior ---> https://leritude.com/the-legend-of-joromi-the-great-warrior/

Rest in Peace Sir Victor Uwaifo.

They give Reports on death per day, why won't people doubt it when there's no one who speaks of the death, came from COVID complications sad

Rest in Peace Sir. I love that His air roplane house painted pure white in Ekewan road that year, while growing in Benin those days. Truly a great man.

To have rose to the position of a lecturer, in Great UNIBEN, and a professional in His music carrier is worthy of emulation. His sense and style of dressing on stage is equal to known. Handsome man that year. I guess is a Bini man, not Esan as someone are ledge up there
