I am seeing videos and recent pictures of J. Tatum bulking up and I like it for only one reason..If that means he will increase the number of times he is taking the ball to the rim. This is one aspect of his game I will like to see take a huge jump. He has the handle, speed and skills to attack the rim but for some reason he does not do it as much as I would like. Also, the referees have not been kind to him when he does drive to the rim. All in all, I like his offseason progress. Despite playing in the Olympics he has transitioned into his summer workouts.

I like the way the Celtics roster is shaping up. The recent trade for Hernangomez from the Grizzlies is a good one because we only lost C. Edwards, Chris Dunn and exchanged 2nd round draft picks with the Grizzlies. He will give us some size, floor spacing and depth in that F position. He can also provide C options when we go small..

Why, because they took players that other teams rejected? Lmao

Looks like the Lakers are going back to the formula that won them the chip in 2020: agile big men who can grab rebounds and protect the rim. Gasol is as good as gone. With enough playmaking and shooting now the least they need is an immobile center that does more playmaking and shooting than rebounding and protecting the rim. I see a lot of sense in the acquisition of DeAndre. He's good for the regular season, just as JaVale was.

Yeah, you right. Lots of bigger bodies - again I see it as insurance to have a viable team if Lebron or AD goes down. These are all has been players, but what they bring is not necessarily shown in the stats. Its the veteran presence, know how and calm. At the very least no team can bully you on the floor.

One weakness though, it doesnt account for teams that can win playing small ball, like the Warriors. This will be a problem to solve come playoffs

They are picking these guys up for minimum dollars. I think these teams know better than you and me how much these guys have left in the tank. Gasol made a splash trade last year, but had nothing left in the tank. Rondo has big name, but you can tell his best days are over. Same with Ariza. Kendrick Nunn is the only guy I am excited about in all the trades Lakers made. Everything else na filler

As far as deep teams, Nets and Warriors are the teams to watch. They are the deepest and most talented. The next level teams in the west are Denver, Lakers and Clippers. East is Bucks, 76ers, Hawks.

AD can be our small ball centre. Or even LeBron. The essence of small ball is to have mobile centres/PFs that can switch multiple positions on defense as well as be able to do their primary duty of protecting the rim. And also be able to spread the floor on offense and be able to knock down shots wherever they find themselves. AD can be that guy, LeBron too.

I could be wrong, but I would be very shocked if Lebron can play as well as you think this coming season.

Man's really said the Warriors are the deepest team with Steph, Andrew Wiggins, a guy coming from 2 years torn ACL and Achilles and Draymond. Just to push a narrative that the Lakers are not the clear and undisputed favorites. Ogini na fio? shocked Niggas is shameless! chai grin

I havent seen how much he bulked up, but tmac and kobe did that together one season, and they got injured all the time. Next season they dropped the weight. Even an extra 5-10 pounds of muscle adds a lot more stress to joints than one would think. Its fun to watch though, because you get to the rim much easier. And you can play forward/center sometimes

Another NFL Season upon us. Will GOAT Brady continue to defy the odds?

And what are the Rooneys doing? Pay TJ Watt whatever he wants and stop being cheap ffs

The Bucs are the only Super Bowl winning team in over 7 decades to return all 22 starters on both ends (offense and defense). They are the absolute favorite and it’s a combination of many factors.

Dak looks good by the way..I did not expect this level performance after a horrific injury.

It's currently 4 o'clock and here I am at this ungodly time of the morning watching the start of the NFL whist my friend think I am raving mad. I think at times I tend to forget how American centric this sport is and how no one else seems to give a flying toss grin which in itself is a crying shame.

I suppose it's somewhat the same with MLB although to a lesser extent as more countries around the world play or watch baseball. NFL athletes for example are some of the best athletes currently in all of sports but if you asked anyone residing outside of the States to name their Top athletes, I doubt anyone of them makes most people's Top 100. Heck people still refer to the Legend that is Tom Brady and the great Russell Wilson as Giselle and Ciara's husband respectively.

Number 1 rule: Never give the ball back to Brady for the last possession in a ball game. The Cowboys did not manage the clock well in the final 2 minutes of the game. They also have to clean up their fouls.. it cost them many yards.
Re: The NBA Begins by chic2pimp(m): 4:58am On Sep 10, 2021
Mightily Impressed with the Cowboys especially with the brouhaha surrounding Dak's shoulder coming into the season. Keep this up and they'll make some serious noise come the post season.

And ohhh TJ Watt got paid big time. Well deserved. Top 3 defensive player in the League over the past 2-3 years.

Absolutely. He cost them valuable points.. But overall, the Cowboys should be proud of their performance especially on defense for me. They disrupted Brady, got some 3 and out possession. On offense, Dak and A. Cooper showed up, so did Lamb. They will have to find another RB option because Z. Elliot’s decline has continued.

Never rule out the Brady factor. Who else do you think can get Gronk, AB, Suh and other guys to play below their market value? He leads by example by taking far less. And making life easier for GMs. Just one year without Brady and Belichick is already spending almost $200m on guys who aren't exactly game changers and are mid at best

Respect to Dak. He impressed me last night

Lol this is why you don't pay the Running back too much. Todd Gurley, Leveon Bell, Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott etc. I actually think Running backs should get much better rookie deals because most of them by their 4th season are pretty much finished.

And TJ Watt deserves every penny. If you don't pay him good luck keeping players. I don't think we will have a franchise QB for another 2-3 seasons at least so it shouldn't be a cap space issue

The Nets traded for Jahlil Okafor then waived him. Bizarre considering they gave away several second round picks to offload Deandre

I respect this a lot about Brady. He has a team approach. I have seen many superstars take all the money and then play with scrubs because the team can't pay others..Guess what, they then turnaround and complain about not having pieces.

You are right about the impact of added weight whether lean muscle or fat has on the joints. From what I have seen, Tatum has not done anything extraordinary as far as bulking up goes. He still looks trim but with a little tone which he seems to be carrying very well from the practices/ workouts I have seen. I believe this is necessary for him because I personally don't want him to become a perimeter scorer only. He has the size, skill and length to attack the rim and that is the mindset going into this offseason.
