why are the questions not answered

because people get paid hoarding information that will help others.

I really don't know how much pay they will get though grin

Also, there are more armed robbers and killers as riders on bolt than any other app.

Then, avoid 5.0 rated riders at night.
Personally, i don't even pick 5.0 rated riders in the daytime no matter the surge multiplier.

Experience talk here bro... Nice1

Keep it up!

In fact I stand with what Cheerfulgiver said yesterday...Sum drivers are very dumb.
I just heard one followed rider into her house...watin u dey find? If anything happens wat will u tell bolt?

Wen I see the ones that even drive into riders compound to drop them I try to understand what they were thinking before taking such action. What happened to insisting you don't drive into peoples compound? Some don't even have the guts to tell riders to come down Wen dey don't feel comfortable! Watin dey do Una sef

As much as our lives are all in God's hand, Don't give one hand to the devil and expect miracles like in the Bible ..this is 2021 and this is NIGERIA!

Blame it on rating and blocking of account. That's why some drivers die like Chicken.

CheerfulGiver:
My brother. I've realized that Nigerians are too emotional and sentimental when religion and death is involved. You're not allowed to speak truth, in order not to hurt feelings. Nigerians want explanation to everything. A dead person who died out of his own carelessness and lack of due diligence, you are not even allowed to state his cause of death, out of "respect for the dead" according to one useless urchin on this platform. I just laugh.

I've read comments from drivers on this thread about the precautions they take on the job to stay alive. I can bet my left nut sack that if any of the drivers above had been in this guy's shoes, they would all be alive today. No where is safe in Nigeria, but I'll boldly say again that in as much as no where is safe, hustle must continue and since hustle must continue, commonsense must be applied.

I'll try my best to outline the exact things I do to keep myself safe, and I hope other drivers who have been applying commonsense would add to what I'll say.

I don't take trips from an unknown address. I don't care who you are, but I'll never pick up at a bustop, by the road side or a deserted street at night.

I don't take a trip where the destination is a bustop, or a lonely zone. Mile 2, mile12, ikorodu, Badagry, everywhere after festac, apapa, ajegunle, any where after sangotedo shoprite at night. If you wait for me, you'll sleep there.

I don't park on the road at night for any reason.

Most trips I take at night are always towards my home.

I never allow a guy sit behind me at night. I'll rather cancel. Few weeks ago, shortly before 10pm, I got a request to ogudu, from idumota at night. Caller was a lady. She sounded like she has been waiting for a trip forever. I decided to go on a 50/50. She was in front on the UBA. I reasoned that UBA is public enough, she could be a staff, and there'll be CCTV. 50/50. She kept calling me till I got there. I got there and called her that I've arrived. She said "OK, we are coming". My mind goes "we?" who the fuck_ is we? She had never used "we" since she has been speaking to me. Red flag. I asked who is the second person, she said her husband. Okay. Normal. Husband and wife.

She entered the car, and called the guy. Red flag. Why weren't they together? OK. Guy enters and seats behind me. Red flag 3. He had a husky agbero voice. Red flag 4. Another husky voice muscular guy enters the front seat. At this point, all the alarm bells in my head goes off at once and my heart beat increased. I was not going on this trip. I immediately shut down the vehicle, and stepped out. Told them I needed water. Went to get water from a woman close-by faked a call, came back to the car and told them I have a family emergency. My wife just called. I cancelled the trip. They were hesitant and told me they'll add more money to the fare. Red flag. I stood my ground and they came down. They were robbers. Short and simple.

Two weeks ago, I was heading towards the international airport. A request came in with a female name, from the airport. I called the number, a guy picked up. Red flag. Guy said he just landed and still inside the plane. Butbi wasn't hearing people's voices, nor the chiming sounds of the cabin of a plane that just landed, nor the voice of cabin crew welcoming them to Lagos. Red flag. I said OK I'll be waiting. I calculated the time that plane would use to taxi to the terminal, time it will take him to alight, time it would take him to go thru customs and immigration, time it would take him to get his luggage, time it will take him to push that luggage to the car park, and it would have been well over 30 mins. So I decided to go buy suya. I had just selected suya and the suya man was putting on fire, the MFker, calls me. Just 10 mins later. He was at the car park, 2nd floor. Dude WTF. Did you fly? Red flag. His background noise was same as earlier call where he claimed to be in the plane. 50/50. I got to the car park and called him. Did you say you were at first floor or second floor? He said second floor. Alarm bells. I replied, you can't be at the second floor because the way to second floor was closed. I cancelled trip and blocked the number.

I once received a request around mushin. Destination on app was lekki. A husky agbero voice MFker calls me and said he was heading to sagamu. Oh really, so you'll rob me along the way Abi? Told him I was coming and then I cancelled the trip. He called me 15 mins later with their usual parlance "where are you? " told him I'm almost there. Guess he's still waiting for me.

God's grace saves. Part of God's grace is common sense. Your body must warn you of danger. It always does. It's called sixth sense. I call it commonsense. If you ignore it, whatever you see, you take. If anyone here decides to pick up four guys going to the shrine at night, they are welcome to do so. The story said it was an uber request. I say it was an offline trip and those guys have used him for offline before now. He knew them. Again, police adds pepper and Maggi to stories. I once witnessed a crime in VI where the uber driver suspected he was about to be robbed and raised alarm. When the story came out, it was twisted.

I expect uber to deny this story. The trip will not be in their system because it's offline. No one remains online at 10:27pm in the comfort of a woman. No one.

Story also said they went to shrine after killing him. Shrine is the hotbed of all criminals in Lagos. If you continue to receive requests there, good luck to you. Drivers get robbed there everyday. Many times, a lot of deadly accidents could be avoided if commonsense was applied. A lot of deaths would be avoided if common sense was applied. Most times, the difference between life and death is common sense.

Attack me all you want, I really don't give a shit_ not now, not ever. I said what I said, and I stand by it.

OmG! Can someone kindly summarize this record breaking episode pls... I'm trying to catch up with current page pls can't read this right now biko.

BAZ001:

You and pearl1910 should leave me oooh.
Since I learnt or discovered how easy it is to net 100k weekly, I set a target of 30k daily cos we must make 1M this month.
With all the motivation here and there.
Gbam Monday very easy 5am to 10:45pm
Tuesday 5am - 11pm.
Yesterday, hmmmm 6:45am - 6:15/11:20pm
The journey was smooth from morning surge request coming like flood waters, got a surge trip to iju and I don’t do iju at all. But was tempted cos of surge and target.
Immediately I dropped rider trying to position request to lekki phase 2 (waooh so easy to net 100k) will do this last trip and set destination to my house... target met.
Got to lekki phase 2 dropped off riders and started feeling sick. my brain and body started communicating.
My Body: abort mission and target, go home.
My brain: for where can’t you see how easy it is
Body:Na whala you dey find
Brain: no be your mate be CheerfulGiver
Body: That Na robot not human being
, ants are not human.
Brain: okay, can’t you see Felicity001 doing over 300 trips a month.
Body: Tahh feli Na chief Hoodlum driver
Brain : see IFEBARBIE moving up to top of league. so you want to remain in the bottom of the league with Gentlelife50 and donfortune48
Body: tufiaka, mbanu, I refuse to remain with Gentlelife50 & other lazyD

Set destination to my house, went to position in ebano admiralty. Time was 7:15pm
Dozed off for few seconds, by myself I switched off my phone and slept off.
Next thing I heard was bang bang on my door
Security: Oga we don close ooh.
I looked at time 10:44pm (wetin happen? Thought I slept for just 30mins)
I started car and drove home, on my way
Body: very easy to net 100k?
Brain: (oya look away)
Been sleeping, eating and sleeping since yesterday.
No be me and you dey pursue 1million again
Time management is your problem. There is a difference between time and a clock. A clock is merely the measurement of time. Time has no beginning and no end. We train our bodies to do certain things at a particular moment. You rely on a clock, your body relies on what you teach it. Recommended sleeping hours is 7 hrs minimum. But there is no recommended sleeping time. You can sleep at anytime, but you always owe your body 7hrs a day.

Now, I'm not a robot. I basically use information well. I have a daily target of 30 - 35k daily. How do I meet my target and still sleep well? I was thinking about this 2 nights ago. We all have the same 24hrs. My management of that 24hrs will make me 1m. You also have yours. How do you manage yours? None of my business.

One Way I manage my time is by being selfish with it. It's why i don't socialize. Not that socializing is bad, but socializing cuts into my valuable time. Is my time consciousness better than socializing? Yes. I believe in hustle now, socialize later.

Sundays are my springboard days. I use Sundays to reset my body's internal clock. Sunday is the only day I exceed target in less time. If daily target is 30k a day, Sunday makes me 40k in less time. What that means is that I can be home by 6pm on Sunday's, except on days I go crazy, like the sunday I grossed 62k. I didn't need to, just wanted to. 6pm Sunday, I'm home. I can sleep by 9:30pm on Sunday and this guarantees my 4:30am wake up time on Monday morning. 5am, I'm on the streets. Starting early guarantees me meeting my target earlier, or by whatever. If I get home 12am, I leave home 8am. Whatever time I get home, I restrategize to make sure I don't owe more than 1 or 2 hours of sleep daily. Any day I make more than daily target, I repay my sleep before the next day.

That's me. So when you see me working everyday, I rest better than you because of my choices. I can relate with sleeping off and thinking you slept only two minutes. Happened in my early days about 3 times. Restrategizing has made sure it never happens again because I'm now more selfish and more conscious of my time.

For example, I have time today. My hub and shaft cups are being changed. You think I won't meet target of 140k in 3 days? Find out.

There's actually sense in what you've said. There use to be this guy on Indriver who will always request trips to far areas and its usually ajar, funny thing is that despite seeing his request pop up, it always shows "new user"

I have noticed one too around Akute area...anytime am in Akute or Ojodu between 10am and 1pm. Always putting Ajah area as destination with 5 or 6k price.
I keep asking myself, shey na everyday this guy they go Ajah from Akute? He has done about 80 trips, I don't want to believe that's 80 cars stolen or robbed or duped but it's suspicious. And I may be wrong.

Blame it on rating and blocking of account. That's why some drivers die like Chicken.
The honest truth is some drivers have not cultivated the habit of reporting riders before riders do. And I put sum of the blame on bolt.
During the video tutorial of how to use the app, you're only taught how to Slide accept and end trip..you're not taught these things which are also very important.

Another honest truth drivers need to know is; If you're blocked from ehailing today, you'll always find sumtin else to do!

I’m on my way back from sangotedo.

My brain whispered
Brain: see money in 3days
Body: today is our off day
Brain: see you in the middle of red stew
Body: we move tomorrow
Brain : what if no surge tomorrow.

I put on app
First request: sangotedo on 1.3x.
I parked far from pick up and sized rider before devil trick me out to red zone.
I’m refreshed and back in the game, 1M come to daddy grin

Wow...

Please can you expatiate on this, isn't 5.0 rating a good one which depicts that the rider is a good person without issues?

chillex8:

Also, there are more armed robbers and killers as riders on bolt than any other app.

Then, avoid 5.0 rated riders at night.
Personally, i don't even pick 5.0 rated riders in the daytime no matter the surge multiplier.
