Hello Canadian Aspirants.....
This information is for Applicants out there that there study visa app has been refused and they are thinking of giving up in their pursuit to study in their dream country Canada. I was inspired to put this down bcus I noticed some Applicants are giving up and are pulling the plug of their plans to move to Canada .
I don't blame them anyways, cus Canada embassy has a way of putting people into anxiety, curiosity and frustration base on the long wait and other things. But the thing is,there is a good news now, Applicants doesn't have to give up their dream to live and study in Canada anymore.

Basically, I understand whenever an applicant visa is refused, they usually feel devastated and overwhelmed with sadness, naturally that's how you will feel but don't allow it to weigh you down and affect your thoughts in making the right decision. My dear I have good news for you, don't be sad, rather dust yourself up and wipe your tears and face the problem at hand and tackle it.

What I'm about to share with you now may look weird to you but in my own perspective its the pure truth.
Now whenever ircc denies an applicant visa, to me it's an opportunity that needs to be capitalized on, like it gives the applicant an edge , it increases the applicant chances of getting the visa next time the applicant reapply.
I know this sounds weird but I will explain further for your better comprehension, in order to clear the grey areas for you.

Now what do I mean by this ?

Whenever ircc denies someone visa they will definitely list out the refusal grounds. Now you as an applicant needs to take hold of this opportunity and turn the sour situation to your favour. As a matter of fact ,you stand a higher chance of getting the visa compare to first timers who are about to apply.

Let me drop an example so that you will grab wat I'm trying to say.

Whenever ircc gives you refusal reasons, they are technically telling you , this is where and where you got it all wrong and this is where you need to address their concerns.
Now it's now left for you as an applicant to carefully and cautiously address the concerns laid out by VO and by doing this, you ve allayed the areas they have fears on and this will cause chain reaction by making them to approve the next visa application submitted.

At times, Applicant use to be in a hurry to reapply for study visa bcus they don't want to miss their class resumption after being denied without first not carefully tackling the refusal reasons given to them and after days, weeks or months of reapplying, they will still get the same denial and the same refusal reasons.
This is where most of Applicants gets it wrong.

Whenever a visa is denied , they need to take a chill and take their time and tackle the reasons given to them before resubmition.

Now whenever a refusal reasons are given to you, ircc is given you a hint on the areas that cause your visa to be denied, so copy those reasons and start tackling them one by one..
And again I strongly encourage ppl to always go for GCMS note, which will give them a comprehensive list of their refusal reasons, whenever there app is denied.
Mind you, the refusal reasons in that refusal letter ircc sent to you, there is a high chance that is not the only reason behind your visa refusal, sometimes dey use to give generic reason.
But ordering GCMS note will give you first hand of the details of all the refusal reasons given to you.
This explains why some ppl after being denied, they will only tackle the refusal reasons written in the refusal letter, thinking that it's the only reason given to them without knowing there are more to it and at the end, they will still get dia app denied again.
For instance, if your refusal letter contains only 2 refusal reasons and you went ahead to order your gcms note and you might get to see that your gcms contains 3 or 4 refusal reasons behind your app denial, so do you now see what I mean.
Pls don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a must you will order your gcms note after denial, No...
At times, the refusal the number of reasons that came with the refusal letter might still be the same reasons written in the Gcms note but you can't take any chances, can you, just to be sure.
So ordering GCMS note helps the next study application you will reapply stand a higher chance of getting approved.

Now in summary to all these I've said, when your visa is denied, don't be sad but rather be hopeful bcus your chances of getting the visa has been increased, how to I mean, that is if you carefully tackle the refusal reasons given to you by ircc, it increases and boast your chances of getting the visa in your next attempt.
That explains why so many many students studying in Canada today, they applied for Canada visa 2 to 3 times before they get their visa approved.

Now let be come down as kindergarten as I can in given another example for ppl who still don't understand the message I'm trying to pass across.

(As a student that fails an assignment, the teacher will write down the assignment corrections on the board for the students to take down, learn and study it, then during examination the same questions given for the assignment will be repeated again, now those that learned and study the corrections made during that period will be able to answer the exam questions correctly this time)
Do you now get the logic........

Finally, don't forget to involve God in this your Canadian study visa journey for Divine intervention cus whoever God's Grace speaks for you, doors for visa approval will be open for you and not even the VO will stop it.

These are my close Observation base on how people get their visa approved and take note of them, so if your an applicant out there whose visa has been rejected and your saying your tired of Canada, don't lose hope, be firm and highly resolved, you will surely get the visa.

Google has the answers you need here in terms of school selection, you can start by surfing the internet by searching for universities or colleges that offers a program related to your previous course you've studies before or Employment history and check if you can meet up with their admission requirements and also the school you can afford their fees.
If you see a school that meets your needs you can start applying for admission but before you apply for admission, make sure the school is govt/province approved and it's eligible for Post Graduate Work Permit.
While your on it, start putting your Documents together and getting ready to file in your study visa application

Wowww! So sorry. Please can you share which school to help others?
It's to really dig in to get all the information as regards refund policies for any school one is dealing with and even at that one has to be careful. There have some clauses scattered around that aren't too glaring until it's time then they would start giving you links to prove their points. It is well

Hello Kidsister

On a normal day, once a Medical request from IRCC drops on your profile, that tells you its time you go for your Medicals..

Also if an applicant feels the request for Medicals is actually not coming as expected, or the applicant doesn't want a delay as a result of a medical request in his/her application he or she can decide to go for an Upfront Medical without any go ahead from IRCC.....

For Biometrics, IRCC will notify you when to go for Bio-metrics... You can't decide to do bio-metrics on your own like what applicants do with Medicals...
If you are re-applying, you do not need to do Bio-metrics again... As Bio-metrics is valid for 10 years..

Hope this helps

Peace

My application in details-

Application Submitted - 09 April 2021 ( First time applicant)
Biometrics request - 10 April 2021
Biometrics done - 14 April 2021
NSE request - normal route
Upfront Medicals : 01 July 2021.
Medicals passed: 12 July 2021
Eligibility Started : 07 August 2021
PPR : 09 September 2021

Fanshawe College, deferred to January and awaiting my new LOA.

Documents submitted
All forms duly filled

Proof of financials-
Letter of funding
normal bank statement from my dad
Dad’s passport data page
Evaluation of landed properties and business goods

2 pages of LOE
employment letter
Bank statement of just the bank I receive salary from to show I am employed there.
Nysc certificate
Nysc posting and acceptance letter cause I continued with the firm after Nysc.
Transcripts
Waec certificate
Undergraduate certificate
Birth certificate
Travel history cause I did my bachelors degree in China.
Police certificate from Nigeria and China. (Police certificate from China took me like two months to get it. It was a whole lot of process and money. Cause I saw on the IRCC lagos consulate or embassy page that police certificate from country you lived in for more than 6 months is required. But maybe it wasn’t a requirement after all, I dunno. But I went through a lot to get it and finally submit it through web form).

My application was done in a rush to beat time cause when I applied, the IRCC website was saying 19 weeks for processing time. When I joined nairaland, I was seeing 8 weeks processing time so I got confused. After submitting my Police certificate via webform, people were advising not to wait to medical request, so I went to do mine. The wait was long. I nearly gave up… but August 7, on a Saturday morning I saw people were getting ghost updates on their profile. I went to check mine and I saw my eligibility had started. My hope and faith were restored. Another wait started… lol I was thinking after eligibility I’ll get feedback within a week or two but nah… it took a month! I sent webforms, emails, mailed some MPs too lol. Finally on Thursday no 9th of September it landed… all this while I was like when I get this PPR, I will dance ehn. Sometimes I practice the dance in front of the mirror but when it landed I was speechless.. I couldn’t even do my dance lol. I’m still grateful to God Almighty.

I’m going to Fanshawe college too, what course are you taking ?

Faithyyyyy:

Thank you for your input

My issue is I have already made commitment of paying the tuition deposit.

1- How can I convince the visa officer that an advanced diploma is good career progression.

2 - Can I write an LoE to demonstrate this

3 - The program has a Co-op options so I would be gaining experience while I study

4 - I have staff to keep the business going while I’m away studying

My main problem is how to convince a visa officer the advanced diploma is a good idea instead of my PGD as I am changing career.

Please you input ore any other user input would be appreciated thank you

@Faithyyyyy

Dear Gilb,

Below are my comments from experience.
1. Program and level of study.
It would have been wiser to do a post graduate diploma in IT seeing that you already have a bachelors degree in another field. Your additional qualifications and certifications in IT can help buttress your need for a PGD preferably one with a co-op. You can arguably present a solid case with your source of employment and company documents.
Proof of funds .
I should guess your one year tuition is about $16,000 and you have paid one semester tuition.
This means your whole program amounts to $48,000 for 3 years, living expenses for 1st year $10,000.
from the information provided you have about 10m for the process in your account after deposit of $8300.
10m black market rate is about $22,000 canadian only . This will show you have only $30,000 for the proposed study of three years whilst first year tuition and living expenses alone is $26,000 plus.
You do not want to put yourself in a dicey situation as it would seem your company would go bankrupt if you use all the money for your studies and if you are able to pay for one year, with your business closed while you are away, how do you propose to continue the two years without working in Canada or becoming a destitute student ?

these are just a few points to consider before proceeding with the application. you may need to reevaluate properly . A PGD is wiser and less expensive and your finances may be able to cover that.
For travel history and home ties, you would have to work on that convincingly seeing that you will be folding up your business and using its funds to study unless you have a staff strength with proof who can run it in your absence.

Regards

Hello everyone...
If you submitted in May and you have not received a decision yet...please kindly indicate
Thank you

We pray for good news for everyone

I submitted my application on the 9th of May 2021; did medicals on the 10th, and biometrics on the 14th of the same month. I was asked to undergo additional medical examinations, following the suspicion that arose from my chest x-ray. I was asked to supply the clinic some samples of my sputum for three days, which I judiciously did. I also had returned to my base to carry out my personal medical examinations at a top-ranking clinic within my area of residence to see if there would be any correlation with what I was told at IOM in Abuja. And the results were perfectly okay.

Interestingly, the result of my sputum investigations came out as "negative" after two solid months—that was by the end of July. I went for a repeat chest x-ray after three months of the previous one I did—in accordance with the IRCC's modus operandi —that was precisely on the 11th of August, 2021. While the above was happening, the processing of my study permit application was halted by the IRCC in that they wanted to be be fully sure that I was certified "medically okay" by their designated clinic before they could carry on with it. My medical status was updated to "passed" on the 19th of August, after appealing for their action on that through emails and web forms. Thereafter, I had to plead for the commencement of my eligibility review and background check via a web form and email messages —which started within 24hrs after my plea. Ever since then, I haven't heard anything from the IRCC.

My program has already started this fall, and I didn't start virtually because of the uncertainty surrounding my application. Also, I didn't begin my program online because I'm on a scholarship that is attached to a TAship. This implies that I would have to be engaged in a teaching assistant job by my faculty, from where remittances would be made for my tuition payment. Hence I had to apply for a deferral till next fall in 2022. Unfortunately, my program's entry point is only during the fall semester. I'm really quaking for the period of time I'd have to stay here waiting for the IRCC, and one more solid year in 9ja. This is my second deferral, having previously deferred my offer from fall 2020 to 2021—and now to 2022. But in all things, I'm still very optimistic about getting a positive response from the Canadian immigration office.

I feel so very thrilled to read about the good news many applicants have shared on this platform. God will quicken our good tidings, especially those of us still awaiting His miracles.

Am so sorry about all that you had to go through....
Happy that the medical has been updated to pass...
deffer your resumption, send the updated LOA to IRCC and await your goodnews..
I know the pain of having to stay over a year again....just keep being healthy and occupy yourself with some other profitable things till fall 2022
it will definitely end in praise
