Having studied in different countries and traveled extensively, I can assure you that if you do not have a full scholarship, working to pay tuition and living expenses will be extremely difficult, and the situation maybe even more difficult for those in non-English speaking countries such as Cyprus. Recently, I taught a sessional course at one of Canada's institutions, and one of the students in my class was a Brazilian who had to return to her homeland because she couldn't manage the financial situation and the backbreaking work required to survive. I have seen countless students from various countries as well in Cyprus that have stranded and left university for years because they can’t afford the tuition and those with jobs hardly can even pay the fees.

If you don't have enough money to pay for a full year of tuition and housing, you can continue your studies in your home country for the time being. However, if you insist on traveling in order to support yourself through work, you may be lucky or unlucky depending on the situation.

However, be prepared and optimistic; regardless of your plans, do not do anything that would ruin your name or that of your country. You might also consider learning some digital skills that will allow you to be self-sufficient without having to do a lot of time-consuming and strenuous work.

Hint: One of my students (a 23-year-old Palestinian lady in her second year of engineering in Cyprus) is a professional blockchain developer and junior machine learning scientist who self-taught herself. She is a practical expert with a long list of projects under her belt; she recently signed a two-year contract to work remotely for an Australian company building solutions, earning a solid wage without ever leaving her room. First, this is a plus for her since, unlike people who engage in fraudulent activities online, landing a job after graduation will be a piece of cake for her given her present recommendations and projects she has successfully accomplished.

Best wishes!

Basic English for anybody that can write, read and communicate in English. Depends on the university, some are multiple choices testing tenses, verb use and short write up. 98% of those coming from English speaking parts of Africa pass it easily cos is basic.

This is a tiny one building university. It has no accommodation of its own. Anyway, it’s located in Famagusta where offcampus apartment is cheaper than other city. You will find apartment either shared flat or one bedroom flat around 1200-2000 TL monthly and sometimes you maybe asked to pay for 3-6 months at a go.

Use this link below to see accommodation cost ( this your university is in Famagusta/ Magusa)

and school fees per year?

Have you not gotten admission?

If yes, all university writes the yearly tuition on their acceptance letter. Also, visit the university website to read to know more about the university and tuition. I don’t understand how you will be going to a university without knowing anything about the university like tuition and accommodation before you even process the admission.

And sorry sir the writing part is it like essay or composition

I don’t know what the writing part look like but if you have passed high school exam like WAEC or NECO from your country, and can read and write then you have nothing to fear it’s not TOEFL or IELTS it’s just common entry ENGLISH exam.

and what are the document I should go with while traveling there sir. What are the questions am going to be asked at the port of entry sir?

How did you get your admission? You applied yourself or via an agent? Read your acceptance letter; all required documentation are generally written in the acceptance letter and you can also email the university for all you need.

I don’t know what the immigration officer will ask you at port of entry. However, either at port of entry or exit, you must have information regarding the university you are going, who will sponsor you, your program of study and where you will live.

Have all your academic documents original and photocopies. Speak and dress like prospective academic student from a positively-cultured country and responsible family.

At EMU students don’t pay for quarantine room—it is FREE. In general, when you reserve your room you will be sent to your room to get quarantine since is your room that your have reserved or paid so nothing like paying.

Also, EMU already have some special dormitories for students to take care of such.

If your are coming to EMU, ensure you fill the pre-arrival form online, have your dormitory sorted and EMU representatives will collect you from airport and also follow up

Yes, you can still apply until the end of September.

To begin the admissions process, you must first decide on the program you want to pursue and research universities that offer it. Then look into the cost of tuition and housing. If you believe you or your sponsor can afford it, review the admission requirements and prepare the required documents. Then proceed with the application process.

Please let me know if you have any problems with this. First and foremost, what program do you wish to pursue and what is your GPA?

Because what you're asking isn't a set characteristic but varies with time and airline, the responses to your inquiry won't be specific. However, I will respond based on my own experience and those of my recent students.

1.please what is the cheapest return ticket rate anyone got this period,.

The cost of a flight varies depending on the time, flight class, boarding location, and carrier. As a result, it won't matter if someone tells you about the cheapest ticket. First and foremost, do you have a visa? If so, are you purchasing a one-way or round-trip ticket? After you've decided on those, go to the airline websites and enter your travel dates, boarding location, and end destination, which should be Ercan Airport, to get a price quote. The airline website is the best and most straightforward way to get a flight ticket. You can change the dates to view the rates, as well as the permitted luggage weights and other travel regulations.

The following airlines travel to North Cyprus if you are coming from Nigeria; Turkish airline, Emirate, Qatar, Egypt etc.

2. Any food item they don't allow into North Cyprus?

All legal foods from all countries are permitted. Weed/Cannabis, as well as heavy drugs, are illegal in North Cyprus. If you want to bring any products, such as human hair, don't bring too much because it will be labeled as commercial. Ensure that your food is well-packaged; anything that may have odors should be well-wrapped so that the scent does not confuse sniffing dogs. If you're bringing a live animal, be sure you have the appropriate certificates.

3. Excess luggage rate

Each flight class has a baggage allowance. As a result, you'll need to check the airline's website before or during the ticket buying process. There are no restrictions on the amount of luggage you can bring into the country if it is not commercial.

4. Food stuff list guide please

This will be determined by the types of foods you eat in your own country that are unavailable in North Cyprus. North Cyprus, for example, does not produce palm oil or cassava flour/flakes (garri), which are commonly used by Africans, although some retailers import from Africa and sell at a greater price. Any other items brought into your country will be found in North Cyprus, not in your local delicacies.

The entire master's program at EMU costs roughly 6800USD, regardless of whether the course is thesis-based or project-based, and except for MBA. After receiving your admission letter, you will be asked to pay roughly $2,000 USD, with the remainder depends on the number of courses you choose for the future semesters plus the registration fee.

2) I don't know much about Cyprus but can I work while I study, even if it's menial job?

I recommend that you google North Cyprus and do additional research online. In summary, NC is a small island whose economy is mostly based on tourism and education, with only a few smaller industries that serve its citizens. Some students find work in restaurants, hotels, construction, car washes, and tourism, among other places, although jobs are rare in general. Before going to NC, all prospective students should make sure they have enough money to cover their tuition and living expenses for the entire semester. The wages from menial employment are low and may not be sufficient to support a family or pay for the tuition.

3) can I travel with my family, husband's is a freelancer so he can work anywhere

Yes, you can go with your family as long as you can show the visa officer that you have enough money to support everyone in your family while you continue your education without relying heavily on jobs in NC. Almost all countries follow this conventional procedure.

4) is the school recognized?

EMU is a worldwide known university that is currently listed as Turkey's second-best and North Cyprus' first. For a list of accreditation agencies and global recognition labels, please see the university's website.

5) what's the standard of living there and is it a place we can easily adapt to?

As previously stated, NC is a small island that is not without its challenges, and the current minimum salary for legitimately employed persons is roughly 3150 TL. Monthly housing costs range from 1000 to 2500 TL on average. There is steady and consistent electricity, internet, and water. Public hospitals are normally free, but you must purchase your own medications. NC is not a developed country like the United States, Canada, or the rest of the world, but it is safe for its citizens and reasonably tranquil, with no kidnappings, random shootings, or other such incidents.

Furthermore, your style of living is determined by your earnings. For example, I am a professor at EMU, and the typical pay of an EMU professor is over 20,000 TL; so, the standard of living of a professor/banker or estate owner will be different from that of someone who works menial jobs for less than 3000 TL.

My questions are much, I am sorry.
Thanks in advance

I hope this answers you and my responses may not be specific, but they are broad enough to cover a wide range of questions.

Notify the university that you will be traveling with your children and that you will be financially able to support yourself and your children's education in Cyprus. Give them the children's international passport information. For EMU, a separate letter is usually sent to applicants like this, inviting them and their children. So I'm not sure about the university you want to go to. For the embassy, use this letter and accompany it with financial proof that you can afford the living expenses, as well as the father's consent letter.

Then I am thinking of staying there permanently with them and they will be schooling there... That's if we later find the country accommodating for families.

You must obtain a work permit for 6 years following your education or buy property/start a business to stay permanently in North Cyprus (meaning have a permanent residence card). Otherwise, you must either find/create a job or leave the country or begin a new academic program within 60 days of completing your studies.
