Oga mytv is dead and gone! There's no agreement between mytv and tstv..
If there's going to be any one, it's between Strong technology and tstv.

MyTv is strong and strong is mytv otherwise strong technology would continue to provide the fta service without MyTv..... Agreement has since be signed and mytv stopped broadcasting since September 1.

I hope they add salvation ministry to their offers

The five largest churches in Nigeria would have been captured

Redeemed
Winners
Christ Embassy
Salvation ministry
Dunamis

you have comprehension problem.
The migration is done only on strong receivers of this model....SRT 497S-HEVC decoders only.
Those mytv customers with other type of decoder are not among..
mytv is a broadcasting company and they have shut down. Strong technologies manufactures satellite receiver..
MYTV channels are no more, if the agreement goes through it means strong 497s receiver will be working with tstv channels.
Since you find it difficult to understand , i have to break it down for you..
have a nice day!

OK. You Don win...I have understood you.

However the owner of tstv says they are starting with this most modern of strong decoders on MYTV platform....if they find the older model subscribers base worth harvesting the would do so

Let me do my search because they are back on air now

Re: What Is Happening To TSTV? by Themandator: 3:34pm On Sep 15, 2021

No, it is because TSTV is not offering what would attract people to them

Do you have a TSTV subscription, for example? What are they offering that is different from DSTV and startimes?

They do offer attractive packages or channels...i disconnect both dstv and star dish because of their service

I don't want to call them frauds but they are cheats, went to their dealer to buy one, they said they are doing upgrade but I shouldn't worry that they'd be back in 2 days, paid #17500, it's almost 10 days, the dish is still occupying space in my room. Why continue selling to customers and lying to them when your service is out.

Unfair but dealers want to make sales... They are back now

Tstv airs league matches through some if the channels they bought just that they don't have rights to announce them as being on their platform

Re: What Is Happening To TSTV? by Themandator: 11:29am On Sep 20, 2021
Simple...they cannot compete with DSTV and startimes.

Let's start with content. What do they have that DSTV and Startimes don't have? (They don't have the Premier league , or any European league...do they? )

Second, how many Nigerians are ready to buy a TSTV subscription when they already have DSTV or Star times ?

Third....streaming is the next thing. People are now watching Netflix and other streaming platforms...and DSTV has a leg in that business.

They have something both don't have.. Cheap and per as you go option

I hardly need more then 80 naira on weekends to have 40 channels of my choice... Not Arabic and Islamic channels that I do not need.....

I love war movies and they have channels that shows very current ones written out of American expeditions in the middles East

I am not too keen about football but they have channels that air league matches.

The pricing is the icing for me... Sometimes I am on 20 naira per day made of up mostly news channels

Mobile Streaming is essentially for the unmarried.. I can't be on steaming with my boys and daughter and wife... That is not family life

You are on point! The major challenges TSTv have are those of bad technical policies and maybe lack of technical knowledge! You can't be migrating MyTv customers to your platform for two weeks while leaving your existing customers stranded! I use TSTv and I prefer their programme to all others except DSTv. Their subscription rates are very affordable and I love that I only pay for what I want to watch. Also, I find it very very convenient to pay subscriptions myself and at my convenience. TSTv has huge potentials but I doubt the handlers know that.

Does it make any sense to you as a person that they went off Sir because they want to migrate some mytv strong decoder owners? No.

They have told you that all you need to do with your decoder is do a blind scan..
Just do a rescan and their channels will come up then you make payment in installments that will be used as your subscription fees

Tstv and myTv Africa are not serious at all, and they have poor signal, small breeze like this, it will stop showing, very useless. undecided

Big lie... Their signals are stable
Re: What Is Happening To TSTV? by Themandator: 11:49am On Sep 20, 2021

Apart from the news channels, the reason why we pay for DSTV is because DSTV is paying the same channels for the right to air them in Nigeria.

My family owned a FTA (free to air) satellite once. Apart from the news channels , we could not get any of the channels DSTV has on that same satellite.

Dstv is not stealing anything at all. They even drop channels when they cannot pay for them (eg crime and investigation network because the owner of the channel suddenly jacked up the price )

Even Premier league....IT airs only on DSTV here because DSTV owns the package for Nigeria...just as Startimes owns the package for the Bundesliga for Nigeria.

I don't watch that crime and investigation.. Don't just know why.. It is 2 naira on tstv
