I'm a matured applicant (37yrs) and self sponsored. I had 15m closing balance. No landed property or fixed assets. I used family and my job(study leave approval letter) as home ties and I got PPR. Course is an MBA.

Mine took 10 working days although I stay close to Lekki where VHS’ office is based so you should consider that too.

I doubt the proxy of your residence to vfs was the reason why you got it back in 2 weeks. Passport submission and return in Lagos was usually done in 2 weeks, if more perhaps some other factors outside their control caused it.

Abuja has a lesser return period, say about 1 week.

Hello,

I got a refusal today also based on personal assets and financial status.

Application date: May 11,
Biometrics: May 21,
Upfront Medicals: August 12.

Feyisharah:

This is what I got
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of
residence.

Hi Plannie22,

You applications to USA or UK schools will.not in any way be affected, even with you Canadian Visa, you have a choice of either going or choosing to go elsewhere.

I wish you all the best in your decision ahead, congratulations on your Canadian visa

Hello experts in the house please help with this . Gif bless you

Blehseen:
Hi all
Your experienced input is required. Thanks in anticipation for your response.

I have a Bsc in Biochemistry 3.68/5-2014
Masters in Env Mgt (course based) 4.51/5 -2019
Worked as an administrative asst/customer service 4rm 2017-2020
Currently working as a production chemist (grad trainee) since feb 2021

No publications only final year research

I plan on trying study route gal 2022 these are my considerations.

1. Thesis based MSc in Env chemistry/bio assessment and monitoring claiming research/thesis is my reason for a repeated masters as It will enable me to proceed for PhD
2. PhD but with no In-depth research experience, no publications and a course based Masters etc feel my chances are slim

3.Pgd/pgc in chemistry technician claiming career progression and knowledge gap since I currently work in the laboratory as a chemist.

Please advice on the most effective path that will secure me Visa.

Hi guys, Just a quick question, please. My admission has to be deferred to next year January. PPR had been approved. If I get my passport stamped and I decide not to go to the Canadian school in January anymore and apply to an American or UK school for next year. Will my application for the UK or a US visa next year be refused because I collected a Canadian student visa this year and did not end up going to the Canadian school?

Please help.

You applications to USA or UK schools will not in any way be affected, even with you Canadian Visa, you have a choice of either going or choosing to go elsewhere.

I wish you all the best in your decision ahead.

May 11 applicant.
Did biometrics previously in 2019,
NSE request may 25
NSE submitted may 27,
No signal till today. Refused

My application was refused this afternoon after sending web form this morning around 10 am. I sent the web form attaching my letter of enrolment

Sorry about your application refusal, it is merely a delay, do not get discouraged. Order your gcms notes to know and understand the actual reasons for refusal, the one you shared covers generic reasons, your notes will help you tackle the main issues. I pray you next application will be the hit and will end in praise.

can I reapply immediately ,someone should assist

I like your spirit as you would like to refire immediately, I would however, ask that you first get your gcms notes, then can you tackle the main reason raised as you did see this in the notes. Address the issues raised, should you need help, there is lot of it here on nairaland. I am hopeful that once the concerns are addressed in your next application, you will testify.

It will end in praise in Jesus Name

Landing gist!!! Canada sweet nor be small.

I got to to the airport at about 4:45pm on the 10th of September. I tipped the security at the entrance to allow my husband and cousin in, the guy was just forming activity. When I got in, I was directed to NDLEA to check for drugs, that one too asked for tip. After there, the agricultural people sighted me and asked me to head to their counter because I had one bag of food. What I noticed is that if I wasn’t carrying a Ghana must go back, he wouldn’t have approached me. I paid 2k for the bag.

I was asked to go on the fast track because I gave the guy 1k. Went on to board my flight and we took off like 30 mins later. I slept most of the time as it was a night flight. Food wasn’t good at all, biko which one is over cooked garden egg and cheese? Landed in Heathrow, waited for another 8hrs before leaving for Toronto. This time, the food was better, it was rice and chicken something something(forgot the name, hunger dey catch me).

We landed after 7hrs 55mins. We weren’t allowed to get down because the crowd at the airport was much. Long story short, because of the queue, they took all our passports from us and printed our permits without questions.

Thank you for the gist. Amen, Canada will favour you in Jesus Name

Confirmation of Online Transmission: May 20
Submission Confirmation: May 20
Biometrics Letter Collection: May 21
Correspondence Letter: September 13
Original Passport Request: September 13

Thanks to everyone for your guidance. I didn't see it coming. Thanks to God.

I have a little concern tho. I deferred my admission till Next Fall (2022) already.

Does anyone have a connect of how I can get my COVID jab, so that I can travel as soon as possible.

Every advice is highly appreciated!

Hello dyce,

This is not a good advise to give someone that just got refused, especially the part you mentioned Judicial review....

Do you know what it takes for an applicant to do Judicial review? Have you seen the reasons for refusal and saw anything that warrants a judicial review from the applicant?

Please lets be guided on the advise we give here...

Peace

True, I saw that too.

Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for your candid insight into your application.
I'll like to know, If the bank only generated a ticket number for your brother's MBS without password, that means the embassy could not have assessed his account statement, right?
debbzJay:

Thank you.
I submitted his CAC documents, sponsorship letter, International passport and family pictures.
He sent me the money (10m) so I didn't focus on his account statement though he generated MBS which the bank only gave him the ticket number without the password so he typed the ticket number in his sponsorship letter plus he didn't have up to 12m in his accounts

They refused her application after refusing mine and they ve sent medical request to her since last week

Sorry to hear about her application's refusal too, since she got medical request, he application had been vetted and was considered for approval, the refusal afterwards is baffling.

You mentioned you both used same documents, his about the SOA, the amount in it, does it cover for the first your tuition of both if you with your living expense for one year.

I would suggest you both get your notes, and when reapplying, allow for eithe of you two be sponsored by either of your parents while the other parent cosponsor.
