As in ehn, I find this topic highly judgmental and illogical coming from someone who knows the economic situation of Nigeria. You would be surprised that the op and those who would say yes to this post have not even gotten to the employment stage yet. Lots of people in tech work from home, people render services to foreign countries from home in this hopeless country. Legit jobs oh. Do not be close-minded Iyaebe. I still do not understand what people have against bankers, you all should stop talking down on peeps who are trying their best to make a living.

I just even came across teachers in the post. Like teachers? This is one occupation that should not be talked down but encouraged.

1) Car dealers: These ones would drive different cars they want to sell and won’t let you hear word of how they have OWNED a million cars. Majority are very fake.

2) Contractors: What exactly are you contracting? Everyday it is stories and mood swings. They haven’t signed his proposal, blablabla. When money comes, they will just spend it voom. Two weeks later, back to square one.

3) Any illegal job, including the ones that have been normalized (e.g) yahoo boys.

4) Politicians and pastors.

I will pick Baba Saliu the Kazeem (roadside mechanic) or Chukwuma the okporoko seller before the aforementioned men. Not like it matters, but you asked.

Hmm these careers you mentioned are great except maybe car dealers and its just because their sales are inconsistent. Apart from that, it's fine.

Bitcoin trading is something I would happily resign my current job for if I have good capital. People have become billionaires from Bitcoin trading.

A lot of people on the internet are so sensitive today and they’ll easily go with what they want to hear, but the truth is, for your own sanity, you would most likely have a set you avoid and some people will avoid you too. The earlier you make peace with this, the better for you.

I missed out actors (or celebs) generally. Over the years I have wondered what some women find attractive in them, but I avoid them because I can’t deal with all the unsolicited publicity and drama they come with. I have met a few and one spent minutes convincing me to give him my number. He kept looking at me as if to say “Don’t you know who I am?” I recognised him even before he walked up to me, but I showed no excitement because I wasn’t excited to start with. He wished me a lovely day and left me to my demons. Except I am dating one before stardom, I won’t attempt any of them.

Any small thing, Nairaland guys will start the money talk. I wonder how much some of them even have, lol. Some things are beyond money, for me at least. And if at all it is about money, I will pick an Engineer or IT guy over a politician.

Some people do not like stay-at-home-jobs because many of them end up as recluse. Another set do not pay attention to their looks because they rarely have the need for outing clothes. It is not always about the money like guys like to insinuate. But that is understandable. Everything is a dick-measuring contest for Naija men. They are beginning to bore me real bad.

Most civil engineers who don't function as consultants have poor dress sense.
How do you make yourself dress well when you spend your week days (Monday - Saturday) on sites.
You always have to wear some old jeans and tops as you cannot afford to be changing clothes every month..

We only get to wear our nice clothes on Sundays and belief me it has affected a whole lot of them.

My babe actually helps in buying clothes for me cos I can't remember the last time I bought a few on my own.

I have come to never shame any type of hustle because Men are giving their all out there to provide for the family.

Most of your dream jobs out there, when you visit his workplace and see numerous insult and abuse your man goes through just to ensure he brings back that money, you would shed some tears...

And my plan was to marry a fellow medical doctor, an engineer,a lawyer,an accountant,a pilot or a geologist.
I ended up with a doctor(first choice).

I was turned off by men with certain careers, of course.

Some of which were : Politicians,Media personalities, Actors and musicians,Chef,Sportsmen, Military and paramilitary, educationists(teachers & lecturers),those who claim to be "bloggers, influencers, freelancers",those awon PA to the PA to the PA nonsense, sailors,all forms of "businessmen".
It wasn't about what they earned.
I didn't just want a spouse from these people,for personal reasons.

I once met a guy who was a chef in a 5-star hotel..he was doing very well,had his personal house and a car.Immediately,I knew what he did,I got turned off and I shunned him.
It's not always about money.

To be very honest with you, the last thing I think about in a partner is their career. Once what they are doing is legitimate. This is my personal opinion, people are not defined by what they do especially in a poor country like Nigeria where most people are in jobs to keep body and soul together. The most important thing for me is: Is the person a good person?
