Oando claimed to be Dexron 3h and they listed Type Tiv as one of the oils their ATF can handle. Manage that first.

Good day sooperrescue. I drive a 2006 Nissan Altima. I use seahorse dextron 111D trans oil and I noticed that anything i start my car and shift the gear to drive, it will take some seconds to engage in drive. I complained to my mechanic and he told me I need to drain the oil, wash the filter and use either Holt transmission oil or Nissan transmission oil. Where can I get the Nissan transmission oil and what type should I buy?

Gd day,my Kia cerato 2014 could not engage in any of the gear so I bout oando atf sp 11,after draining and filling the oil.The problem was still there I decided to put the car for sale. During testing of the car, the car was suddenly engaged. So I don't know if it was as a result of the oil I changed. I don't know if I should sell the car or I should drive because the gear box is 300,000.
What should I do?

There are some services whose importance is not understood until you really need them. These certainly include roadside assistance, assistance, and tow trucks. Focusing on quality and professionalism in these areas can save us time, money, and various hassles. Some setbacks can come in a completely unexpected way and create a series of problems for us. Among these, surely staying with your car broken down, or due to an accident, or due to mechanical or electronic failures. In all these cases, what is needed is prompt, professional help and at a not exorbitant cost. But let's see in detail the essential characteristics that an optimal and efficient breakdown service must have.

May i first thank you for the good job, giving folks here free specialist advise.

Mine is a corolla 2012, online research shows it uses Dexron iv tranny oil. I am scared of the oils i see around & intend doing a long road trip with this vehicle & gear oil is running low.

Please sir, how do i get the recommended Dexron iv synthetic oil, genuine one by toyota? Or what better full synthetic alternative do you recommend?

Thanks & God bless you.

I recently discovered Mannoil dexron 6 that is suitable for 6 speed gearbox. There is also Addinol 6 speed gear oil. These two will suit your car that requires WS.

For transmission fluid ....plz check to make sure the car really needs transmission fluid o... Transmission fluid is not like engine oil that you often o....... If the fluid is still pinkish color than it is ok .. But if it is dark it might need to change ......either way seek professional advice before doing to avoid premium tears......

For engine oil that should be change .. Changing engine oil will not damage your engine.... Look at the oil cap .. Your car uses 0W20 .. Below pic is a 2010 of mine...

Mercedes Benz will require 0w40 and the last time I got the Mobil 0w40 was from Gazzuzz and I suggest that you get in touch with him. As for the transmission fluid, there are 5,7 speed oil. The Star brand has been adulterated and I will advise you to look for mannoil or the addinnol brand of oil. Note that the Mobil 1 from Gazzuzz is the US spec

Please can I get the number of this your saviour technician. He is all I need now.

izang87:

Boss good day,
I eventually got a technician over a month ago now who did something on the car and the transmissiom has been smooth ever since. Although, he mentioned that the p2716 error will remain but I can keep on using the car without any problems.
I observed from what he did that he just bypassed the cables to the affected solenoid as it appears there was no power to the solenoid from the cables and then tapped from one of the ignition coils. I believe the faulty cables came from the ECU as I observed he most likely disconnected some cables to the ECU.
I have actually read online several instances that similar codes were corrected by toyota by simply changing ECU (I think there was even a recall by toyota for replacement ECU for some corollas).
The car is working perfectly and true to his word, the only code I get is the p2716.
I just don't like the check engine light coming on and prefer factory settings.
With my observation, will you advice i change the ECU and return original solenoid wiring as I don't think the transmission is faulty?
NB: I confirmed ECU is the factory installed one and intend to change it with Replacement ECU by toyota.
Pardon my long write-up and will also ask your permission to copy @gazzuzz.

Good day house. I use a corolla 2005 and uses Oando gear oil for the transmission. I usually hear people talk about Toyota type iv as recommendation for a corolla 2005. Is the Oando suitable or i should change to de Toyota type iv?

You already know the answer. Oando is Dextron 111 and Type Tiv is the next version to Dextron 111. Cars that use D111 are Toyota 03 model.

Honda recommend Dexron 111 as temporary replacement and not the replacement. Look for Addinol or Total Mvlv transmission fluid

I use a 2004 model ford escape 4X4 and suffered from a bad gear box which I replaced. After 2 months of replacement, the gear started malfunctioning again. It does not move forward or backward but after sometimes it will engage and fail again. Could it be the fluid I used? I used Holt's ATF. What do I do now? Is it repairable or should replace it. If I replace it which oil can I use apart from mercon v because it is not available in Benin where I reside.

So sorry about the wahala. Change the oil. Go to Otopec at Airport Road and there’s a man selling oils there. Tell him to give you dexron 6 gear oil. Flush out the old oil and add the new oil. Chances are that it will work
