Check the pressure reading of the system with manifold Guage to confirm the system integrity if it ok ,then check the blend doors.

Presented a Toyota Camry 2007 with a failed compressor to @ReelSleek at his workshop. He did a good job to overhaul the Compressor-Condenser system at a reasonable price. The car's AC system now working optimally

The AC guy had mentioned in passing that it seems the AC gas is leaking, and recommends to me I fix.

Want to ask your opinion on what could be possibly be wrong before I spend money again

Good day RealSleek I have read your good job on the thread. Kudos to you.
Since I got my car I noticed a strange sound coming from the engine bay. After troubleshooting, it was detected the bearing/pulley on the compressor is the one make such sound. I contacted an Ac technician and he said he will have to replace the part but I will loose the Gas in the system.

My fear is getting a good Gas that won't start giving me Ac issues.

Note: My Ac chills without any problem.
Car model: 2005 Camry

I'm having some issues my car ac too, I discovered it was leaking through the compressor oil compactment beside the dryer in front and the oil was refilled and it was sealed. The gas was refilled too and it worked well for just a day and it went back to non cool again, just blowing air(breeze). I have since left it like that, won't want anyone to work on it anyhow.
Your assistance is highly needed.

If i understand you properly, it doesn't blow cold well when it's hot...just check if the filter needs to be changed ..a blocked filter won't allow air to go through to the cooling vent
. Then top the gas if need be


There is no ac pipe that supplies air to the car o..every car has a way of getting air inside the car in collaboration with the inner fan ..

Your car needs a bed space in our clinic so as to be sure of the leaking spot sir.
The AC working for just a day indicates that maybe the leakage is too much..small leakeages can last up to a month or more before it starts blowing hot..so you should be hearing hissing sound, anyways I need to confirm if there is no air in the system to be sure of leakage.
You said oil was refilled to the system
...I hope too much oil isn't injected into the system, that can cause malfunction too.

Is there any visible pipe that burst?...if there is the holes or one of the holes was too soft or bad to hold gas under pressure..otherwise It could be the pressure switch..the switch is put in the compressor that instead of severed damages to be caused when there is a blockage somewhere ,the pressured gas simply escape through the switch

The pipe carrying coolant from engine through radiator to the heater ..(back and forth) is the heater system, quite different from the AC cooling system. I'm sure all he did is crossing the heater. So no more hot water coming inside the heater, if you notice the heater side of the AC isn't working anymore. So no other effects other than heating system won't work again. Ok?
So go and install your new compressor and condenser without worries.

Is the air from the vent blowing well??..Maybe it is short of gas or the filter needs to be changed. Or worse case scenario your compressor is getting weaker ( in cases if it gets colder when you are on motion)

I would've loved to bring my car but location is the issue. There's no gas just air but later no air cos when the valve was pressed the second day, it was just air coming out and later it stopped as if it's finished.

It’s not a matter of owning a car or not. It’s just a common sense something

If indeed you have a leakage then the entire Freon in your ac system would have leaked out in a couple of days isn’t it? So where is your ac system seeing the Freon to generate cold air on some days?

Pls, I had my condenser replaced 3months ago due to leakage. Everything has been fine until 3days ago that I defected a reduced coolness of the AC.
2days ago I heard a hiss or that sound of worn/weak engine belt after which all coolness gone but only air.

I took the Rx300 to AC tech, The dude asked me to start the Ac then said my Compressor has burnt. He loose a nut attached to the compressor and smoke came out smelling bad.
My problem is, what could have caused this?
A cost of Tok Compressor is 40k now!

A remember the Tech Man strongly recommended a tokunbo condenser then cos I was hoping for brand new. His reason was that the brand new might spoil my Compressor!

Good morning boss. My issue is this, my car is a 2008 Camry. The AC cools very well when idle,and looses coldness as i accelerate, the more i accelerate the more it looses coldness. It chills on a hot day at idle or low speed.

The only work done on it was replacing a hose that gave away and refilling the system with lubocool gas

Two, a blocked condenser might starve the compressor of oil thereby leading to compressor knock.
Thirdly lack of oil in the system will knock the compressor.
It is always advised to change to new parts when dealing wit AC. Also when changing the condenser it is advisable to change the drier bottle, if it's not a single unit.

Its probably the washer inside clutch plate is too much..causing it not to magnetize and catch properly when the AC is on.. i.e if the compressor is manual...open your bonnet and try to observe if it's making rubbing sound.
It could be electrical too but I doubt.

I recently washed my engine and on starting there was no issues. Latter that same day I started hearing a strange sound from the engine, my mechanic checked and said my compressor bearing is bad. The ac cools very well. I drive a 2010 camry. Is their any solution to this apart from getting a new compressor
