Ask your spouse to write a letter addressing his concern and use any of the the courier post in Germany Deustche post specifically. They don't joke with letters, and it's always read.

Okay thanks alot

Atopet:
Good Evening All,

I resumed 1st Sept 2021 as a Phd Researcher, sponsored like the DAAD with monthly pay and I have 2 kids, the eldest is 5yrs. Please when can my wife apply for Family Re-union and what are possible criteria to be met before applying for reunion? I have an apartment her in *** and have gotten my contract letter.

Secondly, how long in estimate does it take to get an appointment and is there any thing additionally that could be done to make the process easier like blocked account etc and how can I go about it?

I appreciate your response

If you haven't added your family details to the DAAD portal then you should start with that. Then write to the DAAD contact person stating your intention.
My spouse is a DAAD scholar. He got a letter of invitation for me from DAAD. I called the Embassy and explained my situation, I was asked to apply for visa appointment then send my reference number and the Invitation Letter from DAAD via email. I got an appointment date within a week. You should get passports for your kids if you haven't.
You also need to have to more than a thousand euros in your account for when you get contacted by the auslander office.

Good evening. Please I would also like to ask a question pertaining to changing name on passport. I just applied for change of surname to my husband's surname. Will the passport number change when the new passport with my husband's name come out, my other passport with my maiden name has not expired yet. I would have applied for appointment already, but I don't know if the passport number will change. I need to apply as soon as possible because to get interview date takes a year, time is going already. I would appreciate answers please.

Good morning y'all,

Please I'll like to know how long the verification procedure takes in average, as from the moment you go for the interview. Will be glad to hear from different people's experiences. Thanks.

Good morning house.
I have a question please.
Must you have BOTH a degree and an offer above the approved amount to qualify for EU blue card as an IT professional?
Can it be one or the other?
I called the embassy to ask and the response i got was that it’s the employer that will confirm if one qualifies for work permit or EU blue card.

Please I have a couple questions. I have an interview next month but I registered with my maiden name as it is the same in my passport. I have since done a change of name but I'm yet to make a new passport as I have 2 years left on it. Will this be a problem? Also do you pay the 150k verification fee for infants as well?

Lastly, I missed the deadline for the last A1 exam registration so I'm set to write in November, do I tell them before or during the interview? I'll appreciate a response pls

It is okay to go with your same passport and also okay to keep your maiden name for your application. The only complication that might arise is if you have used your new name on any document you will present at the embassy. If that's the case, it'll also make sense to already swear an affidavit that you are the same person that bears the two names. You can then submit this along with your application.

For the verification fee, provided you are submitting the application alongside your own, a single fee covers both applications

IT related roles fall under the shortage skill. Hence, you don't need an offer above the required 55,200. However, the offer must be 43,056 or more and the employer MUST get an approval from the Federal Employment Agency (FEA)
