DROPPING OF COURSES/EXAMS

We hereby inform you that dropping of course and exam has commenced today, 22nd September, 2021.

More so, dropping of wrongly registered course is usually done at the ICT office in every study centre and the only required document is your registered exam/course slip. Thus, please make sure you have a printed copy of it.

Kindly visit your study centre with evidence of registration i.e registered slip to drop any course. It's applicable to all students and all study centres.

This is the time to drop any weed (unwanted course) among the courses you registered earlier.

Guess what? The fund (money) used to register those wrong or unwanted courses previously will be credited into your e-wallet immediately the ICT staff drop them and there is chance for replacement of courses. We can also help you to drop any course for those who don't want to face the stress of going down to the study centre.

NOTICE TO FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

Those of you who are almost due for graduation especially 2017, 2018 set of matric number. Remember that some new courses were introduced in the year 2017, some GST and departmental courses. You are expected to register them, sit for the exams and pass the courses before you can graduate with the old set of students in 2021.

Every university do not just run programmes, courses are actually reviewed by NUC every 4 years or more, for accreditation. So, in the process, some old courses are removed, New courses are introduced.

Check your matric number and all your courses from 100 level to 400 level to be sure you have done all the newly introduced courses, not just GSTs.

We see some final year students waiting for their graduation list when they still have some newly introduced courses left undone. If you do not do it this semester, your own graduation may be till 2022, after you must have realized why your name was not listed in the Graduation list.

Some students did not graduate last year, due to omitted and newly introduced courses. And they are still yet to do anything about those courses, they are hoping for a miracle on the Graduation list.
We wish all best of luck.

I believe CIT801 is a newly introduced course. The available course material at www.nou.edu.ng is that of CIT701.
Anyone who has information about this course should please comment.
Thanks.

Good day everybody in the house

Am a final year student of national open university though I've stayed beyond 4 years because of some pressing issues.
I've cleared all my courses, I've done both my project and seminar as well as seminar defense. The only thing frustrating me now is IT which I've suppose to have done the previous semester but after I'd registered it as a course I was unable to register it online, so I laid a complain to my study center, they asked me to drop my details and come back the next week which I did.
When I got back the next week they said they have sent a mail to siwes but they are yet to get a reply, I should go and come back again. I went back again on three different occasions but I kept hearing the same story. At a stage I decided to do it on my own, I sent a mail(with my details) to siwes to help me reset my password, after some time I got a reply to initiate a password reset on the login page which I did, after initiating the password I received a mail with a link to login through the link but the matric number attached to the link was a wrong matric number.
I had to send another mail again for the matric number to be corrected, then after some time I received another mail asking me to send a copy of my course slip where I registered the IT. I took a screen shot of my course registration slip and sent but since then I didn't get any reply again until the end of the semester.
Now its a fresh semester and am still contemplating if I should register for the semester and start the process again, I don't want to waste registration fee again cause I have no outstanding course left, just this IT problem and time is not on my side.. I've even sent another mail to siwes for over a week now and I've not gotten any reply
Right now am so confused and stranded, please who can help me out, what do I do

No need to re-register. You only re-register 'projects' when you submit and your result is returned as failed. Pursue it that the sites site is opened for u and you are able to upload your details. Backdate the period of your IT correctly.
Cheers.

Not at all. It's not a requirement. Don't allow some Staff to push u to spent money unnecessarily.
