You should visit London or New York. Trains break down DAILY on their lines leading to long delays. No biggie. So long as you have trained engineers at hand to fix any issues, and the NRC does.

IT IS HIGH SPEED RAIL, which is commonly defined as rail speeds upwards of 200km per hour.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-speed_rail

''Abuja-Kaduna is a 186km line with standard gauge railway tracks from Idu, near Abuja, to Kaduna in the north-western region of Nigeria. It has nine stations and features both passenger and cargo trains. The passenger trains on the line can be operated at a speed between 200km/h and 250km/h.''

That train doesn't go more than 150-180km/h

Reflect7:
Because they are still technically test running them to ensure safety. The NRC has said they will do this since these are the first high speed trains in West Africa, and care must be taken to ensure they run safely at such high speeds. So speed will increase incrementally.

That is the common sense approach.
Technically.. grin just like they technically defeated Boko Haram and?

My friend will you shut your trap and go learn what is going on in your country.

Ode.

Warri-Ajaokuta-Itakpe line is also ''one train'' in your head?

Abuja Light Rail System is ''one train''?

Do you think it is only ''one train'' that operates on each rail line, or network?

Go and learn how rail networks work because you have no clue.

Mr one train, two train.

This is one of the reasons nigeria can never develop, illiterate everywhere. Other African countries are building industrial railway which is single wagon can carry 80 ton payload. Nigeria is building Light Railway which is only used for carrying people nation of illiterate

The Abuja Light Rail is designed for intracity commuter travel.

What is this knucklehead yammering about?

What is the use of the speed when they are light railways they cannot carry goods and containers. In most countries the trains are meant to carry goods. Kenya Ghana South Africa there trains can carry 85 tonne gross weight per wagon. Why are trains can only carry 15 tons per wagon.

Abuja intracity line is a light rail service, the only light rail service in the country as far as I'm aware.

Do you know what ''intracity'' means?

It means only within Abuja metropolis.

Stopping at the many different stations inside Abuja.

You need to learn what is going on in Nigeria before contributing.

So many of you are almost comically ignorant. wink
