How , the Russians built this complex which became outdated immediately in the 80's. We like to deceive ourselves . The money spent on this complex since 1980 is enough to build another Abuja .

A plant the russians developed in the first place.. they were just rotating it amongst everyone coming to drain the country.

The russians would have put this steel plant into a working state years ago.

Ajaokuta Steel whatever is a recycled scam format every Nigerian president has always used to create a hopeless hope for the gullible hopeless citizens.

They have been signing contracts on revamping this Ajaokuta steel since the day's Adam and Eve got evicted from Eden.

OBJ undervalued the so called national asset that supposed to be producing anything and everything the human brain can conceive and then privatized it and a larger portion of it was sold as scraps.

Same Ajaokuta Steel BS stories with different Narrator's, and it's been going on since I was in primary school, finished my secondary and university educations, married and now a dad yet Ajeokuta Steel has refused to evolve, grow up and has remained stagnant and unproductive and the same illusions are still being sold and the younger ones with zero sense of history are buying into this recycled Ajaokuta Steel scam.

Anyone cheering for this recycled scam is either a kid, a teenager that is still being fed by their folks or an uncurable purveyor of delusions or an endemical irredeemably gullible being or a career scammer that is part of this recycled packaged scam.

This recycled Ajaokuta Steel scam format is as old as Nigeria.

Baba forget the conspiracy theory.

I worked in the NSA for years and we looked into certain issue in other to establish a security angle.

The west had nothing to do with it because most of their trade delegates where interested in other areas.

France is the main western nation with gulp amount of interest in africa which is evident with the francophone nations.

And those francophone nations have higher amount of solid minerals than Nigeria and they also have a functioning steel plants that serves them.

South africa always serves a bulk of western economic interest and is stable politically and economically than Nigeria.

Congo is another nation still serving the western interest due to their former colonial connection to belgium.

This particular plant passed through the hands of indians and chinese 80% of it operational and none operational life.

And these two nations dance to the tune of our politicians more than the west and Russia. So it will be natural as a politician to go for those who dance to their tone.

Russia had always been ready to help with that Ajaokuta Steel industry but the US used the cold war to shove them out. I hope they will get it right this time
