Are you assuming Aramide has not blocked Londoner on every other channel? Perhaps this is the last resort? Just saying...but like Londoner has requested, we should stay out of the matter but I guess we can spice it up with some “ajasa” tongue wink

Dependants usually wouldn't get an exemption

Dependents living in the same house should.

Thanks so much for the response. Well appreciated.

The whole point of these short-term visas is that they are supposed to be for people outside the UK.
The visas havent gone live yet (this week, they say), so no-one can yet say how they'll work, but usually such recruitment (agricultural workers and those categories) is done through agencies.
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by jayifeanyi1234: 5:31pm On Oct 02, 2021
Pls, how can I get in touch with the agencies.

Thanks ones more.

Dependents get council tax exemption as well. Write to your council tax peeps. Fill the exemption form online and Upload details of you and your partners visa. They will send the exemption certificate to your apartment, one for you and the other for your partner with details of exemption period.

That’s how I did for myself and wife. Like someone said about visa rules. My wife’s own was not do medical works (or something like that). I didn’t read that well because e no concern us. Na Pastey chef she be and e far from medical work. I don’t know if that played any role.

But from what I read last year (and believe it’s still applicable this year). The dependent is exempted from council tax just as the main applicant.

Hello house any body with information on divorce in Nigeria. A cousin of mine in the UK wants a divorce and he spoke with a contact person in Nigeria, the person said the price is N300,000. I was really surprised about the price. Pls is this actually the price. Please any one that have gone through it or know anyone should kindly assist. Many thanks.
So this guy is still on this divorce matter? I pray he doesn't move from frying pan into fire.

Lol......

When I received my first council tax gbese, even though it was expected.....I still frowned....payed it immediately to reduce the annoyance...
I calculated my estate security dues, mai guard, refuse collection etc in UAR and it didnt come close, so i thought of Education, health care, a working society and I felt better. ..

Preshyi:
This is more complicated than I thought o. Council tax no dey our budget

Lol... Some guys don't know that the devil you know is better than an angel you don't know. I can only think of divorce if my wife is involved in adultery. But in this guy's case, he just wants to cheat the wife.

Hello everyone

I was just thinking how one can prepare himself ahead for the job market after graduation. I'm studying information technology with cyber security with graduation in 2022.
Any pointers will be appreciated.

Please how do yougo about applying for these jobs that sponsor visa,I just got into the UK and trying to settle in.please help me.
dustydee:

Accept the offer, finish your studies and take up the job/switch visa. I believe the organisation making the offer know the applicant is on tier 4 and needs sponsorship hence the offer.
I know people who got offers with sponsorship just after the end of their 1st semester around January/February for September/October start.

Check various job boards and apply for a role you like. Some will state that they offer sponsorship while some won't. Just apply and see how it goes. If you are a student, check your school career website, attend job fairs (You will find this on your school's career website), gradcracker.com, totaljobs.com and many more.

Why not look for certs in IT Risk Management and go for them

CISA/CISM/CGEIT/CRISC

You can also look at Identity and Access Management while at it smiley

Interesting

Thank you so much for your input.

But how can I present/position myself eligible for the job when I haven't graduated?

Please, do you have further advice on positioning one's resume since I can't work full time yet and yet to graduate?
