Now I understand better, looks like it works well on charger but backlight goes off on battery mode, this is a rare case.

The first thing to do is try another battery with it to see how it goes, if problem persist you need to see a laptop technician.

Thanks. I thought the same thing, 'cause sometimes when I leave it fully charged, it will usually lose some percentages when I turn it on later.
The only problem is that the battery in built-in. I will need to order it online where I am not sure of the authenticity of the battery.

Lol, thing is I gave it to my friend that work at CV... he’s always the one doing the repairs for me... I just don’t feel comfortable with the price he told me and since I wasn’t the one that went myself he wouldn’t want to beat down price the way I want hence my reason for asking here

Do you notice if any of the keys on your keyboard is misbehaving, probably typing on it own or not working at all?

A bad keyboard will make your laptop to malfunction.

Type service, scroll down to Windows update, click on it and change it from manual to disable.

You have to format it. Those type of applications usually have strong encryption and override the default system functionality.

Roll back to wins 8 or 7.. this automatic update and huge data consumption are common issues with wins 10. You can backup your files and do a clean installation of wins 8 or 7 and turn off unnecessary updates.

The solution is to wipe your drives and do a clean installation of windows (preferrably 8 or 7). It worked for me when I had the texts highlighting issue.
Your system feels new and you don't spend unnecessarily changing keyborads and whatnot that don't have issue.

I couldn't find any, the system file checker (sfc) and disk management tools in command prompt didn't work either till I wiped the OS and installed a new one. It worked like charm.

My advice is if there is no physical damage to your system hardware like keyboards, touchpads, speakers etc. and fluid didn't spill on it, then it's not broken. Do a clean installation after backing up your files to solve malware and virus issues.

Downgrading to a lesser OS version is not needed except you really want the particular OS version. Also there is no longer support or updates for Windows 7 so its not advisable to go back to it.
