There seem to be lots of low self esteem individuals on here because I can't seem to fathom the worry on this olise case. In a country that recently produced world class talents like ndidi, osimehn, chukwueze and iheanacho. And have the likes of ejuke, moffi, awoniyi and Sadiq on the sideline - our goal is to focus on grassroots level and keep applying pressure. We have lots of osimehn waiting to explode. Nigeria should never ever beg anyone to play for us because we're a football country and aggregating our population, talents are bountiful. Personally, I will pick Chidera ejuke over Olise but that's just my opinion

Don’t mind them my broda

If we loss olise to Algeria, it'll be disgraceful to us. I'm not happy about it. E just dey pepper me for body. Not Britain or USA, Algeria?

I won't forgive Rohr if we loss this guy seriously.

Seems Algeria has shown more seriousness in reaching out and convincing his family, as well the lad about their plans for him, while we stood back hoping on isha Allah. This one pain me.

Nigeria is not Afghanistan brother.
Nigerian girls r allowed to play football.
Nigerian boys r allowed to trim their beards

You mean Southern Nigeria or you wanna feign ignorance of what's up in the core north with their sharia/Islamic laws? Do you see northern girls playing soccer like our girls in the south?

Tufiakwa, I feel insulted to be in the midst of so much low self esteem Nigerians. They’re crying because a French and English reject playing at a small club denied their request. The same footballing country with a population of 200 million and has produced okocha, Kanu, Yekini and most recently iheanacho, osimehn, Ndidi and chukwueze. Tufiakwa unu

You completely got it wrong bro. I feel most of us are pained because we could have as well have him. But I think the more serious side did, while we were hoping. We didnt negotiate or offer him reasons like Algeria did. They literally got in touch with every single one of his family members. Now thats how you know who Wants you most.

Chief my attitude is as much as possible gather the best players possible to rep the GWG be they homegrown or foreign born.

The grassroots is the foundation of our football so rightly and logical it should get the necessary attention of football authorities when scouting for potential replacements for the current generation of SE players in the future. However we shouldn't be shortsighted that we live in a global village containing a vibrant diaspora we should never be apologetic to tap from. If we are happy to receive remittances from Nigerians based abroad why do we know turn up our noses at those who sincerely and genuinely want to rep the national colors? All we should be insisting on is that their should be a level playing field where the best of the best will be always selected not based on sentiments of where you are born.

Regarding Olise if he ends up representing Nigeria all the best to him but all this gloom and doom, and low self-esteem are not necessary. Frankly speaking if you doubt the ability of the current SEs to perform then I would question your presence on this thread because why would I spend my every waking hour to comment on a team I don't rate and say you're shxt?

In 2018, Kierran Trippier was a starter for Spurs, Nathan Clyne for Liverpool, Young for Man United, Walker for Man City, but Southgate would leave these four and Wan Bissaka in the EPL for an Aina that was not a regular starter for lowly Torino abi? You he funny guy grin

no one ever said we didn't need him we all wanted him in the team because we all saw his potential but since rumour has it that he is opting for Algeria instead of Nigeria, so what do you expect nff or rorh should do after he had been reached out to and also was in a list by rorh and also walked away from a insta live session when he was asked about representing Nigeria so do you expect amaju or rorh to go and put a bed in front of his house and beg him every morning smiley smiley smiley to play for Nigeria

Olise is Nigerian through and through. Nigeria should do everything to hijack whatever deal or offer Algeria promises him. We must not loss him. Our midfield needs him more. Except Rohr Wants to deceive himself and keep inviting quack defensive amateurs.

When Aina came to his little limelight, he wasn't half as good as all these players - Kierran Trippier, Kyle Walker, Ashley Young and Nathan Clyne who were the list of England right backs, so Aina wouldn't have gotten a look in playing for Chelsea academy, championship and the bench of Torino. Also, presently, he still wouldn't have gotten any look in with Walker, Trippier, Arnold, Reece, Bissaka, KW Peters, Lamptey all vying for that same position. Yes, Aina, I love and wish well as a player, but he never stood any chance with England. Deal with that

Business and Negotiation is a skill that I learned from Donald Trump. No. We should never beg anyone. Just make them an offer they cannot refuse.

Nff and Rohr say back expecting him to think it through when Algeria were busy doing all the dirty job. I reckon many if you laughed initially and mockef Algeria that theyll never get him. Well, here we go. The ones who wanted it the most, wit the best offer, got him.

Rohr is the fault here. I bet if dude was in Germany he would have done more to get him. But he allowed him slip away because we failed to paint am offer to him and make him see reasons to play for us. And yes, begging too is allowed. Begging not in a beggars way, but with a carrot offer that promises a win-win for both parties.

I am sorry guys for your Olise loss but I hate to say I told you so. No sensible player with a bright future will dare play for Nigeria! The country is in ruins and the same people that are clamoring for foreign borns are probably the same people that voted Buhari in. People are being slaughtered like chickens and you guys want patriotism and respect from diasporas. If you guys were Olise would you play for Nigeria ? If Olise is your son would you advice him to play for Nigeria ? Answer these questions and tell me what are the potential benefits of playing for Nigeria.

The other day wayodude was exercising confidence on the possibility of Udogie playing for Nigeria based on the fact that he probably has "Bini pride" and would not want otherwise....and I said WTF! So , you expect him to lose his life benefits because of your "Bini pride" ?

The Nigerian forward, alongside two other African stars, suffered racist insults from Fiorentina fans during their Italian Serie A clash on Sunday

The Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella has apologised to Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, Cameroon midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly for the racist slur aimed at them by a section of Fiorentina’s supporters.

The three African stars played crucial roles to help Napoli come from a goal deficit to earn a 2-1 win over their hosts on Sunday evening.

Osimhen’s brilliant run of scoring in five consecutive games was halted inside the Artemio Franchi Stadium, but the Super Eagles ace won the penalty from which Napoli equalised.

Frustrated Fiorentina fans aimed monkey chants at Osimhen and others, with the 22-year-old ignoring them for the most part. He would later take to his social media account to express his disgust concerning the incident.

Writing on his Twitter handle, Mayor Nardella offered his city’s apology to Osimhen and his African brothers.

“Victor (Osimhen), André-Frank, Kalidou: on behalf of Florence I apologise. (Those) who yesterday offended the Napoli players at the stadium does not represent the city and does not represent Fiorentina, which immediately distanced itself. In stadiums, there is no room for ignorance and stupidity.”

Osimhen’s four goals in six Serie A matches have helped Napoli maintain their perfect start to the league campaign, with Luciano Spalletti’s men sitting top of the log with 21 points.

The Nigerian star is expected in the Lagos camp of the Super Eagles ahead of the former African champions’ World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic on October 7.

seems you have turned it into transfer market so I will like you to spell out the possible offers Algeria offered him that Nigeria didn't and we all know rorh doesn't prioritize midfielders in his team, because if you are frequent on here you will see where many people have one time or the other pointed out good AM's and attacking midfielders that they feel deserve a place in the team and even if he plays in Germany it won't still change anything except if he plays in Bordeaux in France because rorh as a soft spot for players there, no one is to be blamed he choose Algeria and don't let your emotions gets over you bro even Spain no do pass this one when they had the chance to cap Messi but he opted for Argentina, if oliseh was that important to France and England they would have capped him even if Algeria offered him all the money they have he will still won't play for them if england or France showed interest.

Nathan Clyne was not in Liverpool in 2018/2019 season. Stop lying here.

By the way Aina was a Chelsea player before then and we know Southgath will surely give him a call to block him from playing for Nigeria.

How many games did Tomori play for Chelsea before he was called?
