You can wait for a week or maximum of two weeks then resume your sending .

Before then please pray as this is the crucial stage and even more important than mails.

Hello Gbemisola

You said you sent them lot of mails which prompted for your Eligibility to start, so why do you wanna stop now..

Keep bombarding them with more mails until you get your PPR... In fact I expect you increase the number of mails you will be sending henceforth....

Do not relent until you get your Love letter...

Peace

Plug for police report, alagbon Police force headquarters, i just did mine for 5k. Best call Inspector Ronke on 07030611055. When you get into the police headquarter and ask of forensic centre. it is a white two story building.

Go with your international passport and passport photograph.

Yes ooo it is not a compulsory document. Thank you for clarifying this. I once mentioned this here but I guess almost everyone on NL is grtting police clearance certificate for SP.

Me and my friends that applied to Canada did not do it and they have all gotten their SPs and I am awaiting mine.

Frankrobbn1:

Please be advised that you don't need a police Character Certificate for a Canadian study permit from Nigeria. It's optional!.

It will end in praise

Should I continue sending or should hold on cos someone said if u disturb them too much they might give u decision faster which may not be favourable

Hello OctGsam, please I sent you a mail like few minutes back. Kindly respond. Congrats on this great news.
OctGsam:

I wish you well. Because your "Eligibility start" post alerted me on Monday night 27th September to check my profile when I was reading this thread to notice mine also have changed. I stopped frequent login to my account to reduce anxiety grin. Including @JosephYemsol(m): 7:41pm On Sep 27 and @Mikediaye: 9:18pm On Sep 27 users. I included the date and time of post because I bookmark those our eligibility started the same day somewhere for tracking. smiley

So hubby got refused on Sunday. We have applied for his GCMS notes.

We are definitely reapplying. IRCC no go shame us.

NB. The refusal came in a week and in that period, there was no update on his profile other than confirmation of submission.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 1:41pm On Oct 06, 2021
Hello Tinakem

The bolded is actually very funny....

Ask the person to tell you where it is stated that "disturbing them too much" will lead to a refusal.. When the person gets an IRCC source, then you can come back here to update me..

Now note: So far your application has passed the IRCC processing time for study permit and also if your resumption date is getting close, you have every right to send them as many mails as possible...

We have many applicants here and those I helped with their applications who sent as many as 10 mails everyday, and within a short while, they got updates on their application... I had a particular applicant early this year who I was guiding, I told him to send at least 5 mails everyday, but cos of his worry on his delayed application, he actually sent 10-15 mails everyday to at least 10 IRCC Visa centres and also sent several mails to his MP.. He got Medical request the next week he started and got his PPR the 3rd week...

The only time it is not appropriate to "disturb" them with mails is when your application has not passed the processing time...

Whites are not like we Africans that see things like this as disturbance.... You are not disturbing them, you are simply reminding them of your delayed application which supposed to have been finalised cos it has actually passed the processing time...

Let us all be guided...

Peace

For finance,

Who was the sponsor
Did you pay any amount towards his studies
Were there lump sums that werent explained with evidence if necessary?

For the purpose of visit- it came from your sop. Did your sop cover the reasons behind your decision to study the intended course, the decision to further your education now, show your academic/career progressions.

For immigration status,
I can't tell what it means but probably has to do with the location of the applicant (my guess).

As per cheaper airline, Depends on when you're leaving. Never tried any of those airlines.

If you're hoping for a date earlier than Jan 10, then all airlines (wack or great) are overpriced unfortunately.

I booked a January 10 (direct Qatar flight) for 347k two weeks ago, same flight is currently going for 390k...it keeps increasing as demand for the date goes up.

If you want a cheaper and reasonable airline, you might want to move your travel date a bit further down....Jan 11 etc

I am booking Egyptair for January 14. Total is N296,000. That’s the cheapest I could find and went for it. Me I no get plenty money

What's your definition of a delayed application. IRC has no standard time again. Do we assume after 2 weeks it's a delayed application?

Hello lobinche

Processing Time is always stated on the IRCC website..

Below is the link for the Processing Time as we speak

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

Choose Temporary residence as application

and

Study permit form outside Canada

13 Weeks is the current processing time..

Hello everyone,
Please I have a question. My question is this, can someone apply for visa with a bank statement with transaction history of about N60 million but a sitting balance of N200 thousand?
Will it raise any concern from the visa officers?

Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
Good luck to everyone waiting for PPR.
