| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 2:28pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
currentprice:Thanks. May not be risky though ........since management is going to buy minority shareholders out. ![]() Worst case buy-out price is 55k (tentatively)........who knows, the mgmt may be a very generous one. ![]() |

ojeysky: ![]() Any time there is small green like the past week, this place is unusually bubbly. Hopefully all the noise will die down from today and market stays down. I like to see depressed prices, I want to keep accumulating until that dividend income is at N4M/year. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by talk2me2: 8:47pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
OBAGADAFFI:Good evening House, it's been a while. How are you fearing? Talking about UPL though I am not their shareholder, for about a month now I have been observing the price movement and I am suspecting that it is being manipulated. How can a stock be on full bid with about 1 million shares bid at 10% above the previous closing price, and the stock still close 10% lower than the previous closing price without filling those bids that are at 10% higher than the opening price that remained there until the market closing time? Or is there a new rule on ngx that permit such that I don't know about? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 9:06pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
talk2me2:Although I have not been able to monitor upl because of it's nature(seasonal stock) but I think the 1m bids you are talking about are not being filled and keep on appearing day by day because there is no adequate offers to match the bids.Remember the rule is for a stock to change in price, there must be a 100k block units to effect a change in price. I will watch the movement of upl tomorrow. Buying upl is not the issue but to hand over is the koko. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 9:13pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
OBAGADAFFI:-Illiquid stock. -No volume supplier -No 100k block units to change the price. -Keep on appearing stagnant day by day. -Full bid without price change -Tomorrow, it will be on full bid and close at previous price. -You can move it bro....... |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by talk2me2: 11:09pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
locodemy:Oga my point is: NSE rule is that, if the price must move the highest bidder have to be filled first before the lowest bider. If they are crossing to themselves no matter the volume they should leave the stock price the way it is. The question is how do they move the price about 10% lower than the previous day's closing price with just 100k shares, without first filling those about 1million shares bid at 10% above the previous day's closing price? |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ojeysky(m): 10:02am On Oct 07, 2021 |
OBAGADAFFI:How is it manipulation though? if you offer 100k units for instance, it will close at 10% higher today |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 10:12am On Oct 07, 2021 |
The next and biggest attention might shift to UBA... DD as always |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 10:59am On Oct 07, 2021 |
ojeysky:I have not seen any sign of manipulation oooo. No reasonable offers to match the bids on the table. What is dragging it backwards is the forces of demand and supply. If it is manipulated, the price won't be stagnant. It will still close same today unless their is adequate supply that can bring it up or down. |

E Ku Market oo. E Ku FBNH....... ![]() First bank crossed 10!!!! Closed to full bid earlier....,...pulled back to 9.85.........moving up again gradually with more funds moping and chasing the Elephant.... UBN Higher bids than offers........ It must be that Airtel buy over will have significant positive impact on FBN, to have warranted this massive mop up.........FBN is pocketing around 88Billion or more........ samguru:Lol. If FBNH should stay up, then it's a matter of time that Access will meet up, overtake and take it's place back...... This is just my opinion anyway. Mr. Market may say otherwise. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 12:04pm On Oct 07, 2021 |
yMcy56:Wow that something oh. But how did you arrive at 88billion. This is a quote from the link you provided "In what appears to be an open offer, the telecommunication giant revealed that if all minority shareholders agreed to sell their shares, the total buy back will be worth an estimated N61.24 billion (c$148.1 million, using an exchange rate of 413.38 NGN/USD)" The said 61billion goes beyond fbnh shares to also including shares of other minority shareholders |
