Same with everything our government tries to destroy or capture - there's huge public backlash, SAA being the most recent example. It's back the sky with assurances that it will no longer be a drain to the fiscus because we demanded it rather be shut down because it had become a cashcow for politicians.

So crying about how the NPFL has gone to the dogs and now you'd rather willingly be second class citizens in Europe having bananas thrown at u week in and week out, is absurd to a South African.
