Lol, I speak in parables, what I really mean is that, there are alot of people who think that Forex is a scam, if u tell them u are a trader they will just call u a gambler, so instead of been discouraged by their words just use it to double your lot size(motivation to succeed)

Exness has been way available before Hotforex, has more trading volume, reputation and far better in terms of spread, instrument offered and deposit rates. Hotforex is just popular among Naija traders, take it from someone who uses both brokers.

They are both good brokers, just choose any wink

The brokers seems good but complicated and not Nigerian friendly Broker... The blog is targeted at Nigerian i think, then it's better to go for brokers that allows easy deposit and withdrawals for Nigerians.

If you are a Nigerian, based in Nigeria, I would recommend Hotforex for any naija trader that want a hassle-free trading in terms of easy registration, fast and easy deposit/withdrawal, excellent trading platform, highly competitive tight spreads and proactive customer care services. Being in a relationship since 2013 and still standing...... I know what am saying. Abi wetin I know sef?

yes , you are probably right sir. However we just highlighted their benefits, especially for newbies, rather than most other brokers that wait for you to blow your account and then call you to deposit more money.

Don't dwell too much on hedging,
For me i only hedge when my setup create the opportunity , i don't actually hedge to protect trade, just basically following my setup.
So on trendy market if i don't see an opposite setup i don't hedge it.
At the bolded, can you explain better?
Thought hedging is basically done to protect a trade.

Good day sir, I'm not exactly clear on the opportunity here, but if it's a chance to get a prop firm trading account. I'm all in. I've been trading forex since last year June, and I'm looking for opportunities to grow. Please I'd like to participate in whatever way. Really in a tight spot with my finances right now. Thanks

The stage you are right now is what I called "The fake reality stage" it is a stage were you will be having winning trades back to back and you will be like "wow, after all this years I finally figure out Forex" but unkown to you you were just been lucky for some few months, so u mistake this luck for skill, No, it is not skill but luck, then all of a sudden your so called solid strategy started lossing back to back and you will be like "wait o, what is happen to this my strategy" it have been winning well for the past 5 months , so why is it losing, and b4 u know it you have blow your account again and the strategy that use to look good to you is now useless in your eyes, and this will now bring you back to "The Harsh Reality Stage" this stages mostly come with frustration and depression

In my trading journal, I invented 3 practical ways on how to handle the "fake reality stage" like a pro without getting frustrated and getting back on track, but I am not in the mood to write too much now #Good luck cool

The week is closing already with a LL and what may look like a LH (I would imagine so because it's past midweek and probably the high of the week has been formed yesterday)

If it is the case, we may visit 1.14 soon.

That was the case. We may be going to 1.14 people!

Lol grin

I had countless sleepless nights, yet I am still shaky in this forex game.
Maintaining my live account over the months with growth has never been an easy task.

At the end of the day, bad days will come, good days come but money management is the key to this game. Once greed sets in, you lose your mind.

One thing that has helped me cope is thinking of my wins or losses in percentage rather than money. Sometimes I can get like 5% in a week or 15% which could be as little as 70$, last weekI got a -2.7%. With this mentality, consistency over time is the goal.

There's a whole lot this journey will teach a trader.

For new traders or demo traders, this market will give you 1000 reasons to fail or quit. You only have to find one reason to not quit and keep improving. It's a hard journey.

That's why I'm asking for instructions. I have tried to go through the posts, but I haven't seen clear guidelines for how things work here. Please point me in the right direction.

If you find a system with positive expectancy and enough opportunity, then you are trading.

If you have a system with negative expectancy then you are gambling.

For the early stages of a business, investors and entrepreneurs often discuss a
model of financial projection known as “hockey stick revenue growth” (see
Figure 1.1 below). Any new business or venture usually struggles to be
profitable for a while before it takes off and becomes very profitable.

Many businesses never take off and simply die, but that should be no surprise
for both the investors and entrepreneurs because that is the risk of doing
business. The hockey stick model is with us in a variety of aspects of life. For
example, many people choose to take loans and use credit for their studies and
degrees with the hope of paying the debt off later when they graduate, and most,
of course, do.
If you look at day trading as a business, and I hope you do, you should also
expect to see a hockey stick type model. For sure, you will struggle at the
beginning and lose some of your capital. It’s almost guaranteed because the
learning curve for day trading is steep. But in time you will experience more and
more good days, and your results will become more and more consistent. The
key is to stay in the game. Day trading is a marathon, not a sprint.

In trading, learning is a continuous journey.

Traders must love their business, but they also must be objective. As an
employee, you can go on doing something you dislike just for the sake of the
salary that pays the bills. As an entrepreneur trader, you will need to love your
trading business. But you mustn’t fall into the trap of thinking and acting like an
employee in your own company, working in rather than on the business, being a
technician rather than the person who steers it forward. You do not trade for
someone else. You are the business.
