*Maidugurii city security update!!!*

*Focus !!* Assault and killings !!

There has been some elements using Keke NAPEP from midnight to attack people in their houses and in some cases killed them!

The trend reportedly started by some CJTF who were dismissed from a school they were protecting on the account of stealing !

They reacted by killing the principal of the School in the night !

The attacks has since spread out to other people suspected to be reprisals from the disgruntled CJTF and there mentors !

The trend may not immediately affect us and our interest ...however please let us adopt some suggested mitigations below as a precaution to the threat !!

1, Avoid using Keke NAPEP with one or two people inside at night

2, Avoid late night movement getting back home latest by 9pm

3, Install hardening to protect your rooms if they are vulnerable to intruders

4, Maintain low visibilities not showing your work status in your neighborhood

5, Don't take side with community conflicts openly in your environment

6, Where possible vary your routes and timings for your outings

We shall continue to monitor the trend and provide update if the threat persists ...

Thank you !!

Another issue we are going to find hard to deal with soon JTF
I prefer the creation of a state police that will be well manage and organise to all this different groups that are been created up and down. This kind of situation is not possible under Amotekun.

I don't want to believe the Nigerian security agencies won't have the capability of stopping an attack on a presidential jet or his helicopter without them paying.

So far they know the kind of Anti Aircraft Gun with the Bandits, they should know about is capabilities. Knowing the capability will help the security agencies to secure all the position the jet or copter can be strike from and even secure beyond the perimeter sef.

Maybe is easier said than done in the book of Nigeria security agencies sha.

PRESS RELEASE

NAF DID NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENT TO BANDITS IN EXCHANGE FOR WEAPONS

1. The attention of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been drawn to news reports circulating on some media platforms alleging that the NAF, through one of its personnel, paid the sum of N20 Million to armed bandits operating in Jibia Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State in exchange for an anti-aircraft gun allegedly seized. The report went on to state that the reason behind the payment was to retrieve the anti-aircraft gun which, it alleged, the NAF feared could be used against aircraft operating within Katsina State.

2. The NAF wishes to categorically state that there is absolutely no iota of truth in the spurious allegation that was undoubtedly designed to cast aspersions on the good image of the Service. The said report is totally false. It should therefore be taken as fake news and disregarded. Indeed, we ordinarily would not have responded to such baseless and utterly illogical allegation but for the need to set the record straight as well as reaffirm the NAF’s unflinching commitment to decisively dealing with the armed bandits and all other criminal elements *in the Country in partnership with other services of the Armed Forces and other security Agencies.*

3. For the avoidance of doubt, it must be stated that there is no basis for the NAF to pay bandits or any criminal elements that it has continued to attack and decimate in Katsina State, other parts of *the North-West as well as other Theatres of Operation in the Country.* Indeed, as recent as *12 October 2021* , NAF aircraft conducted 5 missions in the Jibia general area and engaged targets with rockets and cannons at Bala Wuta bandits’ locations in Kadaoji. Similar successes were recorded at Fakai Dutsin Anfare, an area in Jibia LGA known for its high incidences of bandits’ activities. The false reportage therefore, begs the question as to why the NAF would negotiate for a weapon allegedly seized and still carry out air interdiction missions on the same bandits and their strongholds. *The NAF is of the view that, this latest false report could be a part of a campaign to further the cause of insecurity in Nigeria by elements who see the NAF as a threat following series of successful exploits in operations against criminal gangs.*

4. Perhaps, this provides an avenue for the NAF to yet again appeal to members of the media, both local and international, as well as social media, to be circumspect in their reportage and endeavour to always verify their facts before going public. The public is enjoined to disregard the falsehood emanating from some sections of the social and mainstream media. The NAF also uses this opportunity to call on citizens to continue to cooperate with security agencies as efforts are ongoing to rid the entire Nation of criminals and their activities.

5. On our part, the NAF, as a professional and disciplined force, will not in any way be discouraged from carrying out its mandate to rid the entire North-West Nigeria of banditry and other forms of criminality. We remain resolute in performing our function and will continue to work in synergy with other sister Services and security agencies to rid the Country of all criminal elements.

6. Kindly bring this information to the awareness of the general public.

These current service chiefs are annoying.
NAF carried out 5 missions 5days ago in jibia and we did not even hear anything, no statement, no video nothing nothing.

We are missing alot of opportunities we have to write the military name in gold.
Propaganda has always been part and parcel of war since the beginning of human existence. If Azerbaijan did not post videos of their drone strike during their war with Armenia, only Few guys would have given a shit about Turkish drones. Just a couple of videos gave the Tb2 drone largest market it has ever seen.

But over here, I do not understand.

Sometimes I wake up here in Sambisa with the feelings that we might just be fighting a Fruitless war in the Northeast.

My reasons :
1) Many peeps are still in support of terrorism( They may not say it with their mouths, but deeply in their hearts) Funnily enough, even by those affected by it.

2) The Poverty Rate is Astronomically high.

3) No Birth Control. A man with no means of income still getting married and procreating several kids with no fatherly care. ( Raw Materials for ISWAP)

Well make we still Dey push and pray.
May God continually bless our Gallant Soldiers cos e get time e reach even Jack Sparrow abandoned his Black Pearl.

Wow. So uninformed.

WSJ, USA today and Times are the most widely read newspapers in the USA. and someone here thinks they would want to tarnish their image by publishing a fabricated story about Nigeria of all places. Something that is not even directly connected to US business affairs. I hope they draw Washington's attention on this mess.

Instead of trying to employ fallacies. Sit down and ask yourself. Why is the government repeatedly denying the act of paying bandits, when evidence keeps on growing. From sustained rumors,to a WSJ piece. Why does every bloody group with automatic rifles seem to overwhelm the government?

Why then do we have special forces? Or are they just better trained infantry. What happened to night missions, door kicking, sabotage, reconnaissance, captures and assassinations?

Think, brother think.

Many of you here like to feel smart, but are averse to criticizing own beliefs.

We have a lot of gullible youths in Nigeria, so people actually believe Naf will pay bandits just for 1 AA gun?
An AA that Naf has been decimating from Boko Haram and ISWAP for decades now? How much would it cost Naf to destroy this particular AA gun?
We have a lot of clowns in Nigeria actually.
