tutudesz:You don't get it. An aircraft begins it's final approach from about 10km out from touchdown zone. At which it may even be less than 500m from the ground. So you don't need to be at the airport to shoot a plane. A runway is long enough that one may not spot you even if you are not for from the end. Compare it then with being 10km further out. I'm sure you don't know all this. Yet you'll jump out to argue. 7 Likes |

Roan77:You are a big fat illiterate yourself. Commercial jets don't fly up to 50000 feet. Besides, they don't land like a stone from 35000 feet. they come down to 5000 at initial at about 30km out and less than 1000 at 10km out. I'm waiting for you to prove me wrong. Let's see who is dumb then 8 Likes |

Faithful007:Guy have you been to Katsina airport Your argument doesn't make sense at all Stop comparing a normal plane with that of the president. are you aware of the security on ground before his arrival Are you aware airport activities are shutdown at every airport before his arrival If it was that easy to shoot down a plane landing, am very sure Bandits and Bokoharam would have done it by now 4 Likes |

Faithful007:“The mission to buy back the anti-aircraft gun began with a handoff from a high-ranking air force intelligence officer in the capital Abuja: a black zip-up bag he said was full of 20 million Nigerian naira,” the paper reported, after stating that such military hardware in the hands of bandits “posed a threat to President Muhammadu Buhari, who had been planning to fly to his hometown about 80 miles away.” 1 Like |

Roan77: I don’t subscribe to that news definitely. But you see this Maiduguri I just feel that BH never really ready to shoot down passenger plane or God never let them think go that side. Where most of the passenger plane start descending low in Borno BH they patrol those areas wella. Sometimes 10 minutes we Dey fly low. Well May God continually guard man pikin. 11 Likes 1 Share |

SamuelAnyawu: Mehn!! Is it until the planes are shot down we then come with a contingency plan? At this point, we should be changing the course of the runway to avoid patrolling BHT's routes.. The Intelligence agencies know this, we always apply fire brigade approach to this thing's.. (Sometimes 10 minutes we Dey fly low. ) Well May God continually guard man pikin. 7 Likes |

At least 49 persons have been killed after gunmen invaded a market at Goronyo town in the Goronyo local government area of Sokoto State. One of the villagers told SaharaReporters that residents have fled the community following the insecurity in the area. He noted that gunmen rounded up villagers in the market and opened fire on them. He said: “Gunmen on Sunday evening killed at least 49 at Goronyo town of Sokoto State. “The incident happened yesterday evening on the market day of the town. The gunmen rounded up people in the market while it was full of activities and started opening fire randomly. The town is now deserted.” SaharaReporters had reported that the assailants attacked the market in large numbers on Sunday night, shooting sporadically and killing several persons. In the past two weeks, bandits have launched attacks on a village market in Sokoto. Meanwhile, some bandits operating in the Eastern Senatorial District of the state recently resorted to writing letters to reach out to families of their victims to demand ransoms. A source, who was privy to the bandits’ new antics in Sokoto, said a letter was written to a traditional ruler in Burkusuma, demanding a ransom to secure the release of 20 persons kidnapped from two communities in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area. http://saharareporters.com/2021/10/18/update-sokoto-community-deserted-bandits-open-fire-villagers-busy-market-kill-49?s=08 |

Unknown Gunmen Attack Police Station In Ebonyi, Free Inmates, Burn Operational Vehicles Attacks on police stations in the South-East region of Nigeria continued on Monday as unknown gunmen attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters situated in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. SaharaReporters gathered that the gunmen "stormed the station around 2 am, releasing all the suspects in custody in the police facility". Some operational vehicles were also set ablaze by the hoodlums while some officers escaped with bullet wounds. Other circumstances surrounding the attack, including the identities of the attackers could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report. Loveth Odah, Ebonyi State Police Command spokesperson confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters, saying the police commissioner was on his way to the scene to ascertain the level of damage. The incident is the latest in what appears to be a growing trend of attacks on police stations and security personnel in the South-East region of the country. The governors in the region recently announced the establishment of a joint security outfit, codenamed ‘Ebube Agu’ to "battle rising insecurity". http://saharareporters.com/2021/10/18/breaking-unknown-gunmen-attack-police-station-ebonyi-free-inmates-burn-operational |

Looks like they’ve drafted a full military Battalion to Maiduguri Airport. Lots of search and screening. Until we start a really massive operation like 2015. But I noticed most Soldiers here always speak about 2015 operation. It looks like it was the biggest operation in Borno state. 4 Likes |

Good evening house. A question: when did the Nigeria Prison Service implement their small arms upgrade? I ask for a reason. I was at the Federal High Court, Uyo, for a case. On leaving the courtroom, I came across 2 Prison Wardens armed with what looked like CZ 805 Brens (or AK-Alfa) assault rifles. I must say I was quite impressed. That's a nice upgrade from the old hand-me-down HK G3s from the Army. Can anyone else throw more light on this? Pic 1: Courtesy: Dragonfly Ordinance Pic 2: Courtesy: Pinterest 5 Likes

On the planned bht/iswap attcak on the NAF Base, I was already expecting them to do this, because NAF have been consistently given them a bloody nose. I rrust the leadership of the present NAF to the needful, deploy more special forces, place surveillance gadgets around the airport, be careful of suicide bombers. This time they need to be careful of surrendered BHT's 8 Likes 1 Share |

SamuelAnyawu:looks like I'll have to relay this to my boss in the NE He's an AF pilot there... Many predicted this planned attack on NAF base looks like SFs there will be tripled infact... Also yes 2015 ops was one of the biggest that period Nigerian military Special Forces did extremely well(AFSF,SBS,AirForce Special forces)operation Deep punch Gaahd 707 Special Forces along side AFSF just did wonders Towards 2016 also until they pulled them out I remembered when they were given some therapy before returning to their families Op TuratakaiBango Was when I believe if the army are ready to end this war in 1yr it's possible.. I mean I was wondering how it will be possible to clear the Alargarno(Timbuktu Triangle) After several attempts.. Also what the NASF( popularly known as the men in Black) did in Marte after COAS attahiru(RIP) order they rid the area of ISWAP in 48hrs they did it in Less... Anyways Boss keep us updated on happenings God bless 13 Likes 3 Shares |
