One thing that is very clear is that the Yoruba are the most accommodating tribe in Nigeria; no one can deny that. However, what have we got in return - hate and envy especially from the Igbos. The Hausa/Fulani are suspicious of the Youruba but they do not hate the Yoruba. The are also accommodating to the Yorubas.

The Edo/Isekiri/Urhoro are siblings to the Yorubas even though they have their own identity. The Efik/Ibibio are somewhat indifferent to the Yoruba but that is fine. The Igbos outright hate the Yoruba and it is time Yorubas become very conscious of this hatred.

Everyday they are castigating Tinubu, Fayemi and Osinbajo; and other potential Yoruba presidential candidates. The other day they were calling Yoruba women undesirable and dirty. All of them were hating on Peter Okoye for marrying a “dirty Yoruba woman” - a woman who is more educated and exposed than anyone in their generation. They insult the same Lagos where they live - why don't they just go back to Onitsha and Aba.

They insult anything Yoruba- from Anthony Joshua, Wizkid, Tiwa and everything Yoruba. These insults are not unnoticed. Yoruba will not forget and will surely retaliate!

The people employed in Lagos have their roots entirely not from any affiliated Yorubaland.
When an Hausa person wants to deceive a Yoruba man then he embraces somebody from Kwara or Kogi claiming he is in love with Yoruba people! That is a scam embarassed

Tor Tiv Appointed Chancellor Of Abia University

By
Opeyemi Kehinde
Sun Dec 23 2018

The paramount ruler of the Tiv people worldwide, Tor Tiv, Professor James Ayatse, has been appointed as Chancellor of the Abia State University, Uturu in Abia state.
Daily Trust gathered that in a letter which conveyed the appointment to the royal father, the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, stated that his consideration for the position was in appreciation of the clout and exposure of Ayatse in the country.
In a statement signed by Special Assistant to Tor Tiv on Media, Freddie Adamgbe, he indicated that the Abia governor felicitated with the monarch on behalf of the people of his state, adding that the appointment took effect from December 1st, 2018.
Similarly, the statement noted that the Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Prof Uche Ikonne, on behalf of the University Senate and indeed the entire university community expressed gratitude over the appointment.
It also emphasised that the university has reposed high confidence to benefit from Ayatse’s wealth of experience in university administration given his track records as Vice Chancellor Emeritus.
Prof Ikonne, according to the statement, disclosed that the governor and visitor to the university has approved January 19, 2019 for the 206th convocation ceremony of the institution which will start with the installation of the Tor Tiv as the new chancellor.
Responding to his appointment, the Tor Tiv expressed gratitude to the Almighty God and thanked the governor of Abia state and the university community for the recognition and honour.
Ayatse promised to use his wealth of experience and exposure in university administration as well as public service to positively affect the fortunes of the Abia institution as he added that the honour done him was to the entire Tiv populace and Benue state at large

The Igbos outright hate the Yoruba and it is time Yorubas become very conscious of this hatred.

Truth be told the hatred is a two way street! Well, let me take it back, I would not call it hatred but rather an unhealthy rivalry. This rivalry stems from the British Colonial era policy of divide and rule which, they imbibed into the consciousness of the citizens to bring suspicion and mistrust so that they can continue to loot the country. But one thing that both tribes, Igbo and Yoruba, failed to appreciate is that there are more that bind us together than separate us. Both tribes pretty much share similar values as far as education, hard-work, entrepreneurship, innovation, sense of community, personal responsibility, self reliance and empowerment are concerned. So, only those that do not understand the dynamic at play would call it hatred. As Igbos, I am certain there are aspects of us that other tribes resent and so are the Yorubas as well. There are aspects of them that other tribes detest. The major problem is that we see our differences as things to use to drive a wedge between us and demonize each other. It should not be and that's the more reason we want the disintegration of the damned country!

mehn stop it...majority of igbos don't hate yorubas. Else no igbo man will reside in lagos. Yorubas have this subtle hate for igbos having been successful in lagos. U cud attest to a video some miscreants where agitating dt igbos have bought so many lands in lagos and as such the land should be collected back. Not denying some igbos openly detest d Yorubas well u can't excuse that for the serial romancing with the North. It's like the igbos saying wake up we need u to see beyond d gimmicks we can be united and better. But no. The Hausa promise u guys power and every single thing u wish for. Well u give the hate u give cos I don't see igbos showing same to middle Beltans or Niger Deltans.

I've live all my life with yorubas to be honest I love them. Tiamiyhu and Taiwo my yoruba blood Brothers lols. No hate brother it just the way things are. U see us they hate outside nigeria. Na so northern power make am br

Though you have many LIKEs on the above comment, I will like to give you DISLIKE.
Your assumption that 'Igbos' hate Yorubas is not fair comment to those 'Igbos' who love Yorubas more than some Yorubas themselves love their Yoruba Brothers or Sisters.
It's possible you are commenting your own personal hatred towards Igbos but generalizing an entire Ethnic group as hating Yorubas is not good narrative. Let's watch what we write here.

At the bolded (which is the only interesting point out of all the gibberish you wrote) I definitely agree with you... Hausas and Yorogbas are best of mates and I think these two ethnic groups should just fu*k off and form their own nation together so that they can continue their master and slave relationship dynamics without any recourse to worry about the Igbos... The same Hausas that have been suyanizing yorroobas in Lagos and other SW cities in various ethnic clashes since the 90's, today in Lagos there are some areas which have been completely taken over by Hausas, and yoruubas can't even dare to step into those areas to cause trouble otherwise they will get it hot... remember how Hausa boys chased you pigs out of Mile 12 when your agbero's wanted to stop their dominance... Walahi yeribanzas and Hausas will definitely make a great pair, but just leave Igbos out of your husband and wife affair cause we no send una, naturally we see you lots as nothing short of irritating subhumans.
Some Igbos don't know yorubas hate Igbos more than North hate Igbos.

You are nothing but a cheaply paid BMC agent of destabilisation.

Going through your previous posts, there is nothing of intellectual value.

Only hatred against Igbos.

Almost every year the Hausas at Idiaraba have deadly fight with the Yoruba boys but a BMC bastard like you deny such because of your cheap N30k allowance.
Nowhere in Lagos have the Igbos ever gathered to fight the Yoruba physically

You are a nobody on Nairaland and a Nobody off it.
SlyDev:

You will never see the Hausa man plot against Yoruba, but you see the other people, they are plotting day and night. Most of attack on Yoruba on twitter are from igbos, then they open fake account to attack yoruba the more

You will hear: I'm Yoruba but Yoruba are this and that

I'm not ibo but Peter obi is this and that

They attack our women and call them all sort of names, I wonder a tribe of men that stomach nonsense against their women, that's Yoruba! Eeeeeeeckkkkkw

They attack our supper star, Antony Joshua was hated because he visited buhari and when he lost, they said unprintable names about him.

What amuse me is that, not only Ibos do this, some other minor tribes join Ibos, tribe that are shit compare to Yoruba, but what did Yoruba do in return laugh with stupid emoji. Theze small tribe no fit try the nonsense with ibo without getting smoked. But na Yoruba I blame

If they are not destroying Tinubu, they are clapping for those abusing our women, or singing praises of those disrespecting our food and culture.

I Dey joke when I talk say ibo no go anywhere but I swear I want them out of Yoruba land and make we divide!
