Matheusmartin:Stop displaying your illiteracy for the world to see. He didn't graduate from Benin. Moreover most students and graduates from Benin are far better and doing far well in the society than your family can ever imagine. Nobody is the cause of your misfortune and frustrations. |

Angelfrost: I'm not usually one to defend the nonsense that happens in Nigeria and I did not intend to insult you (I apologize) but plase show me a Nigerian trained doctor who does not know what an obstetrician is.... Just because a country has a better overall healthcase system does not mean that there will not be cracks in that system. |

mmsen: Your position is deeply and laughably flawed... Are you saying the instance above doesn't or has never occured with graduates from Nigerian schools or even American or other nations?!! The question yet persists for the sake of academics.... Where is it documented that Romania produces quacks?!! 2 Likes |

This is not a typical Nigerian Doctor. imagine someone had his medical degree at Romania and may be Born and raised not in Nigeria but you are addressing him as Nigerian doctor. media is full of hoaxes but, we beliefs in our doctors and they can excel in any part of this world. |

mmsen: Can you see that I never said anything different from the bold above?!! I did clearly state that quacks exist in nearly every profession, and even in the most developed of nations. So, why tar the entire Romania with such stain all because of the failings of a single individual?!! Why put the quality of education from an entire nation into question all because a graduate has issues?!! Finally, how can I show you 1 poorly trained doctor in Nigeria when I have no record of every single one of them?!!... Can you see that my dispute here is nothing but the use of generalizations and stereotype?!! Thank you. |

Basic reason why many of our students go to these schools is simple... At the end of the day, we don't have enough spaces for students wanting to read medicine in Nigeria. Schools have to admit a set target from JAMB, and going above that target would get you sanctions. So many go abroad and while some end up in 'good' schools, some go to 'questionable' schools in Eastern Europe and the Carribean. At the end of the day, we have to build more universities and train more academics for them 1 Like |

Racoon:. I think what they give them there is auxiliary nursing training, and it's even bought with expensive$€£. And you go dey hear, my son/daughter was trained abroad. They fail simple tests organised by MDCN and their influential parents will petition national assembly that they were being discriminated against |

His village people have followed him to the place. Africa vodoo at work in his life, who no go no know, if you know, you know. What he needs is deliverance in mountain of fire prayer city. This guy might be very intelligent, this is what the demons in Nigeria can cause, is either is an idol, ancestral powers or marine powers, those powers are very active abroad, because nobody is praying against them there. If leave these demons, they will appear live. He should go and pray. |

While others are ranting about the quack doctor. I can see a country that runs short of supply of well experienced doctors. I like that country Ireland, they always run short of supply of valuable employees. I need to enter there let me pack all their money since their citizens are lazily depending on unemployement package. |

chukzyfcbb: The main reason why Ireland...and the UK are running short of doctors has to do with 1.Limited training spaces.(UK has that problem)...infact many students from Ireland go aboard to study. Including ironically, the same Eastern Europe. 2.Very high entrance standards (they may not look at you unless you have something like 3 A stars at A level) |

Francis Megwa and his crew (Gucci, Ogbonna etc) were very unserious students in school. They were the big boys, always clubbing and never attended classes, that's the only reason he would not be able to tell who an obstetrician is. They flexed all through medical school and while Gucci ventured out of medicine after graduation into business because he was from a very rich home, the others tried to catch up. Some of them were lucky to find themselves in hospitals that took their time to retrain them but obviously Francis was unlucky. Though not surprised because he was Gucci's right handman. So, they were never in school but Gucci was rich enough to sort their way through. I guess he just needed the doctor title attached to his name. Romania wasn't in anyway racist to her international medical students, everyone had access to patients and were allowed to touch patients. You just had to be able to speak the language with the patients, which was taught in the first 2yrs. Many IMG from Romania went to same Ireland, UK, Germany and USA and they're very good doctors. There are unserious people in all fields and in all countries. It has nothing to do with any particular country. Francis I'm really sorry you had to go through this painful and regrettable path. May God see you through this phase and guide you in His best path for you. 3 Likes 1 Share |
