Good to see doge finally show signs...
Most of my shib profits went here and I accumulated a huge chunk between 0.2 and 0.25...

Most whi missed doge last time rushed into it early and were disappointed when it didn't move....

Looking at the weekly chart, there's good room to the upside... My initial tp would have been 0.32 but with such long consolidation, I'd let it be till at least 0.6 and re-evaluate.

The monthly chart (2nd) has left me suspect for a while.... Don't like the arrowed candle it had in may... But these neme coyns do their thing

Hi Jedisco. I'm a fan. You doing good work. Keep it up bro.

So, I am here to ask about your Shiba. You bought yours back when the price was like really low. I would had followed you then but I was broke. But I bought some at 3800.

Now, how long do you think this Shiba Inu run will last and have you taken profit or holding for the long term? Like would it be wise to take profit now or wait for another zero to be cancelled? To me, Shiba shows great promise, but even more importantly has lotsa fanatical Shiba Army fanboys who are prepared for war and willing to sell their kidneys to buy more Shiba Inu. grin

Plus, are there some promising shitcoins on your radar? smiley
jedisco:
Shibs run has been crazy... I'd be taking a huge chunk off at 0.85

jedisco:

When splitting my portfolio, I targeted an x10 from shib over this run... Just didn't know it'd come this quick..... I haven't got an x10 yet as I played within the range too much but could still eck it out ...

It's rally has had some similarities with doge during the last run....
Doge first move was from 0.0045 to 0.015, consolidated a bit then moved to 0.088, then a longer bit before it rallied to 0.45 and finally to 0.75...
Shib hasn't followed same exact pattern but there's been some similarities

That's one reason why I took significant portion off at 0.85. Sellers turning up at exactly 0.88 confirms that area to be a level of interest. I'd either ride the rest or get stopped out.

For folks who'd ask where the top is, that's for each to decide. I take profits where I see fit..... Irrespective of the top now, it does still have a run left in it sometime in future

One thing to remember is that as the market cap increases, multiple upside moves will be harder as it requires much more volume...

Made these posts on the other thread...hope u took profits b4 the selloff...

On shitc0ins, I dont trade many I select one or two that work for me and stick to them....

Other coyns I trade have been discussed here... One should be able to eck a 2.4 out of matic soon. Sol at 180 -150 is a good entry too

Its just as if you read my mind in this point 1 and 2 you wrote but my major problem is I don't know how to target when a coin is at the top or when its at his lows, if one can successfully execute it perfectly , the total volume of ones coin will increase so much , any way you use to know the top and bottom ? thanks
jedisco:
For now, my focus on coins I hold is split into two
1. To earn passive income on them by by staking some portion
2. To increase the absolute numbers of the coyn I hold... Not so bothered about the dollar value now.... So what I do is target local tops to sell and buy back lower so as to increase my stash...

If things go according to plan and we have another rally, in the next 3- 6 months, I'd switch my pattern towards taking profits off rallies/closing my positions and putting them into other things outside Crypt0 or staking stables for rewards...
Simply put, that's my trading plan for the next 6 months - 1 year

Well ,im not a genius in cryptocurrency yet, but it won't make sense me just taking from this group and not add anything in return, one Tree doesn't make a forest, thanks to @jedisco for all the important information he has dropped so far , well let me drop mine.

Well I'm a long term holder in the crypto world, my plan is 5years minimum holding period
So far I'm not good in selling at the top or buying at the bottom, this what I do , whenever I see a coin is at a price that I know its a bargain, I keep on buying, there was a time like last 2month Matic was selling at 0.9$, opportunities like these present itself so many times ,if I decide to sell it now ,have already made 100% profit.

Also the most important advise, if you read about all the shwred investors and the richest ones,eg Warren Buffet , JP Getty and there was one I came across yesterday Carl Ichan, they are all worth billions of dollars, they always say "Invest when others are fearful in the market , sell when others are getting greedy"always follow this maxim you will make money doing so

There are some coins that their prices are very affordable and also the most important information they are solving a very important problem in the blockchain ecosystem, before you buy any coin, always ask yourself, what problem does this coin solve? will it be relevant in 5 years time? if a coin is relevant and solves a problem the value will naturally increase . Examples of these coins are :OLT,TRUFI

i dedicate this post to @Jedisco,I don't often share idea this long but he inspired me to share my own little knowledge,

P.S This not a financial advise

It's a fine balance but goes both ways....

If my coins are on an exchange and there's a good rate on a flexible stake then I'd go for it. With flexible staking, you can redeem your coins anytime... Some exchanges offer >10% on flexible staking..

Usually, I use flexible staking or short term fixed staking... Given that I trade mainly majors, even when they pump, they hold structure for a while giving one room to take profits if needed...

But in all, I also tend not to overtrade once bitc0in establishes a pattern as most tend yo short-change themselves... E.g, if bitc0in makes a new ATH, there's a good chance I'd stake about 50% of my coins on exchanges for 3 months. Almost always, by riding the macro moves, you'd make more than thise who think they're day trading

Lastly, I also use staking stables to protect profits... When I catch a huge move on a coin, the temptation is to feel overconfident in the coming days and make wrong decisions mostly resulting in good loses. Currently, I just stake a part of my conquered loot even if its for a week until the market rejigs
Pls which apps are you using for staking?

No one can so no need trying... Charts, indicators e.t.c can serve as a guide but no need tryna time the top... and frankly, you don't need to sell the top or buy the bottom to make good money from crypt0....

My focus is on fine-tuning when are generally good times in the market to buy and good times to take profits... I do both in stages

A number...

Centralised exchanges such as binaz if the rates nd terms are good...

Decentralised options such as aave for some projects too...

I look at a number of things.... For erc20 tokens where the transaction fee is high, I don't move them as much...

A while ago... I bought some micros with a target of 2-3x in the short term... Gladly, some have started yeilding fruit... They were keep, nkn, mana, perl, beam, ckb, blz

Keep did a 2.5x from entry...
Mana is now on the move... Will look to to at close to 1.5 and hopefully buy back lowe or add if it flips ATH

Going forward, I'm not keen on extending into other micros yet... But just compounding on chosen coyns...

For coyns which have pumped, I'd double my initial entry position on a retrace and target another 2-3x

Doge.... Had a high volume breakout on the daily.... Now retracing... Good chance it holds the 4hrly support and pushes up.

Not adding more as I loaded up at 0.2- 0.25

Re: Investing In Digital Currencies; Looking At The Bigger Picture by jedisco(m): 12:47pm On Oct 30, 2021
A common mistake people make in trading is selling the winner to buy the looser. There's a fine line between this and trying to maximize your position in the winner by exploiting lagging coins.

When a coyn pumps... Folks go chasing similar coyns hoping to catch the next big thing... Most times, it doesn't work as well as what they're doing is practically selling the winner to buy the loser... I've made this mistake before.

If you caught a rally on a coyn early, it's usually better taking profits and maximizing your position in same coyn rather than spreading your portfolio thin over numerous similar coyns hoping that one would pop as well.

Good example is the recent pump by shib... Naturally, people who missed the rally would look for similar coyns to ape into.... In crypt0, it's unusual to have multiple winners... A few tokens usually win...

In summary, if you caught shib, then u understand the coyn well nd might be worth maximizing it... If you didn't and looking for similar coyns, then it's worth getting into them early..

Mana is a metaverse crypto that's why it is pumping atm. Can you share your thoughts on the Metaverse ecosystem/space?

If I do, it'd still be to tge initial coyns I posted abv (keep, nkn, mana, perl, beam, ckb, blz )... Micros are tricky... All one can do is buy at a good time and wait for the pump...

Others I'm more keen on are Chiliz and tfuel as they look more ready to breakout...

All said, I don't want to spread myself thin by buying too many stuff....

Its gathering hype moreso with Facebook talk...aside that, i don't know much about the space...
If the liquidity flows there, I'd look to make some quick bucks too...
If I knew the pop was meta linked, I'd have not sold my stash early

I've had a scan thru some metaverse linked tokens... Most have followed mana.... Only one yet to pop is axs.... But that coyns has gone from 2 dolls to 150 dolls in a few weeks... Thats surreal...

Nope.... While I was waiting for a entry at a rerest, to coyn took off like a rocket
.
If it retraces to 0.4, I'd get a position which I'd hold unto for a while..

Thing to note is that most sport tokens are built on chz... And most have been bleeding for weeks... A chz rally might just awaken the dead

Just got some wrx.. looking at it to be a longer-term hold.. it's been consolidating between 1 and 1.4 for some weeks now... If it dips closer to 1, I'd add up

It's a kind of coyn that moves overnight... It was one of the late movers in may... So it may still have some consolidating to do... Either way, I'm locked in

Wow, I didn't even know that ordinary people could actually make money by trading cryptocurrency. I mean, I tried to do that, but it was too complicated. It's still pretty interesting for me, but I know that I'd never try it again. My maximum is buying NFTs, and I just bought one from myimpactpower. I think it's easier to just buy a token and wait for it to grow over time, but trading requires you to check the exchange rates every day, and you need to analyze when it's the best time to sell or buy something.

Took a position on this at 0.4... usually, I don't trade to catch the bottom but it does feel good to snipe the bottom/top from time to time...

Over the next 1-2 weeks, I'd look to get dome exposure to sport tokens... Currently looking at psg and juv..... Not decided yet.

Also got dome wrx at 1.4 which looks to have held

On majors.....

Good to see bnb follow eith a d go for its ATH... Bnb is one of my exchange toke9of choice. It usually respects structure and I expect itd consolidate around its ATH and possibly pullback to 500.

Dot on the other hand looks more bullish.... Currently at ATH... It's consolidated enough to breakout from this range... Would be glorious if it could pull a SOL

XRP.... At this moment seems to be the only lagging major... I know the uncertainty around the lawsuit has depressed prices.... But with other majors gunning for ATH, if the lawsuit goes its way, it should get to 2 dolls very quickly

For now I only one long term bag which is $KYL.

My definition of a long term is something I can hold if capitulation comes today and even buy more like I did SOL.

An advise for long term is don’t go all in, it allows you to be able to keep your mind sane and buy more when capitulation comes.

My buying rule for my solid long term micro bag is to buy every 50% dip.

I have succeeded a lot but I have also failed, most notably was my SLIM failure (lessons were taken and shared here)

To hold long term is harder than you think and with zero risk management - impossible!

I bought slim and told myself I would hold it long term, when capitulation came, yours faithfully sold.

Long term no be mouth!

I nor be anybody mate sha

$KYL journey to $100 just began.

Alot of people including yours truly do struggle with the market volatility... But if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, one begins to see clear actionable trends.
Day trading is tricky... I don't do it as its too emotional and takes my view off what truly matters....
But it's interesting you're buying nfts if you struggled eith regular coyns... How do you valuate your nfts
