Business that brings daily money.

Example 1: food business. 10 million can make u an owner of a fancy fast food restaurant . People must eat everyday, they put in their stomach infrastructure first before clothes, shoes etc it's daily money. You will also be an employer of labour with everyone answering you 'yes sir' and your wife 'yes ma' if you want to make more profits then dedicate time for the business and deal directly with d financial aspect of the business, that way your sales girls won't rip you off. Whatever happens u must recover your capital within a year or two no matter d location. If you can site it in a student environment (I mean a town with university or college of education), then it's blood money for y
Oga,make I hear word. It's easier typed than done. If u like invest 50 million if your business is situated in a wrong environment you are as good as dead.
I have seen food eateries that packed up because of poor patronage.

Good Morning Nairalanders..............

At times in Life, one need to reflect on some things that has happened. The ability for you to move on is what matters most.
This Brings us to the topic of Discussion,.
Which Business Did you regret starting because it ended up in a huge loss.

let me start,

I Purchased a Pup Caucasian Male and Female sometimes 2019, (N300,000). I had the intention of breeding them for reproduction., No matter how hard the male Cauc KNACK the female, she wont just take in., i took the female Cauc to another dog for KNACKING, still she did'nt take in., las las ehn, na inside pepper soup she ended.

The male Cauc is still here Gallant and serving as security.

Lets hear from you Guys, which business did you regret starting because it didn't yield much profit as anticipated.

Hi op. Why don't you use the male cauc as a stud to mate with other female dogs?

If the male cauc is even half-pure you can cross with other female caucs and make both money&puppies from the mating.

Pls do reply.
Thanx!

I have read through the pages & commented where necessary. Time to summarize my very own sour experience.

We were operating our mini Shawarma spot, natural juice & a popular brand of yoghurt outlet with very promising patronages though not perfect.

Not until the property owner came & said he want to rebuild the place so we were asked to move out.

Rewind to a certain time that I was so hungry so I asked the boy assisting me in the shop where I could get good food around.

He got me the food & I was so impressed with the taste & all so I asked him where he bought it & he described.

So one day I went to buy food at the place myself. Mind u this is a place where I have been operating my business ,I also live not to far from there infact I have been to that compound b4 to patronise a cyber cafe not knowing anything like a food canteen existed.

So on getting there that day to buy food ,I was like madam how long have u been here, she was like over 2 years now. I just told here that how come I never noticed your presence here?

Fastward out of desperation I went to meet her after about 2 weeks that I wouldn't mind if I could get small space to operate my shawarma business.

Beloved, after spending 6 months there ,there was nothing to show for it as there was little or no patronage. The almost 200k spent for payment of space & also putting one or two things in place just got wasted.

I was into Beans flour and plantain flour Productions respectively, but the aftermath of the EndSARS protest changed the whole narrative for me, particularly in affording the raw materials for production. Many credit sales, and nothing to show for it today, and now, I've closed down the process, what used to be the talk of the people.
A bag of beans Rose from 35k - 40k - 49k - 55k - 60k - 70k, and the price of a bunch of plantain Rose to 7k per bunch. I had to run for my dear life, cuz it was way beyond what I can manage to operate with, and the worse part is that the customers will never listen to you when there's increment, until then, they will tell you, if you don't want to sell, you should keep it now.

My products stood out amongst major companies within, cuz of it's unadulterated nature and zero preservatives, but it's no more today.

How I wish there's someone, who is willing to partner with me, or willing to tap into the business, with my knowledge, we can do a great job.

You can bring up a proposal, send it to 'uthmaanmuhammed@gmail.com'

The story is best experienced than told. When abokis are involved, the business is more of a loss.

sorry about your experience. Being with a food seller isn’t a great idea. How much is a plate of food and how much is a wrap of shawarma? How much is her bottle of soft drink and how much is your bottle of juice and yoghurt? It will be very easy for people to patronize her than you. You should have considered that. Most people buy shawarma out of convenience and others do because there’s no food around and it’s a better alternative.

Just negodu the businesses you are suggesting and you are the one who believes with 10 million, you will never be poor again? Such simplistic analysis.

Why should anyone leave the eatery they are already patronising for yours? How are you going to get premium space? Or you think landing a restaurant in any old place in a student environment would give you returns? And only foolish people go into business in order to get yes sir/yes ma.

It is also obvious you have not done transport business before. Or indeed any business (hence your idealistic analysis).

For all intending entrepreneurs, successful businesses are not based on how much money you have per se or business ideas you see on the internet. Successful businesses are based on exploiting GAPS in the market. A need or want in the market. A market that's not being served WELL ENOUGH. A loophole that existing businesses are not exploiting. A more efficient business process for certain things. A new product others don't have.

Not use 10 million and open a restaurant, hoping on vibes and Insha Allah in order to succeed.

Wise Man
Any business that is not built on this principle won't achieve consistent positive results on a long run

Lol
I understand your analysis
That's why I said you get
First grade tukunbo vehicle
You dont use half dead vehicles (typical of most Nigerian used cars as a result of poor maintenance) for transportation business and expect to make profit. You would only be working for your mechanic.
If you load at the part @2500 per passenger, you re paying 2500 (one passenger's money) not two passengers(this shows you re not into the business nor have u ever been in it), it's one passenger's money everywhere you have a sienna or a bus, that's why it's advisable you own a bus since it capable of conveying more passengers than a sienna. all that I have added to expenses. why would u even mention Union due/registration fee as part of the factors that affects profit, something you do once in a blue moon?... 10k fuel will serve you day (in the absence of traffic/holdup)

Bro you don’t need to proof anything anymore some ppl are bent on discouraging people cos they fail in their field doesn’t mean others will fail too kudos to you bros
