Good day everyone.
The purpose of this thread or forum is to help people with information on how to go about their application but some people have chosen to take away and not give back which is wrong. This is the mindset we Nigerians export to Canada and whereby we hoard information from our fellow Nigerians to climb the ladder in the country. Later we start ranting that the Indians and Asians are very connected that they share informations within the speed of light with each other but we on the hand hoard informations.... Brampton has as an higher amount of Nigerians in Ontario but Most Nigerians there lack unity whereby they hoard informations from each other. We need to stop this attitude of information hoarding....
There's nothing bad in sharing your timeline and what you did differently in your application....

God Bless us all and May he grant us our heart desires

Good for you. As I download epistle, you sef upload your own as per?
Look fam there's nothing wrong with the critique. She said it was wrong and it was!. Dem no abuse am. The truth was just stated. You said said she didn't proffer solution? Did you even read what??... NVM. No vex ehn anything you say goes. Mafejopami. Sheybi na politeness and respect you wan chop. Take it no vex sir.
ForevaTT:
FYI, I was a silent reader but came back on this platform after receiving my PPR to drop my timeline. I don't say much but everyone that's reached out privately , I have helped ....till this day!

So its not about the epistle you downloaded here, its about treating people right. There's no point in starting a sentence by criticizing because someone didn't come back to drop a timeline at your preferred time! As stated in your emotional write up, your friend complained and castigated.

Her criticism wasn't followed up with a solution BTW cos she gave her opinion and still referred the person to the gurus. Why not also wait for the "gurus" to castigate ? lol

Capeesh?

I'm not sure if you're an admin, but even if you are, why would you make such a snap judgment about someone you've never met?
There's no rule dictating that you have to return right away, or at all to "testify".
Let's not forget that what someone submitted to get a PPR does not guarantee the same approval for another person.

If no rules were broken, feel free to express your thoughts pertaining to his/her question without passing judgment.

Well, bro/sis is a democratic platform ( If I can use that term), so you're free to say such. When I joined this thread, I thanked God that people who got it before me never left but were still around to share their timelines and what they did different, which helped me to apply once and get it.. (yes getting it at the first attempt is pure God, but then, I learned a lot as well).

Now imagine all those who got it at the beginning of the thread left ( considering no one is mandated to share), would you and I be here to learn? I want you to take a stroll to SPOUSE OPEN WORK PERMIT THREAD and see for yourself the effect of GETTING PPR AND NEVER RETURNED TO SHARE AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS. That particular thread is as good as dead and non-existing.

So my bro/sis. is not by bolding your point, but by the conscience of coming back to share so that other newbies can learn as well. the mammoth crowd of those realizing the chance of migrating through the study route is increasing as days go by. So they need us, old applicants who were there before them to learn and be guided.

Peace. I'm not an admin though

May God cover all our mistakes and point out the efforts and strength put together on our application to the visa officer

It will end in praise and the joy of PPR will go round grin cheesy

Sincerely, I do not think there is any such thing as already designed SOP and LOE on a case by case. Your SOP is personal to you so you are the only one that can write it. Someone even posted a sample in some posts before yours and also supported by Jay's input. Get the template and develop your own to address what information you need to pass to the VO. You can then private chat anyone you think that can help you to request for a review...

All the best

Please does any one have sample of strong SOP and letter of Explanations for someone that has express entry profile and masters and wants to do a graduation certificate course for 2 years in Canada. Please I am a first time applicant in Canada.

Please kindly help send the sample to gabustella@gmail.com .

Thank you

Something can help you do this calculation. Check Airbnb for the possible rent for 3 months, then do a rough estimate of food , transportation , and a lil miscellaneous for personal needs for at least 3 months. That would give an idea of how much to have that can sustain him till he gets a job..

All the best

Sorry dear. Did you try to create a new GCkey for this submission? I think at this point, you need to sit with someone to help out with this. Are you in PH, maybe I can help?

If you go ahead with same school, all you will need to do is to update IRCC with your new LOA but if you change DLI, then you will need to re apply for your study permit. Please read the below link for better guidance from IRCC website...

Grazat2021:
Thank you all so much for this thread, it has been so informative. I got my PPR last week, glory be to God.

But it's coming after my admission has expired as they refused to defer to January but asked I reapply for Fall,2022. It was so painful, as I have to start over with application for admissions. But God knows best.

Here is my question, my former program was a 1 year master, but the school I'm seeing now for a similar program for Summer, 2022 is 2 years masters. My concern, what should I do? Get the offer and update IRCC by raising a webform? Will it make any difference, I'm asking if I will be given 2 years study permit? Or will it be risky to do, will I loose my Visa approval as this program is 2 years and my financial statement was for the 1 year program. Or what will you advice I do? I need your URGENT RESPONSES PLEASE. Thank you.

Hello Sayittome,

I can see you're so much concerned about getting a job and finance once in Canada. In fact, all international applicants worry about that a lot.

Now personally, the way I advise people as I was advised and based and in addition to what PapaObi said. Canada is a country where provinces have their minimum wages. as a student, you're permitted to work 20hrs/week

Now moving to Canada as an international student, please try and have money that can help you pay between three to 4 months of your stay once you get to Canada. The reason is that you will need the first three months to balance and put school stuff in place, get accommodation and all that. mind you getting a job first three months isn't that easy as a newcomer who doesn't know around yet. but that doesn't mean you cant oo. a lot has gotten it so you can if you try.

Then as per making money, for example, a student in Saskatchewan works 20hr/week(Minimum wage). so d the calculation and know the least amount to make in a month. then considering your living expenses lifestyle, you do the rest of the maths.

on a lighter note. try pack enough foodstuffs that can last long for you ooo lol

(20x11.81)4 = 944.8/month

Lekiboboe:

Hi honorable,

Unfortunately, you can't go for a MASTERS in a program (I.T) you have no academic background in cos your academic transcript will say much about your POLITICAL SCIENCE degree.

Also your CGPA is insufficient for a Masters in Canada. Your admission chances for a Masters degree is slim for the above CGPA cos Canadian Universities requires a minimum of 2.1 and a strong GPA of the last two years (75%) upward e.g your 400L and 500L (5 years Undergraduate degree) or 300 L and 400 L (4 years Undergraduate degree)

If you want to convince a Visa Officer with your study visa application in terms of CAREER PROGRESSION, you are expected to go for a PG.Cert program related to your degree (if its not too long you graduated from the university, at least a minimum of 3-years)

or

a PG.CERT program related to your Work Experience

Based on your POLITICAL SCIENCE DEGREE, you might want to go through the following PG. Cert programs and see how it relates to your degree

PG. Cert, Alternative Dispute Resolution
Humber College, Ontario

PG. Cert in Journalism (International Journalism) an option for a POLITICAL SCIENCE, HISTORY & INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE

PG. Cert in Public Relations
https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/399#103890193

PG. CERT, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
Humber College, Ontario

Good luck!!!

Hi everyone, in a first-timer with Canada admission and I need guidance.
I graduated in 2015, studied microbiology GPA is 2:1.

1. Looking at the study gap can I go for a masters program or PGD in Masters of business administration.

2. I have 2 years of working experience in a customer service representative.

3. Is it advisable to go for a master program I have no work experience?

Thanks as I wait for responses.

Have you tried again, refresh the page and reenter the details. It did so mine too, though I called them at the point when they updated to have handed over the passport to DHL and DHL said they haven't picked up but DHL later updated the same evening.

I understand the anxiousness but it will be processed and sent back.

Na VFS, At first it was saying processed passport has been dispatched to Canada Visa Office...now, it's NO RECORD FOUND.

Hello Fola,

SOP is a document to show your purpose of visit in Canada, through this document, you will let the Visa Officer know your reason for the Visit and also some important information like your budget, the duration of your Visit, what's your visit for, is it for conference, tourism, e.t.c.

its possible you get your Visa without an SOP, but SOP is necessary,
Peeps that have gotten a Visit Visa in the past can share more info. on this..

Peace

Foladimejiw:
Hello makano,
Is SOP needed when applying for visit visa when the person inviting has already written invitation letter?
Your response is very important.
