Some months ago Awoniyi was not even in Rohr plan even CAR invitation was due to injury to a player and opportunity he got against CAR was due to Onuachu injury.

But now it is Osimehn,Onuachu,Ighalo,Awoniyi and Moffi in pecking order.
Sir, pecking order na Ighalo, Osimehn, Onuachu, Moffi and Awoniyi

Even Rasford, Sancho, and Greenwood were benched for Ronaldo and Cavani.
What's the big deal in having Iggy back.
It's not like Moffi or Awoniyi has scored any important goal for us in recent memory.
Awoniyi missed 2 sitters on debut while Moffi missed a 1-1 2 days ago.
In case Oshimen gets injured, can anyone sincerely trust any of those young strikers to lead the line against Morrocco, Algeria, Ivory coast, etc?
Put emotion aside, Iggy is needed 100%.
Islamini and Aboubakar are well over 30 years and still balling for their respective countries.
Andrew Ayew is playing in Saudi Arabia. Gyan was playing in Saudi Arabia when he was balling for Ghana.
You want Nwakeame to be recalled but not Iggy! Hypocrite!
My only problem with Rohr is calling up Shehu and Musa ahead of Dennis, and Bassey/Ebuehi.

How Ighalo's Return To The Super Eagles Of Nigeria Is A Good Development
Interestinggist

The return of Odion Ighalo to the Super Eagles ahead of the games between Liberia and Cape Verde has been one of the talking points in the Nigerian football lately. The former Manchester United player has been called back to the Super Eagles Of Nigeria after he retired from the Super Eagles after the 2019 African Cup Of Nations.

The return of Ighalo is a good development for the Super Eagles because of the following reasons.

1. The Super Eagles need experienced players who could be leaders on the pitch; the Super Eagles players are very young and energetic. But most of them lack the experience to make enough impacts in games. The presence of Ighalo will be assistance to the team's captain, Ahmed Musa. Scoring goals and coordinating players on the pitch are some of his duties in these games.

2. The presence of Ighalo is a call for Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuacho to step up their games; Ighalo was the number one choice striker for Gernot Rohr before his retirement, he is likely to be the same this time. This means that both Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuacho will work hard to have more playing time. This is certainly what the Super Eagles need right now.

Victor Osimhen is good and at the same time he needs more reasons to work harder for the team. He knows that Ighalo could relegate him to the bench if he doesn't play better than he has been doing.

3. Ighalo has fear factor; Odion Ighalo is 32 years old, but he is still scoring the goals in China; defenders will be on their toes seeing that Ighalo is running towards them. This is fear factor. Some big name players like Ronaldo, Mohammed Salah, Lewandowski and others have this fear factor as well, and it works for their team.

With Ighalo upfront, the team will be more confident about scoring goals.

What do you think about Ighalo's return to the Super Eagles team?

You made good points bro. But I think folks are more upset about the fact that Rohr ignored in- form Awoniyi while dead legs like Shehu, Simon and Musa got the nod.

Ighalo won't be around for long, but Awoniyi is a long term prospect and a very big potential. Ignoring him at this point is surely a wrong move and it might dent the guy's hopes and confidence.

I am bewildered by the assertion you have given.

Let me ask do you mean in the world or just in Africa and even then it's still over stated.

Or better still substantiate your position in with facts and not just opinion birthed from yourself in and see others.

AFCON 2022

Is not too far away, will it take place in January disrupting the football calendar of the European leagues.

And in Cameroon struggling to contain its own bloody existential threat from within and outside. Will it be safe and politically wise to hold it there.

Nwakali starts from a striker's/SS position. Very interesting because I have always thought Nwakali is most dangerous around the 18yrd box than in CM, where they often plays him. The coach has probably found out what a great addition he would be in the attack.

He could actually be more effective than Kelechi when it relates to passes and definitely dribbling and keeping the call while carrying teammates along. Free kick nko , those beautiful volley nko. God is your strength

Wait oh, Rohr dey consult people at the top before making decisions during match time?

If you watch Elegbede TV interview, see wetin Rorh talk:

"We wanted to bring Alex Iwobi for Ahmed Musa if I remember well and then our people from high said they are afraid of Ahmed Musa and it was perhaps right.

Why did Rohr invite Ighalo? Because the younger ones are yet to convince Rohr. I have said this over and over again Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco are ranked above us a good number of their players are plying their trade in the middle east. You guys should stop myopic analysis. Football doesn't start and end in Europe

Ighalo must wear it and play sef. We can't waste tax payers money to bring someone from Saudi to come and sit on the bench or claim that he was disrespected.

We only have one real striker that can compete with the rest of d top strikers in d world.

We have strikers scoring goals every week doesn't mean they r better than other top strikers.
We r not even in top 5.

We only have osimhen and iheanacho to present for now,
d rest r normal strikers, they can become top strikers tomorrow, but 4 now, thty r average or little bit above average, which is ok 4 us
