Good afternoon and happy sunday nairalanders, please my broilers have been sick for the past few days, I contacted the man that I bought them from, who also serve as a vet. doctor. He vaccinated them 2 days ago and assured me that they would be okay, I didn't doubt him because he was the one that vaccinated the ones that I raised last year and they were okay.
But my fear now is that since the past few days (Friday to be precise) that they've been vaccinated, there seems to be no improvement, infact they are getting worst.
Please house, what else do you think i should do? Thanks.

This needs urgent front page attention pleeaasseee.

Google the topic... it will direct you to the topic in NL. There is no better advice you will get on this topic. Thank me later.

Post their age, picture of their environment and droppings. Also, let us know the drugs administered earlier.

What you want me to tell her na, everyone already got used to saying die like chicken so I can't say they die like flies, when those broilers want to die ba, flies will sit back and take a lesson, those creature can be fragile, heat they die, cold they die, water no dey, they die water come day too much they die, feed no dey, they die, food come too much they still die, those creatures are one of a kind
lmao, I'm surprised the ones here are still doing okay despite the fact I unintentionally 'starve' them of water sometimes

Get Gombo ND. It is effective in treating gomboro disease and Newcastle disease. Your chicks might be suffering from those diseases. Vaccination supposed to have been done before the outbreak. Now that they are affected, no point vaccinating them, but rather controlling. That's why I recommend Gombo ND. And also add Tetracin, Amprocol and Vitalyte.

I wish your chicks speedy recovery.

I don't know if it still works

In 2009, when I expressed the same issue, I was advised to add marijuana to the fouls' drinking water. This increased the intake of feed but it worked

You can try it

And also the kinda of drugs and vaccine that was administered already
I'm so sorry that I'm replying this late, they are 7-8 weeks old, and as regards their droppings, they are normal, not watery.

Symptoms?

Re: How Do I Treat My Sick Broilers? Help A Brother by Stoglins12(op): 9:34pm On Nov 02, 2021
AlexBells:
What symptoms are they showing not, all sicknesses needs vaccine besides how do you vaccinate them when they are already sick.

It might be a little late already, though some would still get the immune booster from the vaccine but vaccines needs time to work so you need to complement it with some more drugs

Next time disinfect your farms becuase some bacterial are left off from last time and also vaccinate on time, and if they already started symtoms do give them supportive drugs until the vaccine could be effective

Broiler business is not for the faint of heart, sometimes you would do everything, yet they die like chicken, now you get that statement, not funny though
Thanks bro

I doubt the man is a certified vet, one of the most important things to note in poultry is not to vaccinate a sick bird.

What symptoms are they showing, also how do there poops look like?
They have normal droppings but feeling weak, sleepy and can't eat much.

You should have first treated your birds before vaccinating them.

Now just go to a vet shop, with your bird either dead or alive and explain the symptoms you see, they will give you some good medications.

bros, that is how I treat my fowl
Alright bro, thanks.

Lolz.... I understand you bro but it's not a make up story because I don't have time that I can waste to start making up something that won't benefit my life, just that I've been so busy, I didn't come online since yesterday, I just logged in this night to see people's comment. I will surely send their pictures tomorrow. Thanks.

Don't worry they would be fine, if they are not too down just carefully without much stress separate the once that are fragile from the ones that are seemingly healthy that's if you have enough space or if you have not separate them already so that the weaker ones don't have to struggle for feed, air and water just be strong that business is not for the faint of heart

Lol, I had earlier started campaign with my group to reach food sufficiency in Igboland, the fact is that Nigeria is not one country or at most there is serious inferiority complex and the Igbos are the only people who believe in Nigeria,

The North are only here cause they have no access to the sea and the west cause they are scared of leaving and they want all their territories.

As an Igbo and Easterner, I'm a Biafran but I don't quite support the confrontational approach especially when we can't feed ourselves and the North and West knowing that we are not one country always hurt us with food blockade so I took out time to learn about farming, in fact I figured out everything that I had learnt in the past all shapes me into the man I'm becoming maybe a better follower or a leader;

I love politics and I also take private Military classes so you see, everything point to getting ready for life's calling, I believe in a united Nigeria however not a believer in one Nigeria, you might wonder what's the difference,

Unity is respecting that you are different and accepting that every party is important. One Nigeria is a lie so that's why you find me fighting in Biafran threads, if unity or oneness seems so costly then we should figure out a way to devolve or divide.
