She Was Deceived Into Prostitution Abroad. by Kaynnedy(m): 1:24pm On Nov 04, 2021
Good afternoon House.

Someone told my sister that there was a connection for a sales rep. Job in UAE, since she's yet to get a job after her NYSC, (you know how tough Nigeria is now. But it will require her to pay some money for her visa, flight ticket and other necessary documents, but my sister told her that she currently don't have money to process any international papers.

After much discussion this lady told my sister not to worry that all documentations including flight ticket will be paid for her but on a commission fee when she arrived her destination and upon resuming work in UAE, a percentage of her salary will be remitted to them until she pays up the debt incurred.

This was two months ago precisely August. Now fast forward to yesterday 3rd November 2021, I got a WhatsApp message from my sister telling me that she was being forced into prostitution upon arriving and not the sales job as was agreed.

I told her to find a way to come back to Nigeria since she has a return ticket that will expire in 4 days time valid till 8th November 2021.

Now the issue is:
1. Her Boss, as she called her earlier took her passport upon arrival in the pretense that she may misplace it or it may get stolen.

2. Her boss insisted on her paying all the debt incurred in processing her peppers which is 125% extra on what she spent in bringing her to Dubai, which amounts to N3.5 million Naira.

Please is there a way she can return back without her international passport since she went there legally and her return ticket is still valid.

Please we need help as during this altercation since yesterday, I cannot communicate with her as her Boss has seized her phone. It's now a matter of life and death.

She was trafficked, this is obviously against her wish.

Gather evidence proving all you are doing was not your intention from the onset( remember she is not a minor)

Find your way to US embassy in UAE, tell them you are an exploited woman, let them know there will be consequences if you go back to Nigeria (instant death)

Your sister could be granted assaylum.

Contact UAE police, contact US embassy. You think these people don't have connect.
She have to be smart about it by first running to a safe place, then make all necessary contact in Nigeria and abroad to track those people.
If not she go just die sara

Tell her to send you her location on WhatsApp because she may not have access to phone henceforth because those guys are ruthless.
With that u can can forward it to people so the can track her location.

Try reaching Mrs Abike Dabiri's Office Nigeria Diaspora Commission,I think they are the ones in charge of situations like this.

Finally be fast before she is abducted to another location.

She should go report to the police. Also, she could go to the Nigeruan High Commission to get an Electronic Travel Certificate to enable her return back if she can't get her passport.

In addition, hope they signed documents showing she was coming to work a sales job.

She knew it was a snake yet she picked it up....

Na since 2016 i don dey hear tales of traffickers luring girls to UAE under the pretext of giving them sales rep job and I'm sure your sister don hear the tales too. Maybe she bin think say her own case go dey different because she's serving a living God.

Hopefully one day Naija girls go drop this their gullibility cloak and embrace cynicism

As for the solution -> Just tell her to walk into a police station. But before she does so make she just pray say the policemen she go meet no go be the ones wey dey under the payroll of her p i m p.

The issue here is, does your sister really want to come back?

Sometimes conscience can deceive some people

She may see that when she returns to Nigeria, that she will be back to square one to face her unemployment and maybe she have done one or two jobs there and might have been paid

If she is willing to return to Nigeria before the expiration of her return flight, then she should look for a way to contact the UAE police and her madam will be arrested and prosecuted duly

Same old shit. They may do really bad things to her if she refuses to cooperate. That madam has a group of boys for her.

I would have told her to go to the Nigerian embassy over there, but I have my concerns about this dumb country.

As an alternative, I would've suggested that she reports to the Dubai police but they too are racists and may lock her up if she overstays (my opinion).

In this case, tell her to make a video and flee to the Nigerian embassy.

You should send the video to video bloggers (Instablog9ja) and the rest so they can loud it.

Bonus points of she has the photos of her madam, so she can include it in the video, force her underground and protect other Nigerian girls who may fall into the trap.

Prostituting herself would be the worst decision she would ever make.

They will refuse to return her documents if she repays and will force her to pay more cash. And by then, she would've overstayed her visa, which will make Dubai authorities throw her into prison and she'd need to pay a lump sum to secure her release, plus a permanent visa ban from travelling to Dubai.

If she doesn't pay up (which means prostituting herself) they will probably kill her and harvest her organs or one kidney (best case scenario) to sell in the black market for organ trafficking to recover their 'investment'. Act quickly by contacting NAPTIP here.
