Am having little fears, have not been to Canada, I don't know how they operate, I don't have family there, my friend that applied for me stays in New York.

What if I go and things didn't work out fine, I lose my 210k job and lose Canada job.

continue with your 210k job and leave Canada job alone then if you are doubting it or being skeptical about it .

But things hardly go wrong, relatively to Nigeria. Once you are employed by the company in Canada, they will train you up to their standard. So no qualms.

If the company hasn’t issued the Certificate of Sponsorship and a visa given by the Canadian embassy, don’t resign from your work

Congrats. I am sure the offer letter comes with terms and conditions. The amount u will be paid, the job hours, your duty, accommodation or without accommodation. All this must be stated in the job offer. So u don't have to fear for anything since they will send u the contract for u to sign cus u can't just use email congratulation email message to get visa. Don't resigne yet in ur work place without making sure that ur visa is available. What u have to do once u apply for visa and the embassy give u visa, then u should take leave in ur working place within that one month if it didn't work out over there in Canada u can still come back and continue ur job. But whether u know someone in Canada or not u should not be afraid since is employment visa u don't have a problem. All the best

Any foreign company that offers you a job outside your country must help you process a work permit and of course visa. No Canadian company will offer you a job without helping you or guiding you on how to secure visa.


And most jobs in Canada and other developed countries will require foreign applicants to register with their professional body in charge of that job sector in order to qualify to practice in that country, and if you are not fully registered with the job sector's regulatory body, there is no way Canadian government or Immigration will recognize the job offer to even talk of issuing you a work visa to enter Canada because it means you do not have the required qualification to practice in their country. It is mostly Asian countries that can issue jobs to foreigners without the foreigner registering with their regulatory bodies, I doubt such applies to Europe or Canada or Australia, etc.


Also do note that not all companies in Canada or the US have the license or permit to employ foreigner and issue i-20 form in the case of USA. Same applies to schools, not all schools are qualified to issue that form to foreign or international students.



Be careful that stuff looks like an organized work visa scam.


Ask them for your visa or how to secure your visa.

There's no issue here. Contact the company nau and ask questions about work permit, go to Canada's embassy website to read up, go through threads on Canada immigration....no issue at all here. Just get relevant info that's all
